I usually handle pest control myself

I usually handle pest control myself, but due to back surgery this year, I decided to try EcoShield Pest Solutions. The salesperson promised a trial of three visits at $165 each. After the first two visits, I noticed more pests than before, not fewer. When I asked to cancel the third visit, I was told I had actually signed up for five visits and had to pay $250 to cancel. The service was ineffective, and I felt misled throughout the entire process.

Fired them due to poor service fighting contract!

Under no circumstance, should anybody ever sign a contract with these crooks. The services they perform are not on any type of quality level. I had them come to my home after four times asking them to call me in advance that I needed to have advanced notice. They came to my home when my son was there and they took all of five minutes to complete the interior of my home which could not be possible. It can’t be walked in that amount of time so they do a crappy job. I fired them told them they are not allowed in my home again and then they harassed me for a cancellation charges. I told them under no circumstance will I pay cancellation charges on a contractor which I’m canceling due to breach of service.

Horrible experience

Dealing with Eco Sheild has been the worst expirience ever. Thedid not do anything their said they would do. Never showed up when they were scheduled to arrive … it would get rescheduled for the following week and then they wouldn’t show up again… wasted so much of our time… they are impossible talk to on the phone. Too many things to even say here. they claim the will come between services but could never find a time to schedule to come. what’s worse they want me to pay hundreds of dollars to cancel their service (which they never provided mind you) and now saying they’re gonna send it to collections. It has been an absolute nightmare. I hope this post can save somebody else from the same.

Stay away. Poor business practices

I got them for a stink bug and Boxelder bug problem. They did several treatments during the summer, and I have the same stink bug and Boxelder bug problem this fall I called to have them come out for another treatment, no call no show on the date scheduled. I called to cancel and now they want to charge $250 for a cancellation fee when they never even fixed the problem. Be warned stay away from this company.

They billed me for a service I did not order and did not want. After my many attempts to correct their false bill, they still hound me for payment.

This is a bad bad business. Keep them off your property.

Charged service fee to replace faulty products

I had requested a tech to replace the faulty garage door seals that I had paid $500 to get installed.
When the tech showed up on Oct 1st, he clearly stated he was there to replace the faulty garage door seals. After looking at the seals, he stated he only had the door seal and would have to get the floor bumper and reschedule. He came back to my house a few minutes later, saying he would be back on Friday, Oct 3rd.
At no time, was there a mention that this service would cost me an additional $200 above what I had already paid ($500) for these garage seals.
When I contacted EcoShield, their rep, Baby Po, stated the charge was correct since it was not during a regular schedule service time. I feel when paying $500 for a product it should last more than a year. These garage door seals didn't even last a year.
The tech did return and replace the garage door seals. Yet EcoShield rep Baby Po refused to refund the $200 I was charged. I made the mistake of giving EcoShield my credit card # to pay for the bi-monthly pest service.
Having to pay an additional charge above what I had already paid for this product is a scam.
I have turned this fraudulent charges over to my credit card service. They reviewed my complaint, determined it was fraudulent, canceled my card, and issued a replacement card.
I would not recommend EcoShield for pest control or any other service. They used to be a good company 2 years ago, but now it's poor products, service, and customers care.

Definitely dodged a bullet

We didn't even end up going with EcoShield but the guy who did our inspection was weird from the get-go. He did a thorough inspection, I'll give him that but there were a few things that REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. A) he was wearing Meta glasses. I didn't realize until the end but it made me uncomfortable because you're in my home and I have no idea if you had recorded or taken pictures of anything while inside. B) he was talking to a woman (I'm assuming his wife) for a good portion of the time he was in the house, even with me around. And C) at one point, he angled his phone as if trying to take a picture of me, which made me incredibly uncomfortable as well. After the inspection, he quoted $13,000 for treatment. Absolutely INSANE, in my opinion. Then he tried to sit in my kitchen and negotiate pricing with me even though I made it clear I wasn't the decision maker. Based on everything else I'd read, sounds like I dodged a bullet.

I had a sales person stop in multiple times for two years. I finally felt pressured enough to try their service. I was told I could cancel at any time without penalty. I was also quoted a different price than charged. My employment changed and I have attempted to cancel multiple times. Today, I connected with an overseas agent who stated I had to pay a $250 cancellation fee. He attempted to pressure me into giving him my new location, etc. He said I signed a contract which is misleading. I was not fully informed about the terms of their contracts, including recurring service fees and cancellation penalties. The service guy was signing me up via his telephone. I was pressured into signing agreements without adequate time to review the details. I do not have a contract in my booklet that was mailed stating these fees. I was attempting to help a young man out who was working out in the heat attempting multiple times to obtain clients. It seems like I have been scammed. There is a class action suit that I am researching against them as well.

