If you have a choice, better use someone else
EBRL were used as a subcontractor of Stellar Energy on a green energy grant (through Oxfordshire CC) installation of solar panels so I didn’t get a choice whether to use them or not. The fitters arrived without an electrician so could only fit the panels on the roof of the garage, not install the inverter or connect and test. The electrician arrived 3 days later to install the inverter but wouldn’t go on the roof to connect up the strings, so no test either. A few days later a roofer from EBRL arrived with no equipment or ladders to connect up the strings. I asked how he was going to get up on the garage roof, to which he replied he’d been doing this for years and no problem. He promptly put his foot through the garage roof. I told him to stop which he did, and phoned EBRL. They said everything would be fine, he was their most experienced roofer and if he caused any more damage, he’d repair it there and then. He connected up the strings, but didn’t test the system as he wasn’t qualified. He also left 2 dozen broken roof tiles in his wake. I phoned EBRL, spoke to Kelly, yes they would replace. Weeks later no tiles, I phoned Kelly and texted and phoned Tom one of their QA managers, no response. I eventually emailed OCC, Stellar Energy, EBRL, National Energy Foundation who manage the grants for OCC, eventually got a response from Rachael Gavin, FD of EBRL. No problem she effectively said and that Tom would be in touch. Silence. I phoned and texted Tom and Kelly again, sent him photos and measurements of the tiles required, eventually told me the tiles had been ordered but that they would only accept one delivery attempt as the cost of the delivery was more than the tiles. The tiles arrived when I was out but were left on the driveway. Hey presto, wrong size tiles, no use at all to me. I again texted and phoned Tom to arrange replacement and collection, “I’ll sort it”, he replied, then silence. That was several weeks ago, I’ve emailed Ms Gavin again, silence.
I didn’t have a choice whether to use EBRL, if you have a choice I personally would look elsewhere. Their after sales customer service is extremely lacking, almost non existent, they seem to be only interested in installing the equipment and then getting paid without any notion of after sales care. Be warned.
