Based on my recent experience with Educational First Tours (EF Tours), I have mixed feelings to share. Our tour director, Sergio was undoubtedly the highlight of the trip, demonstrating professionalism and a genuine passion for guiding us through our destinations. Their knowledge and enthusiasm greatly enhanced our understanding and enjoyment of each location. However, the itinerary itself left much to be desired. It lacked crucial details such as specific activities and timings, resulting in excessive downtime. This proved frustrating as we often found ourselves wandering aimlessly in unfamiliar cities, compounded by language barriers which made navigation and exploration challenging. Moreover, I believe EF Tours could significantly improve customer satisfaction by offering optional upgrades for key attractions. For instance, enhanced tours of landmarks like the Colosseum and Vatican, providing access to areas like the underground or additional time in places like the Sistine Chapel, would have greatly enriched our experience. Similarly, opportunities for upgraded experiences at iconic sites such as the Eiffel Tower or during river cruises in Paris were missed, leading to disappointment. Culinary experiences, another anticipated highlight, fell short of expectations. It felt as though the chosen restaurants prioritized cost-efficiency over quality, resulting in underwhelming meals that did not reflect the local cuisine's potential. This was particularly disappointing given our anticipation and excitement for authentic dining experiences in each city. On a positive note, the architectural marvels we encountered were undeniably breathtaking, albeit EF Tours' contribution to this aspect of our journey was minimal. Overall, while EF Tours offers a competent tour director and access to notable landmarks, the lack of detailed itineraries, missed upgrade opportunities, and subpar culinary experiences detracted significantly from the overall enjoyment. For the price paid, these shortcomings make it difficult to recommend EF Tours for future travel plans without significant improvements to their tour structure and offerings.

Transportation was provided in a timely way. The experience was amazing. Madrid should be a 3 day experience because Rome is hot as hell. Sergio was amazing. Please offer more info on meetings so we know we can bring wheel suitcase. Hotel in Rome the AC might not work but the one in Spain was very comfortable. Sergio was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He answer all my questions and explained about the culture. I would suggest to EF tours to maybe not be responsible for dinners or find other restaurants in Rome because we were treated like an inconvenience on the last one. Food at the Vatican was not enough. My suggestion is to do another day in Madrid instead of Rome.

This trip was amazing, very busy, but we were able to experience a lot of different things and the food was amazing. The tour guide was one of the best parts, she made this trip wonderful, educational, enjoyable, and memorable.

Have better arrival communication Allow seat selections and hotel selections for parents traveling with kids If it’s more than one group with your buddy have all leaders on a group text before arrival to prevent wait times at the airport, we are tired of traveling and ready to unpack and bath At dinner no one asked if we wanted wine or anything else but water Laura rushed us out the gift shop and was rude Left us to wait in the heat to bring the other group to a cooking class instead of giving us the speech and then letting us free No tickets at the coliseum they would not let us in The pettelers threatened to kill me when I told one of them to move away when the police showed up Paris flight in- Laura did not do a good job at informing us about lunch. She waited until after luggage and the airport had one shop to eat at. They ran out of everything so some didn’t eat. She could have planned that way Better Bus broke down we did not get a bathroom stop had to catch a metro train daughter peed on herself Had to walk 30 minutes from the train to the hotel. Room assignment still had to be done, the Texas woman did not help distribute luggage to her kids and was looking through it all to find only her groups. Bus pulled over in the side of the road no explanation just need a minute

My daughter had fun and enjoyed her first time in Europe going with a group of kids her age. She liked the teacher guides a lot, the tour guide and the local guides a lot. However, it was a very quick tour of 3 cities in 9 days. Taking flights from one city to the other made it a little more crunched in time that they only had a day and a half in Paris. Barely had time to explore, my daughter never thought the food was really in the local styles much. Overall she had a good time.

My son had a full experience in these three cities led by Stefano who brought his perspective to the tour group.

Poor planning by EF. Unorganized and too large of groups for tours. Canceled events. And the kids didn't even see major landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower

A terrible experience. I regret wasting nearly 5k on this trip, which was poorly planned and resulted in my student spending the majority of his time in airports. This group books the cheapest tickets (2 stops), leading to forseeable missed connections. Communication was practically nonexistent. The group was separated and re-booked on different flights to different cities (and countries). They missed the first two days of the trip and scheduled activities and only spent a few hours in the first destination before having to leave for the next country. My contacts with EF Tours about the missed days were met with a canned response to talk to my travel insurance. Overall, it was very disappointing.

We apologize for the negative experience you and your student had for the tour. We understand your frustration with the missed connections, lack of communication, and the impact it had on the itinerary. While our team does their best to secure the best flights for the group, there may be some unforeseen airline schedule changes that conclude in needing flights with layovers to get the group to their destination. However, it sounds like overall the tour did not meet your expectations. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our planning and communication. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Well organized. Two are guys very friendly. The food average time allotment for key historic areas needed extended.

Food was ok, it could have been better. I am talking about the dinner. Half of the dinners felt bland, and three of the deserts tasted horrible. Tour guides were great. Hotels were good. We made the most out of the experience. Traveling was great.

Do not use EF unless you want to pay to suffer. Not the same company as in 2020. Horrible hotels and food. Our kids were starving and miserable. My son says he never wants to use EF again

This tour was fast a furious, but we saw so many wonderful things in our 8 days together and had the absolute best guide in Mario! If you are looking for a leisurely trip through Europe this is not the trip for you. But if you are looking to see a ton of site, learn a ton of history and enjoy three countries in 8 days, it was awesome!
