DO NOT SET UP AN ACCOUNT with this company - infact AVOID

DO NOT SET UP AN ACCOUNT with this company, infact use a different flight school (there are others at Teesside)
Despite many attempts to talk to Mark about a refund, we have heard nothing. We are now taking legal action to get our money back.
Our son was awarded some flying scholarships (including one from the Air League and Air Cadets) and he set up an account adding some of his own money. We hoped he would be able to proceed to getting his flying license but bad weather and lack of availability of pilots at weekends means he has had only 10 lessons over an approx. 12 month period with more than double that cancelled. He was unable to take lessons after a certain point and we spoke to Mark at the time of this at latter lessons that he would have to have a refund. Mark then stopped replying to phone calls, messages, emails, letters, and we have been patient as we know he has other commitments but enough is enough.
As well as progressing legal action we are leaving reviews and we are complaining to the Air League, Teesside Airport so that others are aware of the poor customer service and do not have a bad experience.
This was going to be such a great experience and the flying lessons were great but definitely avoid this company.
Mark – you have our contact details, including bank details please refund our son’s money.

SHOCKING COMPANY

SHOCKING COMPANY - HAVE YOU GONE BUST???? BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT FOR AROUND 3 WEEKS NOW!!!! NO EMAIL REPLIES FROM AROUND 6/7, NO RETURN CALLS FROM AROUND 20, OVER 6 VOICEMAILS NOW LEFT - WANT REFUND - SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

DON’T TRUST THIS PILOT

‼️Long post…. But Please be aware of
EDEN FLIGHT TRAINING ‼️
Last Christmas, Graeme bought our Grandson Sean a voucher to fly a 2 seater plane with the above company at Teesside Airport. I have rang the office many times, left loads of voicemail’s, sent emails, Whatsapp messages (as they request) & completed a form on their website, trying to book Sean’s flight. All to no avail. So on Thursday, Graeme & I went to their office, in the departure lounge at the airport, spent a good 10mins knocking on the office door, but no reply. I then went to the information desk in departures to ask if they knew anything about it. I was told he thought he had seen an admin lady there a couple of Saturday’s ago, but couldn’t be sure. I then checked their FB page & it seems we weren’t the only one’s who’d not been able to get in touch with them.
I posted my story on their page, it was removed!! Posted again, it was removed & I have now been blocked‼️🤬. I have since checked Trip Advisor & Trust Pilot, & they are full of similar experiences. So please, DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH ON THIS EVIL COMPANY.
We are going to have one very upset Grandson when we tell him he can’t now fly a plane. I also have reason to believe, one of the best reviews on Trust Pilot, is from the owner himself‼️

An absolutely disgraceful company. Do not use.

Edenflight traing are an absolutely disgraceful company and i wonder how they are still in business. Their booking process is a shambles and their customer service is non-existant.
My son and daughter bought me a gift voucher from Into the blue for a two seater landaway lesson with Edenflight training last year.
In November 23 i activated the voucher and tried ringing EFT but never got an answer. I eventually sent an e-mail with the voucher details advising that i was looking to book for May/June 24 and the response i got via e-mail was this was too far ahead to book and to make contact in April 24.
I tried ringing on the 16th April 24 but got no response so i sent an e-mail requesting a booking for end of May/June 24 and i received a response stating the first available date was 23rd June at 3.00pm to which i immediately confirmed by e-mail and penned the date into my diary.
3 days later (19th April 24 ) i received the following e-mail from EFT.
"Sorry the 3.00pm slot has been taken but i do have 9.00pm that day that i will keep until i hear back from you as the dates and times are first come or reply back to me as you have already lost the 3.00pm one."

I was absolutely disgusted at the contents of this e-mail and find the wording ill-mannered and extremely rude to say the least. How come i accepted the slot and then lost it 3 days later beggars belief.
I replied immediately stating the 9.00pm slot was unacceptable and requested other available slots taking into account my voucher expires 31st July 24
On the 23rd April 24 i sent a further e-mail stating my concern that i had not received a response to my previous e-mail nor had i been contacted with available slots
As still no response was forthcoming I tried ringing EFT on the 25th April 24 and left a voice message for Mark whose pre-recorded answer message stated leave a message and i will get back to you. Did he get back, did he hell as like
Having received no response to my phone call of the 25th April 24 or my e-mail of the 24th April 24 i sent a further e-mail on the 26th April 24 together with all my previous e-mails stating that their booking process and customer service was absolutely appalling and that i was at my wits end and requested can someone please have the decency to contact me in order to resolve the issue.
Once again no response
In a last ditch attempt to get a booking i sent a further e-mail to EFT on the 29th April 24 as follows

To whoever is in charge
The below e-mails should make your company ashamed of your booking process and customer service.
I will not go away until this matter is successfully resolved
Please have the courtesy to contact me accordingly.
Please note i will take this matter further should the need arise.

