My daughter absolutely loved the Tower of London, the Eiffel Tower and the cooking class in Barcelona.

Great trip we enjoyed it a lot. A few hiccups along the way but nothing that made the experience bad.

I love this trip! The best part was seeing my students enjoying and learning about the countries we visited.

Our tour director, Allen, was amazing. The locations were fantastic and we had a great time. The only complaint were the hotels in Paris and London. They were way away from the city center and dated. The one in Paris was small and hot too. Overall a great time though.

My son had a great time, but... It seems to me that the trip could have been better if it had been mapped out more logically. Why not begin and end close to an international airport rather than have travelers travel for 26 hours straight. That was poorly done in my opinion.

The trip was eventful and packed full of things to see and do. My students enjoyed the trip so much.

Despite placing a “Do Not Disturb” sign on my hotel room door, housekeeping entered my room while I was away. I know they entered because my bathroom trash had been emptied and clean towels had been left in the room. I never gave permission for housekeeping to enter my room, and it left me concerned because I have no way of knowing whether anything was disturbed or removed. Throughout the trip, our group was frequently delayed because another traveling group consistently returned late to meeting locations. As a result, we often had to rush through meals, skip dessert, and shorten our sightseeing experiences in order to stay on schedule. This became frustrating because our group was consistently affected by the lack of punctuality from another group. Rome Hotel Issues Our final hotel also had several maintenance concerns. My roommate discovered loose staples underneath the blankets at the foot of her bed after sleeping on them overnight. The air conditioning did not function properly. The refrigerator smelled strongly of bleach and did not work. The bathroom had a strong odor of urine. Student Supervision Concerns During dinner on our final evening in Rome, I became concerned about a student who appeared to have special needs and did not seem to have an adult directly supervising him. He began taking a large number of unidentified pills, prompting our tour leaders to contact Poison Control because neither he nor anyone else could identify what he had taken. Earlier in the trip, the same student displayed disruptive behavior during meals, including repeatedly slamming his fork into his food despite being asked to stop. Throughout the two-week tour, it also appeared that he had not maintained basic personal hygiene. My concern is not with the student himself, but rather whether appropriate supervision and support were available to ensure both his safety and the safety of those around him. Unexpected Additional Expenses One of my biggest disappointments involved the unexpected costs we incurred throughout the tour. Prior to departure, our Tour Director advised us to budget approximately $30–$50 per day for spending money. However, by the end of the trip I had exceeded my planned budget by approximately $1,650 because of numerous additional activities and expenses that were presented during the tour. While I understand that optional excursions and unforeseen circumstances can arise during travel, many of these activities did not feel optional. Instead, they were presented in a way that made families feel obligated to participate because otherwise the entire group would miss out. As a parent, I did not want to be the person responsible for preventing my child—or anyone else’s child—from participating in an activity. This created significant pressure to spend well beyond the budget we had been instructed to bring. For example, we paid additional money for the London Eye, which had not been part of our original expectations. We also paid for taxis to travel to the Eiffel Tower to watch the evening light show. Unfortunately, we arrived too late and completely missed the light show, making the additional transportation expense feel unnecessary and wasted. I believe families deserve a much clearer understanding before departure regarding what activities are included in the cost of the tour, which activities are truly optional, and a more realistic estimate of the amount of spending money they should budget. Overall, while there were certainly memorable moments and beautiful destinations, the number of preventable issues—including hotel conditions, transportation problems, scheduling delays, missed educational opportunities, unexpected expenses, and supervision concerns—left me disappointed in what was supposed to be an unforgettable educational experience for my child and me. I respectfully request that EF Tours review these concerns and let me know how they plan to address them. I also hope Eduardo receives the recognition he deserves for the outstanding job he did under extremely challenging circumstances. His professionalism, patience, and dedication were one of the brightest parts of our experience. Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I look forward to your response.

PROS: 1. We saw lots which made us want to return and see more on our own at another time. This being our first trip to Europe, we saw a lot. 2. Tour guides were great as were the chaperones from our home town. 3. Quality time with students. 4. Loved the free time when we got it. 5. Things were semi-planned for us. CONS: 1. Should have skipped time at London Eye and Piccadilly Circus to go do something else as students were bored. 2. Initial hotel in Barcelona at the Mediterranean Sea was TERRIBLE but view was beautiful. Student doors would not lock, dirty underwear under bed, no running water, food at hotel was terrible. SHAME on EF Tours for booking it! We did change hotels the following night but no view as before. Students would loved to have had time to experience the sea. 3. Had to skip meals several times because guide said we didn’t have time. Instead we grabbed snacks and ate on bus. 4. Seems like one the meals that was supposed to be included in overall tour cost was the “free” hotel breakfast. 5. Always had to rush on and off bus so the bus”didn’t get in trouble” and bus always dropped us off at quite a distance from the venue. 6. Return flight home was awful. EF Tour booked connection to close together and due to first flight being slightly delayed, we missed connection. Had to stay over night near airport. Air France then messed up the rebooking. Luggage lost for some but everyone ended up getting luggage within 5 days of arriving home. SO…Would I go back to Europe, YES MOST DEFINITELY. Would I go with EF Tours, no.

Sights and extra tour guides exceptional. One hotel should have not been utilized due to being to small. Bus choices were bad due to various problems or rules on many.

Not good planning

My son had the most amazing time on this trip! He wants to do another tour with EF Tours to a different destination in the future. EF Tours took care of everything, from flight to hotels, food and excursions. The wonderful staff made sure that the students were safe while traveling which helped put my mind at ease with my son being 5000+ miles away from home. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in enjoying the food, culture and people of Europe.
