Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 63 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the website and app to be poorly designed, with issues like being confusing, slow, buggy, and unintuitive, making it difficult to navigate and learn effectively. Customers consistently reported that the product itself, particularly the lessons and tutorials, was ineffective for learning, often consisting of bland slideshows with insufficient explanations and sometimes inaccurate or outdated information. The quality of the educational content was frequently criticized, with many feeling they learned nothing from the platform, and some even resorted to cheating due to the difficulty and tediousness of the assignments. However, some customers also noted that the self-paced nature of the activities was a positive aspect, allowing them to control their learning speed. A few other people also felt that the platform helped them review existing knowledge and learn new things, and appreciated a built-in page for career searches.

This "learning" program actually exists?

I can't believe something like this exists. This "learning" program is apparently based off your MAP scores. But honestly, it really doesn't feel like it is. Considering the fact that the questions on the practice it is either too hard or too easy. Speaking about practice, if you get something wrong it just shows you the answer with little to no explanation or says you're incorrect. And the progress checks? They basically don't have to with the things you've just learned and instead of forcing the student to use the skills they don't have knowledge on yet; it just makes them restart the entire course over and over again until the student either A) gives up or B) actually passes the progress check out of PURE luck. Another thing, the robotic voices used for characters such as Darcy is just so emotionless and sometimes you can hear the quality of it drop when they are having a "conversation" with someone else. Overall, the whole quality of this app sucks. You don't learn anything and just feels like you're losing your braincells with the stupid robotic voices.

Not Mother approved! Horrible

So as a mother I can tell you this is a horrible online curriculum. Really horrible doesn’t even touch it. First year Spanish they expect you to know how to read fluently enough to fill in the blanks!? How?! This is not even possible for first year high school! Also all the practice questions are not even on the the mastery or the final test. On the mastery test it doesn’t tell you what questions you got wrong to help you know what to work on. At the least if it gave the correct answers you could maybe know what to Go back to the intro to help reread to get the right answers and then stop doubting the right ones. No child will proper learn using this! They need to fix it. Also in English it talks about summary, theme, and such of Shakespeare but doesn’t ask any of those question in the mastery. It wasn’t the meaning of the lines. It wants nothing of what was in the introduction. I see a lot of children putting their reviews but as a mother it’s awful and my child hates it!!

Don't use Edmentum, ever.

This 'learning' program is absolutely horrible and you SHOULD NOT use it. I, a middle schooler, have had to use Edmentum every day since the beginning of January. That might not sound like very long, but my god even in that time it's been unbearable.
I have learned literally NOTHING from it, and I hate it for a multitude of reasons. The lessons aren't worded properly, and there have been quite a few grammatical errors. It's the most boring program I've ever used; even Iready was better than this. And they're trying to teach me 4th or 5th-grader topics! I'm in honors math and ELA (Not meant to be bragging), why am I still being taught this stuff I learned years ago?! But I can't even do the super simple lessons or progress checks because of how poorly structured they are. The machine voices are crazy monotonous, the site is just colorless and joyless, and it is overall terrible.

Helped my Mental Health

I was so sad and anxious before using edmentum. I would cry in front of the TV because I didn't have any brain cells. But then, my school started using edmentum and it made me sooooo smart! I was so smart, I won jeperdy. Edmentum has helped my self esteem, becuase whenever I get a 60% on my mastery, I get so happy that I get to do the exact same lesson, AGAIN! Edmentum is an incredible website, I'm literally smart enough to work for nasa and be richer than Jeff Bezos.

I DO NOT advise use of this site. Schools need to stop using it.

I've read some of the reviews and I agree with a lot of them. Coming from somebody who is actually forced to use this, I strongly hate it. Its boring and I don't actually learn anything from it. When i had to do the math portion it never explained what I got wrong or how to improve it and I just absolutely hate the reading section its either this or that when neither are actually correct. The other problem is having to repeat the same course OVER AND OVER until you get it right when its not even teaching you how to fix your mistakes. This site is not fun its just that straight forward(not even correct) bullcrap. I am somebody who needs it to be fun to even learn and I can't just watch videos and read all day to absorb anything and the activties are not useful at all.

Is sucks horribly

It sucks. It expects you to know Spanish before hand and plus, it tells you so many words and things in Spanish you can't keep up. Not only that, but they leave out so many important things that you need to know about a foreign language.
If I could curse on my phone I would, but my parents are tracking it. EDMENTUM suck bulls*** I know some people have it 5 star but we don't care about the autistic people who wrote those, all we care about is to actually learn about something even though we students don't want to. Even when students like me don't want to learn regularly we would actually want to get something out of Edmentum that we could use in real life. don't care if most of us are going to be ending up as a McDonald's workers and be too poor to f***ing travel to any Latin American country we would still like a legit lesson to learn from. F*** Edmentum.

Eternal pain and sadness

Yikes, it isn't good. it says I'd never turn on the TV during a storm. And now apparently 1 + 1 = 3. Edmentum sucks. As another person said, "It's either too easy or too hard, it's never in the middle, though." I would rather be doing I-ready than this. At least I-ready is fun and the voices have emotion while in edmentum it's just nightmarish voices with no happiness whatsoever. Fix this, please. :(

Edmentum is awful

I've always hated Edmentum. The courses are awful, it doesn't help with my math grade, and it just sucks overall. IT IS BROKEN!! When I was doing the exact path, I got a question where I had to type and the answer and when I typed in the right answer it marked it as wrong. All you do is make kids stressed out and feel worthless. I wish schools would stop using this as an excuse for learning.

Great job! NOT.

I give this a 5 star review for being the most BORING app I’ve ever seen! We are FORCED to do this at school, and trust me, in the 3 years I’ve been doing this, I haven’t learned anything. Thanks for helping with my insomnia, though.

How does this help?

They don't even mark you on the progress check. They don't even teach you. they either mark it wrong or give you the answer. When I get something right on the review I don't actually know what I got right and wrong. Please fix this edmentum.

Lesson’s are boring and

The lessons are boring. We use edmentum in our class and we all agree. There are 2 main reasons for this. 1 is there is a lot of unnecessary information. I’m not fond of it teaching you 1-4 different methods of the topic. I would leave each method in a different lesson, that way the practice doesn’t need to be super long and take half math/reading edmentum class time. Another way 1 applies has to do more with the lesson. You want to make sure the students get it, as the lessons aren’t there for nothing. On rare occasions it will have a lot of extra information, but usually too little if there’s any problem with it. Don’t get me wrong, at least 60% of lessons don’t have the problem I’m about to share. This isn’t the most important reason why this website only gets a 2/5. It’s because of the tmi in the lesson slides. Edmentum usually shares a “story” where one of around 5 characters need help with math or reading using kinda lame excuses. If your gonna use a story, either use it a little more or not at all. For example:
Klara: “Sten, I need help with my studying again qwq”
Sten: “I’ll help, Klara! What are you studying ;3”
Klara: “I don’t get figurative language help meee 7w7”
Sten: “Hmmm yeah that idiom an idiom is dis uwu”
Klara: “Tysm Sten now I know idioms TvT”
Yeah. They don’t explain it much, as you can see. The only reason it isn’t 1/5 is because the learning system is ok. Problem number 2 is a small reason I’m not going to discuss much: 15% of progress checks are unrelated to the topic. Idk why, but I learn about long division and it gives me decimals. At the time I was in 4th grade so I didn’t know how to do the decimals even though I was fine with king division and failed the progress check, so I had to do it again only to fail the check again and move on to something else. The lesson and practice didn’t talk about how to divide with the decimals and fractions, so I had no idea what I was doing… :(
Overall 2.4/10