If there was a way to leave a 0 star review I would. You are better off going to home depot or Lowes and buying pest spray for your yard. It would be a hell of a lot cheaper and better for you. The sales people lie to you and say you can cancel anytime burying the hidden cancelation fees. This place is a scam above all else stay far away.

I thought Ecoshield was pretty expensive but wanted to get rid of snails and told that to the technician. After two very expensive treatments I saw no reduction of snails. I had someone in the business look over my two treatments and no pesticides for snails were used. I asked to discontinue treatments as I see no reason to pay for ineffective treatments. I was charged $250 to discontinue this contract even though I felt that they did not uphold their part of the contract. I will learn to check reviews more closely in the future.

Do your research before using EcoShield

If you had asked me when I first signed up for the services at EcoShield, I would have highly recommended their service. We had an amazing sales rep who was and has been extremely helpful when I have questions or need help. Unfortunately, he is not also responsible for my services in the area where I live. Since we started the treatments I have had to call them back after each treatment for issues that did not get resolved. Most recently we discovered a huge ant infestation only weeks after the last service and I have been trying relentlessly to get someone to come back only to be told they have nothing available for the next month. I ended up having to bring in another service after the latest rep was too bothered to try to find me something sooner on a Friday. Clearly the ant infestation of a customer was not a priority and was cutting into their valuable weekend time off, since she said they can‘t look into it until next week. I fully expect to wait days again to hear from them. I’ve already been passed between three different representatives and see no end in sight. I will be cancelling my services and shopping for a new pest control service right away. I only wish I had looked at the reviews of this company before signing up and that is on me. If anything, my pest situation has gotten worse since they started coming around. Do your research before settling on EcoShield.

Worst Decision

The guy that signed me up was a great guy. The people who came to spray were here for less than 5 minutes and couldn't possibly have sprayed my whole property. When I needed to reschedule, it was impossible. After I tried 3 times to reschedule, I still got a text saying they were coming on the original date.
When I called to cancel, they said it would cost me $250.
When they come to your door, just close the door and don't even consider it.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They suck & have no decent customer service!

This company sucks! Customer service doesn't exist and hours trying to reach someone is a serious problem, esp if changes need to be made to an appointment that they scheduled without concern for the customer convenience. They initially screwed up and charged me for a quarterly treatment one month after signing up and refused to refund the charge...took 3 weeks to reach a person to correct the problem! I had to have my bank refuse any further charges and had the card removed from my contract information with the company, only agreeing to billing and bill pay authorized by me to my bank. At one point they accused me of trying to cancel so they could charge me $250! Had to get that resolved too! Now they have arbitrarily scheduled an appointment with little notice for me to advise them that it would not work...again can't get through to a real person by phone, email or text! One rep couldn't even reach the office themselves! My HOA had o threaten legal action for them canvassing in a posted "no solicitation" neighborhood repeatedly. More to come I am sure! I will ride it out but never renew and warn everyone I know. I have asked a rep to add "no automatic renewal" to my account. God knows if that will happen without another fight!

Very unfair and predatory

Be very careful with these people. One of their sales reps came at our door and told us we can try their service and cancel it at anytime. The catch is that he never said that once you sign up with them there will be a $250 cancellation fee and we never bothered to read the fine print. We decided to cancel their service once we realized that it wasn't worth it and that to have them use their service for mosquitos it would be an extra $85 a month. As you can imagine they said fine but there is a $250 fee for cancelling their crap service. Very unfair and predatory people. Stay away from them and read the fine print before you ever sign a contract with them.

Ridiculous fees

It is quite perplexing how a company can impose a fee to discontinue a service, particularly when relocation for a job necessitates it. The suggestion from the representative to transfer the contract to the home purchasers seems rather impractical, doesn't it?

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. A complete scam! I wonder how a business in this scale fails to deliver a good job. Many visits by this company at our house. Yet, the problem is not solved. We see spiders, bugs and different types of insects everywhere in the house. We naturally called to cancel the service but they charged us with cancellation fee. It doesn't matter if we have a contract, but when you have failed to deliver the results we intended to have by using your company, you must be so professional to not charge the customer upon cancellation. Not moral at all! If you don't want to waste your money as a customer, try to find another RELIABLE company for the job.
