Caused major damage and refuse to help

Within 24 hours of having their representative do a 'free' rodent inspection in my attic, the ceiling of my garage fell in in an area covering my laundry location. Drywall and insulation covered everything. The hole is 10' x 5'. They told me I had a crack there but I believe they caused the ceiling to fall. I requested assistance in cleaning the area (I would even pay the repair. They refused to acknowledge ANY responsibility and then ghosted me when I wrote to the local manager with a quote for clean up. I have written to ask for written confirmation that they will cancel my annual contract without penalty. I definitely do not recommend this company.

Pushy sales people and complicated…

Pushy sales people and complicated contract that takes 3 calls to cancel. Even after canceling they showed up and billed me. Canceling the contract is different than canceling the service apparently.

To exit contract you pay a steep fee so there's no way to get out once you're locked in. Do not sign up.

Deceptive Sales Tactics and Predatory Cancellation Fees

This company uses deceptive and aggressive sales tactics to lock customers into ongoing service contracts.

The salesperson pressured me into signing the contract and made it seem like I could try the service for a couple of visits and then decide whether I wanted to continue. After two service visits, I decided to cancel. At that point, I was told there would be a $250 termination fee.

Although I was not happy about the fee, I agreed to pay it. However, the company then told me that instead of paying the cancellation fee, I could complete three additional services at $99 each, and after those three services, the contract would be terminated.

I completed the three additional services as agreed, but my contract was still not canceled. Now the company is again asking me to pay the $250 termination fee on top of the additional services I already paid for.

This is extremely unfair and misleading. I feel the company did not honor what was discussed and continued to keep me in the service after I had clearly requested cancellation. This has been a very frustrating experience, and I would not recommend this company to others.

Deceptive, Predatory Sales Tactics

This company practices deceptive sales tactics in an attempt to lock customers in a revolving service, coating unwitting customers thousands each year. They do not notify a new customer of the three day "cool down" period for cancelling, required by the federal government. They will often send out someone to service the home within one day of signing a contract as to work around anyone who may want to cancel.
I had an issue with brown widows in my shed and that was all I would have needed their service for. The salesperson stated that they would conduct three treatments "discounted" @ $215 a service. Once the third service was done, I thought I was done with them. Two months later, they sent a text stating that someone would be by to service my house. I called their customer support telling them that the contract had been fulfilled. The customer support person told me that I am actually contracted for 5 services. I can't afford to have them come to my house and said as much. They offered to wait until the next month to perform a service for only $100. I agreed. Instead, they sent out someone two weeks later and charged me the full amount. I called again and they denied their previous offer and told me I'm locked in for two years worth of services and if I wish to cancel, I would owe the total that was discounted for each service which would come to $994.
Unfortunately, I have no copy of the original contract as they only offer a signature box to sign once an agreement has been made (in good faith). This company is a scam service using high pressure sales tactics. I refused to pay the cancellation fee and they promptly sent me to collections and reported a delinquency on my credit report. I am currently working with an attorney on a class action lawsuit and strongly encourage anyone else who has been through this to look into joining the lawsuit as well.

No soliciting also means do not come into my gated back yard uninvited

This dude just let himself into my GATED backyard and was walking around like he owned the place. I asked what he was doing there, and he tried to start his sales pitch. Told him I have a pest control company, and for him to please leave. He tried asking what company I use, told him that's not his business and told him I won't say it a third time, but to please leave my private GATED backyard. Stood there looking at me for a hot minute before he finally let himself out. WTH! Looked them up just out of curiosity, because damn, pushy much? Apparently they are involved in a class action lawsuit for dodgy business and ripping people off. Stay off my lawn and away from my house!

WARNING - NEVER USE

Do not, under any circumstances use this company. They misled us about the services we needed and then refused to refund us for the services we didn't need to begin with. They never produced evidence showing why they recommended certain services.

The services we did want never worked - we still has mosquitoes and we still had ants. We had them come out multiple times and it never got better. You are better off getting your own ant traps and save your money and frustration.

They are all shady and their customer service is absolutely embarrassing. The worst of the worst possible experience. DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!!!!

Rude salesman

I repeatedly told the salesman, who continuously showed up to my house, that I wasn't interested because I already have a service. When I finally closed the door on him he called me a b*tch as he walked away. Absolutely not a company I would want to do service with.

