Brian and Easyfiler help make what is a very cumbersome and resource intensive process much more efficient and cost effective! Not having to purchase a subscription to expensive tax software (which HMRC seem to just expect everyone to do) has been very welcomed!

This is continuation of my former complaint which follows Mr. Carroll's reply to it.

Just two things. From his reply he unveils he is not straightforward. he says that the service intends to be almost self-managed. If that is so, why he failed to let me know since last year? As O stated it in my first complaint he submitted my company accounts last year. It follows that, if I was going to have difficulties in submitting the accounts this year I was obviously expecting him to do the same for me this year. In a nutshell. he presents things as if I was aware of such characteristic of his system. He is fully aware that people outside does not know I was completely unaware of what he wrote. Hence his particular style of writing. He hides the very gist of the issue.

Secondly, he also says that the main thing is that I finally submitted the accounts without his help. FALSE. He did change some figures and then submitted the accounts. And he does not say the accounts were submitted after 31/Mar/2024, which is the deadline. He is fully aware HMRC is going to fine me for £100.00 for late submission. Is he going to pay me for that? No, I definitely do not approve anything he said and did. And o mean it.

The easy filer was easy to use. The free sample allowed you to check your files would work before paying. Easyfiler created and submitted my CT600 and I have just paid my Corporation Tax. Job done. The issue I had was getting a Corporation Tax Computation File which worked. The one from my accounts package did not work and I could not identify all the errors. I ended up using Notepad to reduce the HMRC sample file from ~1000 entries to the ~20 I needed and then populate it with my figures.

Great service and great value. Made iXBRL CT filing compliance easy.
