Tours and guides were very interesting and knowledgeable.
A wonderful experience of a lifetime.
I led a small group of 9 on this tour and was very pleased with the itinerary, hotels, tour director, and flights. I was recommended this tour by a friend, who was a former teacher and now works at EF Tours. I am so glad I took his recommendation. There was a good balance between Cold War history, medieval history, and current life, in each of the cities we visited. Our tour director, Dara, was fabulous! She kept the trip running smooth and shared a lot of great ideas for the students to see and do in each city we explored. There is quite a bit of bus time on this itinerary, but it gets broken up with various stops, so it never felt too long. This trip is great to get a taste of what each of the cities has to offer.
It was super fun. I really enjoyed all of the countries that we went to and the fact that we went to smaller towns within the country where there were less tourists
The experience was great! The tour guide and bus driver made the whole trip fun. The tour guide was fantastic and I enjoyed talking to him and his random talks on the bus whenever it got too quiet.
An amazing time with great teachers, tour guide, and friends.
Amazing, amazing, amazing and awesome and jaw dropping and phenomenal… It was an amazing visual experience, and it was an amazing time living amongst the people for a bit and experiencing the Cuisine and the lifestyles and the history. Zophia is amazing and a phenomenal person and an educated and very talented individual. Her knowledge of everywhere we were and her willingness to not only share, but to think about the needs of us and anticipate some of our needs was remarkable. She did her job above and beyond in every possible way. She shared of her personal life experience and about her family and relations to the holocaust and with her foundation that she runs in her love for animals. She also was just a good decent human being and helping us and being willing to do whatever we needed. She made sure to accommodate us and to anticipate what we might need and was willing to take us anywhere we could go that would help us improve the overall experience of our trip. She was a 10 out of 10 in every way. And Adam, the bus driver was just as awesome, even though he was silent and deadly like an assassin…
The trip was a great opportunity to visit places that probably wouldn’t have gone. There were some issues with logistics. The meals offered for the first few days were all goulash. Our group returned to the US and had an 8 hour layover planned at an airport that is 2 hours drive from home. A bus was rented to return students. A refund should be offered for the flight.
I really enjoyed our well planned trip. Our flights were great and all our hotels were top notch. This trip offered many opportunities to experience a wide array of interests. We had a great balance between history and culture, art and museums, shopping and dining.
Terrible. Awful.
This trip was fantastic. Krakow in particular was fascinating. The mixture of things to do, free time, and history from the local guides was excellent. The tour director, Beate Nueman, did a great job creating a trip that was ideal for the students. The trip would be better if there were 3 nights in each city instead of two.
The planning was superb, and a variety of places were included. There was a good balance between free time and guided activities. Having a dedicated bus was great to leave your belongings even while checked out of a hotel. I know that will because while my kid was touring with EF, I was doing the same circuit independently, and even though I packed light, it was a chore to drag luggage along.
This particular tour was spectacular! I loved the way each countries history and growth of today flowed together, weaving a rich connection of cutures and interdependence. My group included the extension to Vienna, which was a terrific addition to this itinerary, as it shared many cultural and artistic ties with the other countries we visited. The only thing that everyone agreed upon for a suggested change to this itinerary would be an extended stay in Prague and Budapest. Prague has so many live classical music events that would be a wonderful addition to add as a reflection of the great musical attributes of this city. Budapest also has so many things to do and see that take a little extra time to experience, such as a night time Danube river cruise to see the spectacular city all lit up, the wonderful exploration of art and mini statues around the city, and of course, an extended stay at the Budapesst Baths would be much appreciated. (We all found that 2 hours there simply was not enough! 😊) Overall, this tour was an exceptional tour, filled with deep history, great beauty, overwhelming sadness (Auschwitz), rich in culture, art and music. I am so very grateful to have been able to be on this tour tour and share the experience with students, their families, and my own family. We all have deep and meaningful memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you. 💜
Great trip, but a couple of instances of poor planning/logistics.
A must tour. So much history going through beautiful cities. Would do this again and highly suggest to all.
Perfect for the kids in the future
trip was good. i saw all pictures. by this travel my son brought us Berlin piece of wall. I was very exciting about that because i read the story.
So it was fast paced and there was a lot of bus time, but the experience was amazing. I'm so happy to have been able to travel to this part of the world.
Great experience!