Ecoshield Pest Solutions Sucks, badly!

Hey neighbors, especially my fellow ladies here in Pennsylvania keeping an eye on things while the kids are at school or the hubby’s at work—I wanted to give you all a heads-up because it’s that time of year again when the Ecoshield Pest Solutions sales reps start pounding on doors across our neighborhoods, pushing their “essential” pest control services.
As a mom and homeowner who’s seen way too many stories from friends and folks online, I’m begging you to think twice (or just say no) before opening that door. These guys have had their solicitor permits straight-up revoked in townships like Upper Chichester, West Caln, Edgmont, and Ridley after a flood of complaints—meaning they’re knocking without the proper local documentation, which isn’t just annoying; it’s a real safety hazard for families, especially when it’s just you or the kids home alone with strangers who won’t take “no” for an answer. The reps can get rude and super pressuring, turning a simple “maybe later” into a high-pressure sales pitch that feels downright concerning, and they’ve been known to target elderly folks, widows, or anyone whose spouse isn’t around, swindling them into signing up on the spot. There are dozens of BBB complaints (dozens upon dozens in the Philly area and nationwide) and even ongoing or past class-action lawsuits accusing them of deceptive door-to-door tactics, misleading contracts, and hidden cancellation fees. Their services are wildly overpriced compared to what you actually get, and don’t let them call it a simple “service agreement”—it’s a binding multi-year contract full of fine-print traps with hidden fees and extra charges that sneak in unless you read every single line (which they rush you through on an iPad). Trying to cancel? Good luck—they don’t honor easy outs, and you’ll pay an arm and a leg in steep termination fees (often $150–$250 or more) just to get free, even if the sprays didn’t work and your pest problems came right back. And here’s something else that really gets me: don’t be fooled by their shiny Google reviews that make them look like a 5-star company with tens of thousands of glowing five-star ratings—those are fake and paid-for reviews that pump up their score artificially while the real customer experiences on Yelp, Trustpilot, BBB, and Reddit paint a completely different (and much darker) picture of scams, broken promises, and poor service. That’s why it’s so important to look into sources more and dive deeper into the backend of how crooked this company really is—it goes way deeper than what shows up on a quick Google search, with consistent patterns of complaints across independent platforms that their own website conveniently buries. They’ll sweet-talk you about how their products are “organic, naturally derived, and totally safe for kids and pets,” but that’s completely false—the treatments rely on chemical pesticides (like fipronil, bifenthrin, and pyrethroids listed in their own product sheets) that are toxic to birds, fish, certain plants, smaller dogs, kids, and especially elderly folks or anyone with respiratory or immune issues. These aren’t harmless “green” sprays; many are known to pose health risks, including potential links to cancer with repeated exposure, and they absolutely should not be applied around homes where vulnerable people live. You’re honestly better off skipping Ecoshield entirely and going with a solid company like Terminix, which does the exact same pest control work but on a simple, cheap month-to-month basis with no long-term contract—you can cancel anytime without drama or big fees. (Their reps will straight-up lie and claim Terminix doesn’t offer the same services, but they do, and without the lock-in trap.) Or even better, just handle it yourself with store-bought treatments or a local non-MLM exterminator—plenty of us have had great results without the hassle or the risk. Stay safe out there, lock your doors if they show up unpermitted, do your homework beyond the glossy Google facade, and spread the word so our community doesn’t keep falling for this!

Very poor experience with EcoShield…

Very poor experience with EcoShield Pest Solutions.

I paid upfront for exclusion service and trap monitoring, but after initial visits the service essentially stopped. No one checked the traps initially for over 2 months, came for a curtesy look then again, no show for over three months, despite this being part of the agreement.

As a result, I now have dead mice left in traps that were never serviced, and the original problem is still ongoing with animals accessing the attic.

Multiple attempts to resolve this and request a refund have gone nowhere. Communication has been inconsistent, and appointments were scheduled without actually addressing the issue.

Overall, I paid for a service that was not delivered.

Would not recommend.

Misleading contract terms and inaccurate billing

I had a very poor experience with EcoShield Pest Solutions and would not recommend them.

I was told at signup that the service plan included 4 treatments. I received and have receipts for services in:

June 2025
July 2025
October 2025
January 2026

The January service was especially frustrating—I specifically requested that it be postponed due to over a foot of snow on the ground, but the service was performed anyway, raising serious concerns about effectiveness.

