Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers appreciate the clear and intuitive website, finding it easy to navigate and compare prices. They often highlight the competitive pricing and the convenience of finding suitable rental cars. Reviewers also frequently praise the service for being efficient, professional, and well-organized, leading to a smooth booking process and reliable car rentals. However, some people were dissatisfied with unexpected additional costs and a lack of transparency regarding pricing and payment. Several customers reported being charged extra for services they believed were already included or for issues like roadside assistance and fuel. There were also instances where customers faced significant additional fees at the rental desk, sometimes due to policies not clearly communicated, such as credit card name requirements or late arrival clauses.

Dreadful company

Dreadful company. I booked through EasyTerra only to find that I was not provided a car. I arrived at the designated address to collect a car but was turned away. Imagine planning a family holiday under these circumstances. I have been hiring cars for over 30 years with no issues - until EasyTerra. Customer support is non existent. Never again

DO NOT USE EASYTERRA THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED

DO NOT USE Easyterra THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. I rented Goldcar through Easyterra at Podgorica airport well in advance, calling Easyterra immediately after my initial booking to confirm no mandatory Goldcar additional charges as none were mentioned in EasyTerra booking documentation (e.g. winter tyres, snow chains, cleaning etc.) which Easyterra confirmed. On 20/3/26 airport arrival, Goldcar cheated me by forcing me to pay €60.50 for legally required winter equipment (and paid them another €24 to avoid them charging me €67 if they decided car was not clean enough on return). When I called EasyTerra soon after arrival at the airport to complain, they initially seemed helpful and agreed that I had no choice but to pay these charges as even more expensive to rent a car at the last minute. However on return despite wasting time sending them several emails EasyTerra refused my claim. Although it was Goldcar (part of Europcar) that actually cheated me, I relied on misleading EasyTerra’s documentation and misleading answers via EasyTerra to my queries when making the booking so they are jointly responsible. I have now requested full call transcripts from EasyTeraa but doubt whether they will answer my query and will simply refer to the supplier documentation I was forced to sign on arrival as agreed by the EasyTerra representation I complained to on arrival.

A comprehensive website that chooses comparable options for you, to rent a car. Additional Worry Free insurance can be chosen.

A comprehensive website that chooses comparable options for you, to rent a car. The website is very clear and intuitive. I use EasyTerra for 5 years now, to book a car in Europe, and they never disappointed me. Tip: select on Worry Free. This gives you full coverage, including reimbursement of own risk in case of damage, and you don't need to buy (extensive) insurance upon pick-up.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY - SCAM!

APPALLING experience – AVOID this company at all cost!!!! Do not use this company unless you want to be scammed!

I specifically booked the “worry-free” option online, which turned out to be the complete opposite. From the moment I arrived, everything went downhill. I had reserved a Ford Focus 5-door (this is exactly the car represented and mentioned in the listing - no mention of receiving anything else) , only to be told at the desk that they don’t even stock that vehicle – or anything remotely similar.

To make matters worse, I was then forced to pay an additional £200 just to get a car that actually met my basic needs – essentially the type of car I thought I had already paid for in the first place. This is nothing short of false advertising.

I reached out to their customer support to raise a complaint and got absolutely nowhere. No accountability, no proper response, and certainly no resolution. Completely unhelpful.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so shockingly BAD that I feel obligated to warn others. Do not book with this company unless you’re prepared to be misled and overcharged.

PLEASE READ GUYS! IMPORTANT!

They might be cheaper but be ready to have 0 customer service and possibly loose all your money! They took my payment in full while booking online and promised I could pick up the vehicle even with a debit card, got to the airport weeks later and the lady at the hertz counter told me that I need it a credit card, they refused to give me a vehicle and help me because it was booked via thrid party website (easy terra), I contacted easy terra and after weeks of silence all I got was an automated email saying that my booking was cancelled and that my payment was forfeited. PURE SCAM!

If im not there on time I loose the booking with no refund. I called she actually said "tough, you loose". Do not book a hire car through this company. Customer services based in Portugal and not interested.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

DO NOT book your car through EasyTerra or Wheego.

I rented a car for 22 days from 9th February 2026 at Manchester Airport, and the experience was extremely stressful and unacceptable.

The website does NOT clearly explain that the credit card must show your full name exactly as it appears on your driving licence. In the UK, most credit cards only show initials and surname due to data protection. This is completely normal.

I first used a company credit card — refused.
I then provided my personal credit cards (Monzo, Amex, HSBC) — all in my name — refused again.

