Great company, really nice staff. The prices are very competitive and I much prefer supporting a completely ethical and vegan company instead of supporting Tesco etc. Now a regular shopper :)

Time from order to delivery was several days and the day for delivery was uncertain for too long.
Packaging was not eco friendly, too much plastic.

The Eco Collective is a run by a team of two whose goal is to make it easier to find everything vegan all in one place with the fairest pricing possible. In order to do this, we have formed a buyers group. We collate many orders in advance so that we can buy products in larger quantities, reducing the cost of goods and in turn passing those savings on to our members. We are in the pretty early stages of development and building our member base is absolutely key in scoring the best deals possible so that we can see some serious discounts across the board.
There is always a day or two delay in shipping your order as we have to group it with others and get it sent to the supplier offering the best bulk deal. We will take on board your comment about being uncertain and look into making more contact about shipping in the future.
On the packaging used - We go as far as we possibly can to reduce the amount of waste in our shipping materials. We spent a very long time trying to find the best solutions including recycled paper void fill and a paper alternative to plastic bubble wrap for glass. We are more likely to stock products with compostable/biodegradable packaging but as you can imagine, if we only stocked these products, we would not have much to offer. Making veganism accessible and affordable is our primary mission and we are positive that as people are awakening to what they are putting in their bodies and the environmental impact that agriculture has on the planet, they are also becoming very aware of other environmental issues such as the use of plastics. Demand will force producers to adapt with the packaging that they choose to use, just as demand is forcing companies to produce vegan options or become more vegan friendly.
We will always strive to find the best solutions for cutting down waste and the use of plastics. We have plans to invest in an extensive range of bulk whole foods and fill paper/Vegware bags to order for a completely zero waste experience and hope that you will stay in touch until then.

The selection of food is awesome.
The selection of food is awesome, it’s cheaper than in the shops and the personal service is great. Will order from them on a regular basis. If I had to have a tiny moan ( and this is only for possible improvements) the website was a bit hard to navigate.
Very happy I discovered this company.

Also the postage and packing is rather expensive, and the parcel took a while to arrive, but there were no actual problems with it: regular e-mails updating you on progress. And you do get Bonus Beans which give you discounts on future purchases, and extra Beans for introducing new members.

You were one of our very first members and since you joined us we have learnt a lot and made some tweaks. We now offer a completely free membership. This entitles members to discounts off of their shopping with no fees or donations to the Community Pot. Please send us an email at hello@ecocollective.co.uk, if you would like to try the free membership instead. The discounts will not be as great as with your current membership but may be better suited if you would prefer to place smaller orders.
We also managed to get a better deal on our shipping costs and passed the savings straight to the Collective. It is now just £4.99 for up to 30kg!
