This experience would have been enjoyable if Avis had not charged a fee on top of the price agreed with esasyCar.
I paid for a car rental with easy car and I could not get the car due to not having a credit car. They transfer the service to a third party. I called them to get the money back and the AI was not very helpful. I am still waiting for the £150. Avoid

Took my money on booking but when I arrived at the car hire desk to collect my car they said they did not have any cars available and no alternative options. Then refused to refund the booking/hire fee. Total scam. do not use.

Seamless collection of car. Arrived just before the bus arrived dropping off 4 customers. The phone rang several times and was still treated attentively. Worked well under pressure. Would definitely use again.
We appreciated the friendly and helpful staff and the easy pick up and return of the car
Zero stars!!!!! Was upsold insurance, guy didnt explain well at all. Claimed i stratched the car. Insurance didnt cover scratches they made me pay and extra £200 for useless insurance and £450 for scratch they wont even fix as the whole car was battered! So total cost was £890 for weeks rental. DO NOT HIRE FROM THEM!!!!

Hassle free service. Car wasn’t very clean but did us fine.
Wide range of choices, we chose Hertz - Excellent and fast service at the airport, great car, easy to find pick up and drop off locations, highly recommend
I would rate this company 0 stars if I could. Biggest scam company I have ever come across. Was charged £180 (inc premium insurance) for a car I was never given. After weeks of chasing them for a refund, I was told I was not eligible as I did not meet the t&cs, ABSOLUTE SCAM AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Would be 0 stars, made a booking they changed the collection location so we had to contact them to change the location, they had to rebook and charge us again confirming they had issued a refund for the first booking, 4 weeks later and hours of chasing still no refund, legal action seems to be the only way forward. Avoid at all costs a very crooked business with questionable practices

Disgusted with Easycar and their associations as a company to fraudulent businesses. They promote companies that you would expect they had vetted and deem as trustworthy, wrong!
Hired a car through them with a company call Wheego (also avoid) and on arrival to collect car were hugely scammed with additional fees. It is a massive fraud operation and on looking at reviews post booking I could have avoided. Lesson learnt. However Easycar will have had multiple complaints re this company and still choose to promote them and work with them. I have reached out to Easycar and they have been very quick to wash their hands of any responsibility. We booked through you, trusting as a company you only had affiliations with respectable and trustworthy businesses. Sadly not the case and also zero support when we have communicated with you for assistance. No customer focus or concern for how customers have been treated.

In large part my frustration is of my own making. I would offer up this advice... check your T&C's.. they cover every eventuality and use them to refuse just about everything. Personally I won't use the company / subsidiaries again. Go for a more trusted car hire company. Its worth it ! I'm still in dispute and the comms is really poor from the broker they use CAR TRAWLER. This broker i wont also use again. My experience of going through the hire and comms prior to the hire are positive and the information was informative and clear.
* As an update. Ive recieved the reply below. A solution to my issues was offered, and a compromise reached. I would reiterate that when you book car hire, please double-check everything and account for the time difference to where you land. This is more for the inexperienced hirers such as myself.

My partner was upsold additional fees when they picked up the car despite what it says on the easycar website. Easycar absolved themselves even though the booking was made with them. Absolutely stitches us up as we needed the car. Avoid like STDs!
Update: having already spoken to their customer services at length multiple times, they have offered an email address to contact in response to this review... even though they have the booking details?!

I hired a car through easycar, to collect from Goldcar at Reus airport. On arrival the Goldcar rep was not interested in even looking at the easycar paperwork. Insisted that I paid 1100euro deposit and upgraded to a bigger car as the only car he had available was a Mitsubishi Colt. I hired a VW Polo or equivalent. I already had excess insurance through easycar but he wasn't interested and insisted I paid the 1100euros on a credit card. I refused to pay the 1100euros and told him I didn't have a credit card. He then changed his mind and told me I would have to opt for another package costing an additional 420euros on top of the easycar hire I had already paid £218. An absolute farse. I have complained to Easycar and asked for a refund.
My reply to Easycar:
The Gold car rep said he had all the info on his screen and didn't need to see the paper work from Easycar. So he would have known that I had already purchased excess cover but still told me I needed extra cover as that was part of the upgrade package. Is that not mis-selling if I didn't need it.

For what I paid the car was poor quality, high millage, dented, no sat nav, no water for the windscreen wipers, fag burns on the seats and was not sure it would make the journey we needed to make

Very pleasant experience from the time we arrived to dropping off car, better than expected overall and better than other big brand rental companies I have used before. I will use this company every year if the prices remain competitive!
On the day of our flight, we were informed of a 2-hour delay and called EasyCar to confirm our booking. They said it was fine but warned of an extra fee if we arrived after 11 p.m.
We landed at 10:45 p.m., reached the rental desk just before 11, and tried calling several times on the way – no answer. Once there, the manager was called for unclear reasons. After waiting an hour, we were told our booking had been cancelled without notice and our payment was lost.
Our only option, late at night with no taxis available, was to make a new booking for €600 more. The next day, EasyCar refused to help or refund us.
Extremely poor service – avoid at all costs.

What a terribly incompetent company.
We had a delay with our airline, which we reported to EasyCar, and we were told this would not be a problem.
When we arrived at the rental company at the airport, we were told that the booking had been cancelled because we arrived too late.
In the middle of the night, the three of us women were standing in a dark corner of the airport waiting for the manager to arrive. There was really only one option (no choice!), which was to make an entirely new booking and rent a new car, as there were no taxis available. Out of sheer necessity, we accepted the new booking.
EasyCar will not refund us because, according to them, we signed the rental terms and therefore agreed to it.
So, we ended up paying twice, and I think we’ve already sent about five emails to the company trying to get our money back. Each time, they tell us again that we won’t be getting a refund.
Do not rent a car through this company!!
