One of the best EF tours I have been on out of five so far!
Fun adventure
It was a very organized and educational experience.
Amazing experience of culture and activities! Couldn’t have asked for more.
Our family recently returned from an incredible trip with EF Educational Tours! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, but there were a few logistical hurdles that EF could improve for future travelers. What We Loved: Outstanding Tour Director & Group Leaders: Our tour guide, Jhonny, was absolutely phenomenal—knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate. Our school teachers (Trish and Katie) were equally amazing and kept everything running smoothly. Memorable Activities: The itinerary was packed with incredible cultural and outdoor experiences that our family will treasure forever. Areas for Improvement: Flight & Booking Information: Flight confirmation details were shared very late. Because of the delay, we were unable to easily attach our SkyMiles and Known Traveler Numbers (KTNs). When we finally received the confirmation and called the airline to select seats so we could sit near our younger children, it required a lengthy phone call and significant effort to resolve. Last-Minute Rooming Changes: Room assignments were changed right at the last minute. Our son was initially told he would room with kids he knew, but was suddenly placed with strangers. Thankfully, the team was able to move him back after the first night, but it caused unnecessary stress upfront. Room Key Allocation: Not every student was provided a room key at check-in, which created minor confusion for the boys early on before they adapted. Conclusion: Despite the pre-departure flight headaches and initial rooming hiccups, the on-the-ground experience, local team, and itinerary made it a fantastic journey. With better advance communication around flight details and rooming, an EF tour would easily be a 5-star experience!
Our local guide was great and worked to give the students an excellent tour, but some of the hotels were terrible (cockroach in my bed and in other kids' rooms), and the fact that there was no bus driver to pick us up at the airport at 3:00am in the morning was ludacris. You cannot be responsible for 40 middle schoolers and then not provide them transportation. If I wasn't on this trip, but instead a parent at home, I would have been very worried for my child in a random city in the middle of the night and would have pulled him from all future EF tours.
I liked the high-height views.
Awesome trip! Jose is greatest tour guide! Definitely do rafting, chocolate tour, la fortuna waterfall and hot springs!

All of the activities were fun. This was a great experience. I would go again!
It was very fun lots of fun stuff to do with friends got to everybody was very nice and even if we had to wake up early it made the days feel twice as long
This tour had so much outdoor adventure, coupled with experiences like the coffee tour and chocolate tour. It was a blast, and we all shared in the adventure! Whitewater rafting was a favorite!
Great experience, flexibility and accommodation. Tour guide was excellent. Would have like a little more variety of the countries food.

It was the adventure of a lifetime! Well planned from start to finish! Stellar tour guide and highly skilled bus driver. Felt safe and cared for at all times. Great activities that combined fun and adventure with learning about the local culture. Fantastic trip!

The tour guy was fenomenal, he was supportive and made it fun for everyone. The places we vivisted very educational and inspiring, maybe I would add some more down time and try to spread some of the activities a little, specically the water day, it was a little too much in my opinion to do kayak, waterfall and hot springs in one day.