Did i get a response, not on your life
On the 30th April 24 i made my son and daughter aware of the issue and my daughter who had bought the voucher was straight on the case and made contact with Into the Blue who were appalled at my treatment from EFT.
Into the Blue made contact with EFT and despite promises and re-assurances from EFT that they would contact me to sort a date they never did. Eventually Into the Blue made the decision to cancel the voucher for EFT and have issued a new increased value voucher for another flight school and also extended the date.
Into the Blue have handled this matter extremely well and are to be commended
Edenflight Traing should be condemmed to the rubbish bin
This is not a vindictive review it is the absolute truth which EFT are well aware of as they are instigators of their own failings
If i could have given 0 stars its no more than what EFT deserve.
The date on the review is the date i eventually give up with them and took the matter up with Into the Blue.

Highly Recommended - Flight Experience

Booked a flight experience for our 15yr old AVGEEK sons birthday and the whole experience from start to finish was First Class, from the friendly and warm welcome from “Marc”, the interaction, the knowledge and rapport between the two of them was incredibly wholesome to see, and of course seeing them taking off and the smiles all round when they headed back to the office was priceless. If you want a Flight Experience then “Eden Flight Training” is definitely the way to go. and a final BIG shoutout again to Marc for making Alfie’s day

1st flying lesson for my 15 year old daughter

Fabulous weekend Katie had her 1st flying lesson today with Eden Flight Training and they were absolutely amazing and let me tag along.. Katie literally flew the plane the whole time and I am totally impressed she was confident and just brilliant following and understanding instructions. Thankyou to Eden PilotMarc for being brilliant and allowing her to fly🛩🛩🛩🛩✈️✈️✈️✈️

Eden Flight Training STAY CLEAR OF THIS…

Eden Flight Training STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY FOR THE RECREATIONAL FLIGHT EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES….. IF ITS NOT CANCELLING DUE TO WEATHER WHICH I ABSOLUTELY AGREE IS PARAMOUNT ON SAFETY!! THEY CANCEL DUE TO PILOT SICKNESS OR SOME OTHER COP OUT OF AN EXCUSE……. We purchased flight experience for my son Freddie well over a year ago and today yet again after countless rebooks it’s taken my self to call them to once again find out his flight has been cancelled, the typical British weather scenario of apparently low visibility of 1500meter, last time it was pilot sickeness the time be for that it was maintenance and so on. Then it comes down to the rebooking, you then are required to wait months, years to get booked back in due to pilot availability and the excessive amount of cancellations they are working through. This was paid for with my son’s birthday money and he has yet to have seen it. The customer service is horrendous I’ve never spoke to a bunch of patronising, rude and contradicting people in all my life with zero sympathy.
DO NOT HAND YOUR MONEY OVER TO THIS COMPANY THEY CANNONT ACCOMMODATE VOLUME OF SALES TO FLIGHTS. I requested a refund and was told no due to weather it’s not within there refund policy, I told them I would be taking this further with trading standards to which the charming gentleman pilot told me good luck with that!!
At this point I said I would turn to social media for them to laugh at me further…. PLEASE SHARE THIS, I do not want any other child or adult to be let down or as disappointed as my boy is right now. Once again I am in agreement with cancelling for weather I do not want anyone’s life at risk. This company has absolutely zero compassion or empathy towards customers, from my experience they are taking bookings and money and it is quite obvious they cannot provide the service they are selling regardless of the weather situation.