After canceling, I was told I only completed “2 out of 5 services” and was charged a $250 early termination fee. This directly contradicts both my records and what I was told when I signed up.

At best, this is disorganized and misleading. At worst, it feels like an attempt to justify fees with inaccurate information.

I’ve requested a copy of the signed agreement and full service records and am currently disputing the charge.

I would strongly encourage others to:

Get everything in writing upfront
Keep detailed records of all services
Carefully review any contract terms before agreeing

Good service overshadowed by disappointing customer care

My NJ service had been fine until my recent interaction with their representative, Laura, which was extremely disappointing.

I requested an emergency visit for ants in my kitchen (covered under my plan). I was told there were no appointments that week and scheduled for the following week. On the day of the appointment, the technician never showed up and I received no communication. When I called, Laura said the tech had a family issue.

I asked to be rescheduled later that same week due to the urgency, but Laura refused, saying they “would not be in the area.” When I expressed concern and mentioned possibly canceling, her response was simply, “Go ahead and cancel it.”

A few days later, I saw an EcoShield technician servicing a nearby neighbor, contradicting what I was told.

Issues happen, but Laura’s dismissive attitude, lack of effort to help, and inaccurate information turned this into a very negative experience.

Great Experience!

Had a great experience with EcoShield, especially working with Jacob. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through everything without ever feeling pushy or salesy. I really appreciated his approach, he focused on educating and guiding rather than selling, which made a big difference. He even identified an issue we didn’t know we had and provided a practical, cost-effective solution. Highly recommend Jacob and the EcoShield team! Anyone concerned about a contract is uneducated on home services. Jacob is out bug guy for life!

Not worth the cost.

The technicians are kind and good at treating our property. Unfortunately, the rates are high and then when you get a form to review the techs, they prompt you to leave a tip on top of the high service fees. When I called to cancel my service after my contract was up, the representative offered me a permanent 40% discount on future services. I would have appreciated a lower price from the beginning. I don't recommend their service.

Just saw a video on social media

Just saw a video on social media, showing one of your bully salesman attacking and harassing an elderly man. Shame on you. I’ve never seen your pest control except in context of this, and I will absolutely never use it and if any of your salesman show up I will immediately call law-enforcement.

Thanks Eco Shueld

Marques, our service technician from Eci Shield, has just left after another great visit. He is very professional, courteous and efficient. He addresses all our concerns and needs including fire ants which we were not able to eliminate ourselves. Our new home has been more enjoyable and carefree since we joined the Eco Shield family.

Do not use. They will not cancel without you calling and them trying to pitch you over and over and over. Told them I moved and no longer want the service. Didn't matter. They still wanted to pitch me. So annoying. Stay away.

I wish I could give them zero stars

I wish I could give them zero stars. This is a bad company with poor service and their products do not work. Their customer service representatives are unhelpful when filing complaints. Requests and instructions are communicated inaccurately between the customer service department and the service workers. After my second service my yard was worse with ants. I called and spoke with a representative and said I didn’t want them on my yard or doing anything with my yard. Twice they violated this and showed up at my house without my confirmation of their visit or consent. When I spoke with a representative about this they said they gave me a warning 3 days prior to the visit. When I let them know I couldn’t receive their texts and didn’t have access to internet due to being out of the country the rep had no response for me other than that they were under a reoccurring service contract and needed to complete the service. I am not sure what they were doing since they weren’t supposed to be doing anything to my yard and I was not home so they couldn’t go in the house. Now, you might be wondering why I continued to let them come after these experiences, well the problem is, you will be locked into a contract and charged a lot to break it. If I were you I would choose any other service than Eco Shield!!

Ecoshield pest solutions is a trap

Ecoshield pest solutions is a trap. We see their sales people go door to door say lies about the rates they have given to other neighbors and tell us that they giveing better rates to us. Once you agreed then you under trap. Once you agreed with them then you have to take minimum 5 services for the minimum rate of 160$/per service. If you need to cancel it then they charge 250$. Their pest services is one of the worst. There are so many better and reliable pest control companies are in market. EcoShield is like a Scam. We are loosing the right oppertunity to select the perfect pest solutions for our home if we fall to lies of their sales person''s came to your door.
