Excellent customer service. Beautiful clothes.

The customer service I received from Rebekah was excellent. I can’t fault East at all. Speedy responses and a perfect solution to my problem. I received a blouse with a faulty sleeve, after sending photos another blouse was sent out quickly and didn’t need to return the faulty one. All the clothes I have bought from East are beautiful and very good quality. The sizes are consistent and very flattering in my opinion. I have only had to return one blouse as the colour didn’t suit me and I was refunded within days. My experience with East has been perfect. I highly recommend both the customer service and clothes.

Service charges lead to complacency with waiting staff

We were part of a table of four on Saturday 25th October at East restaurant in Peterborough when we found the food to be excellent. However, the restaurant charged for service , which many people feel obliged to pay without question. The service was actually very poor and had the other couple been more assertive, we would have asked for this to be deducted. We had to attract attention whenever we wanted another drink - and this was not easy. I think more people should be aware that a service charge is not mandatory
Disappointed!

I have requested so many times for a return label. Sent proof of sale on bank statement also riyal mail delivery. They only reply saying thank you but nothing more. I used to be a good customer of east what’s happened to them.

This is just a general review/opinion

This is just a general review. I used to buy all my special dresses to go on holiday from East when they had shops on the High Street. The clothes were a little pricey but worth it for their beautiful fabrics and designs. I still have a couple of dresses from 10 years ago. The designs are now shapeless and do nothing to enhance your figure and the if the models are supposed to be selling the products they are not. The whole range (of course only my opinion) is baggy, shapeless with no style. Sadly I haven't bought anything for ages as it all looks bad quality of fabric and design but at high end prices. Come on East get back to the beautiful traditional styles.

Forget 1 star this company do not deserve any stars

If I could give a zero score I would. The customer service I have experienced from Rebekah is appalling. I ordered a dress last summer which costs almost £100! I wore it maybe a dozen times absolute max and I am being generous saying this. I got it out this summer and noticed when I was wearing it the material has deteriorated on one part of the dress. Given the fact this is a £100 dress and given the fact I have only worn it for one season I asked if I could exchange it as clearly the quality cannot be at an acceptable standard. I was met with a computer says no type response and absolutely no acknowledgment of what I was trying to explain at all. I may as well have banged my head against a brick wall. Their email response finishes with I hope this does not deter you from buying from us again. The insincerity of that statement is off the scale. Of course it does. I have never ever had such appalling customer service from a company that charge high end prices for the quality of what they produce. I was just taken in by the pretty designs. Please if you read this review do not be tempted by what appear to be beautiful dresses. The quality is poor and the customer service is dreadful. I wish I had read the reviews on trust pilot before I made my first order. You have been warned!

Utterly useless customer service

Utterly useless customer service and not helpful at all.
I bought a full price expensive dress from their new line, which went down 30% off and additional 10% with a code in 30 days after my purchase.
You don’t expect a dress from a new collection to go down with such a massive discount and asked CS to authorise a return of this dress two days overdue their return policy.
Refused straight away.
Cheap brand. They lost a customer today.

Great clothes and experience

I'm a little surprised by all the 1 star feedback, but perhaps I've been lucky.
I've ordered a few items from them since December, and honestly, most of them fit and look amazing.
Where I've needed to return items, this has been really easy and receiving my refunds were quick.
Hope you can turnaround the 1 stars as I love your range of clothes and would be so sad if you shut down.

Parcel Missing and ignored by customer service

Parcel was supposed to be on next day delivery. Waited 3 days and still hadn’t been dispatched. Asked them to cancel the order as I was at a temporary address on holiday and was leaving the next day. They ignored. Even though I was in my legal rights to do so. Then they decided to send it against my wishes. Put the parcel on stop my end with courier. Requested they speak to the courier and asked for it to be stopped. Still ignored. Then parcel was sent out against my wishes to the holiday address luckily nobody was at the address and it was vacant. Parcel was delivered apparently but courier delivered without a signature and took a picture of a black screen as proof as delivery. I have no way of tracking it down. It has been missing for weeks. Asked East for help repeatedly and have constantly been ignored and they have never responded to me to me once. I paid for next day delivery to avoid any issue and they failed to send it on time. It has almost been a month. My next step is to register a complaint with my credit card company. As I have not received the goods. They failed to delivery, failed to communicate and went against their own delivery terms by delivering without a signature and valid photograph as proof of delivery to whom knows who but won’t help resolve the problem. Avoid. Or buy on a credit card so you are protected.

