I was so happy to be able to join my daughter on her trip to Ireland and London and our guide, Neil, was AMAZING!! The whole experience was amazing. The only thing that was extremely disappointing to me was that I had to pay an extra $600 to be able to room with my daughter on the trip. After paying $10,000 for my daughter and I to go on this trip, I figured it was a given that I would be sharing a room with my daughter throughout the trip and when I discovered that wasn’t the case and called to inquire, I was told they could arrange that for me for an additional $600. Apparently, adults room with adults and kids room with kids and any arrangements outside of that is considered an “upgrade” even though the rooms my daughter and I stayed in were no different than the other adults and kids rooms.

Great places. 2 issues. Way too much time spent in transportation (buses and ferry) and the student had to share beds most of the time. This didn't happen in my last tour.

This tour was jam packed with places and sites to see! Ireland was beautiful and the castles were a favorite of many travelers. While in London, we accidentally got to see the King's Guard practicing for Trooping the Colour for the King's birthday! That was amazing and an added bonus! Highly recommend this tour!

Activities and locations were great but the hotels ( except for the first one in Ireland) were sub par. The last hotel in London was horrible! It was as though each time we changed hotels they went down a notch from 5 star to one!

The first hotel Medowland did not have hot breakfast options - do not recommend this hotel. The rooms were ok, beds lumpy & pillows very lumpy (not sure how they were so lumpy). Also please let Americans know to bring wash cloths or lufahs with them. They didn't know what it was. The dinners were all stews with brownies & ice cream for desert. The first two days of stew were just ok but it got really old after that. also I stopped eating after a few days becuase they were so repetitive. Ireland itself was beautiful - but we were in the bus most of the time - not quite what I imagined.

The guides and the itinerary were awesome. Everything my son experienced that was planned went well. I will say it seems the locals weren't as friendly since my son told me of a few occasions where locals called them names, threw things at them, or scammed them out of money.

Adam the tour guide was fantastic!!!! He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the areas we were visiting. He was always willing to answer any questions we had and made sure things ran smoothly. When there was an issue with our last hotel giving room keys to other people and those people going into the rooms of some of the people on our tour, he was a strong advocate for us and got the issue resolved quickly. I could tell he enjoyed his job and enjoyed making sure we all had a good time. 2. Food- The food was not what I expected- EF tours says we will experience food from the area we visited but that was not true. The UK is famous for fish and chips and they were not served once during our trip. We received a lot of potatoes and by the end of the trip I was sick of them. There was also a lot of ham which I am not a fan of. I would recommend more variety on the menu served. 3. I felt like the days were really long at times and we didn't have a lot of time to wind down in the evening before needing to get back up and be ready for the bus at 6:30 or 7:00 am. We also spent a lot of time on the bus instead of seeing sites 4. London- it was disappointing that when we went to London instead of getting off the bus to see Big Ben, The House of Parliament and Piccadilly Circus we just drove by. I was really looking forward to seeing these things but only quickly passed by them on the bus. 5. Castles- I think there are too many castle tours on this trip. I loved the castles that actually had things or rooms to see but seeing castle ruins is something that I would prefer to just drive by and see. I loved the Bunratty castle, Warwick Castle and visiting Windsor Castle, the other castle tours were not that exciting. I would have loved to go into Buckingham palace on this trip as well. 6. I loved Wales and wish we could have spent more time there or spent the night there. 7. I loved the Rink of Kerry and the Kerry Bog Village Museum- I liked seeing how people used to live and learning about Peat and how it was used 8. One of my all-time favorite activities on this trip was the sheep-dog demonstration. The people there were extremely friendly and it was fascinating to see how the dog was able to get the sheep to go where she wanted them to go. The scenery in the area was beautiful. 9. I loved visiting Anne Hathaway's cottage and gardens, the gardens were beautiful and seeing all the things in the cottage was really nice. 10. Our tour guide to Windsor spent a little too much time talking so we missed the changing of the guards which is something I really wanted to see. By the time we got to the area where the guards change, they had already finished 11. The ferry ride from Ireland to Holyhead was very nice and comfortable and I enjoyed that as well. 12. I also enjoyed the Irish music and dance. The instructor made that event fun but I didn't like the meal that was served afterwards.