Their excuse? The name was not printed exactly how they wanted it. This is their own internal policy, and it was NOT made clear at the time of booking.

After putting me under pressure at the desk, their “solution” was to charge me an extra £400 on top of my rental. They tried to justify it by saying it would still be cheaper than booking direct. They also “upgraded” me from a Fiat 500 to a Corsa — which I did not ask for and did not need.

This felt like a tactic to force additional charges once I had no other option at the airport.

The whole situation caused unnecessary stress and completely ruined the start of my trip. Policies like this should be made crystal clear before payment is taken — not when you are standing at the counter.

Save yourself the hassle and book directly with a reputable hire company.

Learn from my experience — do not make the same mistake.

Avoid at any cost

Avoid at any cost. Worst company.misleading and don't give you much details witch company you are picking the car from. Normally I book from the companies directly and I know what I have to pay as I always rent a car with fully insured and 0 excess. When you book with them fully cover they don't tell you the company (in my case was eurocar) and took me more than 30 minutes to find out by phone calls, and also was a deposit of £1200. I will not recommend this company even if they pay me a million pounds

Avoid this company at all costs.
I had a confirmed booking to collect a car from Birmingham Airport on 11 February 2026 and return it on 18 February 2026.
Booking number is ET29608910.
When I arrived (around one hour later than the scheduled pickup time), I was told my car was “no longer available. they demanded an extra £200 just to give me another vehicle. This felt like pure opportunistic upselling.
Even worse, they refused to refund the money I had already paid.
This experience felt dishonest, unfair, and completely unprofessional.
I will never use them again and strongly recommend others look elsewhere.

They charged me €406 extra;

Shortly, stay away from this platform because their costs and collaboration with car rental companies are not transparant!

Double charged.

Booked via EasyTerra (partner Budget, Orlando MCO, Aug 2025) with “Worry Free” for a hassle-free rental. At the counter, after a long flight, you’re handed a stack of papers to sign quickly. Later we found added extras: Roadside Assistance Plus (while breakdown cover is already included with Worry Free), and a fuel charge even though the car was returned full. Customer service was hard to reach and mostly deflected to the partner, offering no solution. You pay for worry-free, but get extra hassle and double charges. We won’t use EasyTerra again.

Don't rent a car through Easyterra

Don't rent a car through Easyterra. They're scammers. We rented a car in Costa Rica with a worry-free label. We thought it would be carefree. We even received a note in three languages that we could give to the rental company upon arrival in case they wanted to push extra insurance on us.

We chose a rental company at the airport, so we wouldn't need a shuttle to the countryside, but a quick trip. We had a three-hour drive after arriving, so we wanted to get going as soon as possible.

After arriving, Dollar, the rental company, directed us to the parking lot. We waited there for 15 minutes, thinking we were waiting for the car. Nothing could be further from the truth; a shuttle bus showed up and took us to a location outside the airport. It wasn't the agreed-upon date, but what do you do? The car was already paid for, and it was getting late.

Once we arrived at the rental location, the insurance hassle began. I politely hand over the note, and the Dollar employee insists that Dutch insurance isn't valid, but hey, it's up to you. We decline all the offers and head out. After a few days, I'm starting to feel uneasy. Turns out we're not properly insured at all. Liability is only covered up to about €120. If we had an accident due to our own fault, it would have cost us a fortune.

After contacting EasyTerra, it turns out that "Worry Free" isn't worry free at all; liability isn't covered. It's a scam. We had to call Dollar ourselves, from Costa Rica.

Then we had to return the car. EasyTerra's pages literally say "Return at the airport," with the airport address. Dollar then says that's not the intention, so we have to return the car elsewhere. Again, not as agreed. Ultimately, we can return the car at the airport, but it costs an extra $50. We assumed that would be the cost for EasyTerra, but what's the deal? No, sorry, we can't avoid those costs. In fact, I have to call Dollar again, and when I tell them that's not possible with an eSIM, I get a whole lecture about being reachable abroad and being able to call if necessary. Of course, I activate my Dutch SIM card in case of emergency, but who does Julia from EasyTerra think she is?

We're going to finish our vacation now, but when we get home, we're really going to get to work on this. Here's a warning: don't fall for this. EasyTerra is a first-class scam.

Helpful service at reasonable prices

This is the second time I've used EasyTerra and again found them to be excellent. They provide useful advice before picking up the car and were so helpful when Avis tried to charge me for another week in Florida. They're excellent value for money in comparison to other companies. Would definitely use them again.