Returned item , confirmed email 13 Dec 24?from East saying they had receiving the return , still waiting for the money to be returned to me it is now 30 Dec !!!

Very careless packing

I awaited for my size by putting my email as had sold out of size 18.
I eventually got it delivered to me nd was shocked it was screwed up in the cloth bag that was put in the paper delivery bag, it was really creased. So carelessly put in for £90 I had spent on it. Obviously someone returned it and they didn't check maybe? And just stuck it in bag.... Really shocked considering prices of this brand?

Absolutely shocking quality

Absolutely shocking poor quality of these clothes. I have now had two tops that have literally fallen apart the second time I washed them. I washed them individually, on 30 degrees delicates cycle, with delicates laundry liquid and both were full of holes when I got them out of the washing machine. Both cost over £70 each. I will never buy any more clothes from this company ever, absolutely disgusting quality and total waste of money.

Avoid this company!

I wish that I had read the reviews on here before ordering from this company. I've waited over 14 days for my refund as per their refund statement and still nothing. I'm owed £119 and will take this further if I don't receive my refund in the next few days. Disgusting 'service', I won't be ordering from this company again and will be advising people to keep well clear of this awful company.

Poor Refund Service

Sent a return to this company and been awaiting my refund even though my parcel has been delivered on the 9th Aug…..the amount of time they take to refund is appalling for a company that charges a lot of money for their clothing! Not had this sort of problem from other companies such as Mint Velvet, their refunds are instant! Will not be ordering from this company again! East Clothing….give me my money back!!!

Really disappointed

Still waiting for longer than 14 days for my refund even though they have acknowledged receipt of the return , keep emailing to no avail, no response, they have even taken another payment, have emailed so many times, now sending all correspondence to trading standards. Would never order from them again

Buyer beware - £440 return missing

I ordered in excess of £500 of clothes from East. Kept one beautiful dress and returned the rest to the value of £439.75.

The parcel was returned via the instructions in the customer returns portal. Over 6 weeks later I noticed that I had not received a refund onto my PayPal account. I emailed Customer Services, was promised a reply in 3 days but received nothing. After a week I opened a dispute with PayPal.

PayPal has asked questions that I need access to the returns portal to answer. East have locked me out of the returns portal due to the item being ordered over 30 days ago and wont deal with me as I have an open case with PayPal ... .

Customer Service standards at East are clearly dreadful (judging by other Trustpilot reviews) and I have no confidence in their returns process either.

I've effectively been swindled out of £440!

I won’t be ordering again.
I ordered a dress at the last minute for a special occasion. I paid ‘ express ‘ delivery 1-2 working days . Dress arrived 6 days later . I had missed the event so needed to send back . I emailed about this requesting refund for postage , received a ‘holding’ email - we have got your query and will be in touch soon etc .
Several days later a response saying they would refund the express delivery , nothing about the return postage.
I returned the dress received refund within 14 days email . After 14 days refund being issued will be a further 10 days .
Appalling customer service will not use again . Ps I am still waiting for my money gave up with postage .

Greedy, misleading and appalling CS

I have purchased a few items and been disappointed as not the East quality I was used to before they closed their stores, however, having recently purchased a skirt I felt the advert had been quite misleading and the quality was very poor.

Returned it at my expense, waited the 14 day max timescale as advised for refund only to be told it will take a further 10 days!
This is not acceptable.
The item I returned which was a sold out sale item went back onto their site after return and again went out of stock within 24 hrs!
Needless to say but I wont be shopping with East again…. Shame as it seems you need my money badly enough that you dont want to part with it!
