A Journey That Exceeded Every Expectation As a teacher, I’ve always believed that the best learning happens when students can experience history and culture firsthand. This EF Tour through France, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria exceeded every expectation I had. Our Tour Director, Vlad, was the heart of the trip. He wasn’t just knowledgeable—he made every destination come alive with stories, humor, and genuine passion. He kept our group organized, prepared us for each day’s adventures, and somehow made traveling across four countries feel effortless. The itinerary was outstanding. Walking through the Louvre, touring Versailles, climbing to Sacré-Cœur, and watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle from a Seine River cruise made Paris unforgettable. Switzerland completely stole my heart—from the breathtaking ride to the top of Mount Pilatus and the world’s steepest cogwheel railway down, to our cruise across Lake Lucerne and an evening filled with Swiss folklore, music, games, and yodeling. In Germany, visiting the Dachau Memorial was an incredibly moving experience, while Munich offered the perfect mix of history, culture, and fun. We even reunited with one of our former exchange students, making the day even more meaningful. Austria wrapped up our journey beautifully with Salzburg’s charming Old Town and the grandeur of Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna. One thing that really impressed me was how smoothly everything ran. Hotels were comfortable, transportation was well coordinated, local guides were excellent, and there was a great balance between structured activities and free time to explore on our own. Whether students wanted to shop, try local foods, ride bikes, or simply wander through beautiful city streets, there was something for everyone. The greatest part of the experience, though, was watching my students grow. They became more independent, stepped outside their comfort zones, embraced different cultures, and created friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Seeing their excitement each day reminded me why educational travel is so valuable. This was my first EF Tour, and it certainly won’t be my last. If you’re considering traveling with EF—whether you’re a student, parent, or educator—I can’t recommend it highly enough. It was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end, and I came home already thinking about where our next adventure should be.

Love being able to learn so much about the history and culture of these places. Switzerland was my absolute favorite.
Our trip was amazing. It was also exhausting, somehow even more than all other trips we've taken! Expect to go-go-go early morning until late night every day with little down time. But we had a blast, our tour director was great with our group, and our students learned so much. Also, who gets to mark Liechtenstein off their list?!
EF Tours was amazing at helping us through the process of sending our teen to Europe which helped us feel super comfortable with her traveling so far away. If I could give 10 stars? I would! Thank you for giving our daughter a trip of a lifetime!

We loved all the things we got to do on this trip. Our guide took us swimming in Switzerland, we toured a perfumery in France, made a quick stop in Liechtenstein, and helped us sign up for a bike tour in Germany. On the itinerary, we visited the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, went to the top of the Alps, visited Dachau Concentration Camp...just to name a few things. It was an incredible trip and my only regret was not adding the excursion days to our trip. HIGHLY recommended!

Perfect first experience in Europe! My husband and I were in Switzerland so met the tour twice. The tour leaders and teachers were organized and prioritized the kids’ safety. Highly recommend!
