False expectations

Absolutely terrible experience thus far. Move-in dates were constantly pushed back with false promises, and we were pressured to pay for extras immediately “to avoid delays”. Even after paying, no progress was made.

We’ve been living in a hotel for almost 4 months and now face another 6 weeks, including Christmas. I understand this isn’t the companies problem but setting false expectations is cruel and seemed to be done to entrap us to proceed with the purchase. A little compassion would have been nice.

Communication is impossible, after multiple emails to the company hoping to speak to someone other than our sales associate. There was no response.

For anyone considering Edwards Homes, make sure any promises or expectations are provided in writing. Otherwise, be prepared for “miscommunications” or claims that things were “never said”.

The company has weak building standards…

The company has weak building standards and doesn't pay much attention when customers report issues with their homes. They market their houses as perfect places to live, but buyers often end up doing a lot of repairs themselves because there are many problems. The homes are quite pricey, yet the quality doesn’t match what you’d expect from a brand new house. Many homeowners still have to reach out to the National House Building Council (NHBC) for help with these issues.

Beware!

Pride themselves on being better than the large housebuilders such as Redrow but if Edwards Homes are building close to your house, BEWARE. Their attitude is that it's their land and they can do what they want with it. Like legalised vandalism, they will cut down trees and hedgerows to gain that extra inch. Wildlife is the last thing on these charlatans' minds

Edwards homes are the best

Edwards homes are the best, building is beautiful to behold, their houses are very neat. The sales representatives (Trish and Hayley) are superb, very supportive and friendly. Edwards home responds quickly to complaint. All their houses are attractive and they use modern facilities installed in the house, making life easy.

Poor Service

Unfortunately the move into my new house has been tarnished with issues, faulty appliances, leaking toilets, the list goes on.

The sales team are great and try to help as much as they can but the after sales support and remediation of issues is appalling.

The finish to property is sub standard and not what you would expect from a new build property. And the items in the show homes are different from what is actually installed into the property.

If you are looking for a new build property I would recommend viewing other developers before making your choice

Avoid Purchasing Your Home from…

Avoid Purchasing Your Home from Edwards.

Despite their enticing promises and a delightful sales team, the reality of the product they provide falls significantly short of the enchanting picture they paint. Doorways and brickwork fail to meet specifications, windowsills are uneven, both interior and exterior finishes are unsatisfactory, and concerning materials are utilised in garden areas. When it comes to after-sales service, their focus is solely on cosmetic enhancements and cleaning, showing little concern for addressing essential problems within the house. Numerous homeowners have abandoned the tedious process of requesting repairs and assistance, resorting to rectifying problems at their own expense.