SANTA DID NOT ARRIVE WITH EDEN FLIGHT TRAININGGift Voucher E-443* 60 minute Flight…

Gift Voucher E-443* 60 minute Flight Experience 2 Seater Piper Tomahawk Aircraft.
For My son.
Lynn who was supposed to be dealing with this.
Bought as a Christmas Present for my son - yes after last postal date 20/12/2023
However, I was promised 1st class delivery - I know due to the festive holidays - the post may be affected / I was prepared to wait.
I was sent an - E voucher / but advised that this would not be accepted - and only the glossy voucher would be "Ticket to Fly".
I have emailed Lynn a couple of times - spoke to her on 02/01/2024 - regarding not receiving this voucher / she advised to wait another week – to which I have done.
Called on 08/01/2024 –Calls go into double figures – no one answer’s the phone / the phone gets cut off / and the same for 09/01/2024 – I keep getting cut off – I must be in to 20 calls now – Just pick the phone up - this is very very Very bad customer Service!
So my son has not received his Christmas Present as yet!

Awful customer service

Please check here before giving this company any of your money!

Wanted to get my daughter a flying experience for Christmas. Checked with Mark that we would definitely be able to book in over the xmas period (I explained we were visiting the area and so could only book on specific dates) he assured me this was fine, communication was brilliant until the point when I purchased the voucher and then stone wall silence from Mark (still to this day) in the end I called the office from a different phone number as mine wasn't being answered to be told they don't take bookings over the holidays and there was no way we could fly while we were in the area. I requestesed a refund which over the phone they were hesitant to agree to, however on their website it states you are entitiled to a refund up to 28 days after purchase. I was well within the time frame.

Found another school at the same airport (Aero School) who took my daughter out for a fabulous experience while we were there.

I hand delivered the voucher back to Eden on 2nd January (apparently they must have these hand written vouchers in order to process the refund and there's no way they could just cross it off their books).

It's now 10th January. I've emailed them twice to ask where my money is with no response, finally got through this morning on the phone to be told they'd do it today. Recieved an email to say it'll be with me in 5-10 days. I'll believe it when I see it. I wish I'd read all of the reviews before I gave them any money, it would seem I'm far from the only one to have issues with them.

Flight good, everything else terrible.

The flight was great, but it took many attempts of rebooking to finally make it happen, availability is very poor (Initially was booked for January, cancelled due to weather which is fair enough but the next available slot was June!).

Rating 1 star due to the lack of customer service, emails often go unanswered and I purchased a voucher which was meant to come with a few items and I haven't received any of them. I have emailed in multiple times (months apart) to enquire and they weren't interested in any of my emails asking for assistance.

For that reason I would recommend looking at other flight schools in the area.

Can’t recommend buying vouchers

A warning to anyone considering buying vouchers! I have been on 5 flights with Eden and was considering a PPL. The first flight I had was great but things have changed. The last flight I had was far from a good experience, they are extremely busy and once they have your money they don’t care! I tried to book a flight with a voucher but the receptionist refused to book the flight even though the voucher had not expired (a similar experience as many seem to have from reading other reviews). The receptionist said the voucher could not be honoured due to the fact a flight could not be booked before the voucher expired. It was over a month before they could book me a flight taking the first available time and date due to a back log of flights. The receptionist even admitted there were loads of people whose vouchers had ran out before they were able to book a flight.

Nowhere in the terms and conditions or documentation did it state that vouchers were no longer valid if they were too busy to book a flight. If you were unable to take the first flight they offer you then it would be probably 2 months before you could get a booking. Vouchers should not be invalid based on how busy they are. The terms and conditions clearly stated vouchers are valid for 12 months, however if a flight can’t be booked for over a month taking the first available time and date for a flight then vouchers are not valid for 12 months and are only valid for less than 11 months using the best case scenario of the booking schedule.

The problem is further compounded by the fact flight students are prioritised. They stated that as I was only a voucher holder I could only be offered a flight on a weekend as weekday flights were reserved for students only. Again nowhere in the T&C or documentation did it state that as a voucher holder I was only eligible for weekend flights. Students also get access to the online booking system which voucher holders do not, so you must rely on email or phone to make a booking and as others have mentioned they seldom reply to emails.

When I finally was able to contact them by phone, the receptionist became very angry, shouting down the phone when I explained the situation in an attempt find an amicable solution. I was told to contact Mark via e-mail. I sent an e-mail and got no reply.

On the day of my 5th flight I was waiting over an hour not including the 30 min early arrival time. I went to reception to ask why there was a delay and no one was there so I had to walk through the building to find someone and was told the pilot was busy and I would have to wait until he arrived from another flight with no ETA given and no apology.
