Some of the places were wonderful but the food was some how poor quality as well as the hotel. Our driver and Tour Director were fine.

My son said that they need to provide more food. Everyone had to go to the grocery store to buy food. My son goes to Panama every year for vacation since he has family there. He’s always had enough food at the restaurants that they visit. He also goes to the resorts and they have buffets which provide enough food. This is the only thing that he said negative about the trip.
This is a great balance of old and new. There is so much history, science and technology in this trip. Perfectly paced and kept everyone engaged the whole time.
The trip was everything I expected and more.
Panama was a wonderful and educational experience for my daughter. She loved the tour guide and was able to use her language skills.

The actual trip and travel guide were great, but I would caution anyone utilizing this company to provide your own travel insurance. Our bags were delayed by 2 days so we had to purchase clothing and essential items. The company still hasn't even begun processing the claim form for myself and my son and it's been 3 weeks!!!
I was a parent traveler in Panama with my son age 15 on our first EF tour for spring break. We have been lucky enough to travel some internationally, and I had always planned the itinerary. I did not know what to expect, but the EF itinerary seemed comparable to those of private tour companies. This is just one person's experience but not only was I beyond pleasantly surprised, I was BLOWN AWAY. Not only was the itinerary amazing, our guide Joshua Hall (Josue Renhifo) changed the plans day-to-day to allow us to see things we never would have seen before. Rooftop party at Tantalo? Sampling exotic cuisine in the barrio? Watching the Good Friday procession Friday night in Casco Viejo? These weren't even on the original itinerary! In addition to highlights like dancing with the locals in El Valle, and dressing up and eating with the Embera (indigenous people) We all cried with him at our end of week goodbye. I never realized how much BETTER an international trip could be with an EF guide like Joshua, and I have traveled the world. I know we got lucky with him and this experience, but I cannot give it high enough praise.
