Daughter thought that they were really immersed in the culture and she got to really experience the country away from the tourist traps.

The ef tour guide should have been more prepared for delays and how to handle them, and should have known it was winter not summer like she told the whole group. The time spent in Costa rica was amazing, the excursions were all great ( the ones they got to attend) the ones they missed I guess we will never know now. Safety 5 stars, adventures 5 stars, but the group leader I can honestly only give 3. When an 18 year old goes by them self with out a parent they are an adult and should be treated as such. I felt my daughter was being treated like a younger teen. Adults should be able to do as they please, with out being judged by the group leader. Also, it's an educational tour, keep religious views out of it, but it became a regular event and that made us uncomfortable. We don't do Bible study and it made my daughter feel left out a lot. If I would have known that before hand I would have went with her.
Excursions and guide were above and beyond awesome! Highly recommend

Our Tour Guide, Olman, deserves a RAISE! He really immersed our Costa Rica experience with the "Pura Vida" culture that was absolutely amazing! What made it more phenomenal was that Olman was inclusive to my son. I shared with our group that my son has Autism, and he was given the compassion and patience needed with each activity. My son was able to participate in zip line, white water rafting, kayaking and hiking. He wasn't able to do snokeling, due to sensory overload- however, the fact that he was given the opportunity to be included and on his terms, made all the difference. Our EF Tour was worth every single penny!
This was an amazing, life-changing experience for my daughter! She said she'll never forget the culture, adventure, and opportunity to grow that she had in Costa Rica!
We recently returned from the Adventure in Costa Rica tour after traveling with a group of 15. We had an amazing and memorable experience, and loved every part of it. I'd recommend that you always do some of your own research and prep for the country (the generic EF pack list wouldn't have been good enough for what we needed) and you'll definitely be ready for the adventure. We had so much fun and would 100% do it again if the opportunity ever came it. We especially LOVED our amazing tour director, and the kindness of all the Costa Ricans we met along the trip.

The tour guide and bus driver were incredible but the food selection left a lot to be desired. We had pasta for 5 days in a row. A better food selection would have been great. On The 2 hour nature trail walk we were not made aware of how steep the steps were
This trip opened my son's eyes to a way that other people lived. I will forever be grateful that I sent him to Costa Rica.
I love how everything was planned out so that everyday we had something to do. All staff and encounters with locals were awesome. I would definitely try and do something like this again.
There was something on the tour that everyone enjoyed. So much to see and do in so little time. My group would have liked another night at Sarapiqui and food varieties could be expanded to include more options. Minor dislikes from my crew, but enough to drop the experience from a 5 to a 4.
