The experience was great. It offered a good balance of activities and down time.
The trip was great as far as the destination and day trips that we visited. Unfortunately, the food was so repetitious with no ethnic flavors. One of the places we stayed was filled with cockroaches, spiders, etc. Our driver and Translator, were exceptionally knowledgeable and so much fun to travel with.
Words would do little justice to the experiences and the time we had in Costa Rica with EF Tours. Our tour guide Victor did such an amazing job. this whole experience was AMAZING!!!

We had an amazing experience on our EF Educational Tour to Costa Rica! The highlight of our trip was our Tour Director, JP. He was absolutely brilliant, knowledgeable, organized, calm, and incredibly helpful. His passion for Costa Rica, its culture, wildlife, and history made every stop meaningful. JP went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt included, informed, and cared for. He truly took this experience to the next level and exceeded every expectation. The itinerary was well planned, and we created memories that will last a lifetime. The only area that could be improved was the hotel accommodations. They were clean and sufficient, but overall felt a bit mediocre compared to the exceptional quality of the rest of the tour. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend EF Educational Tours. A special thank you to JP for making our Costa Rica adventure so incredible. Pura Vida! 🌿🇨🇷

The trip as a whole planned from beginning to end is priceless. I cannot wait for my next excursion!
My experience was twofold. Our tour guide, Eduardo, was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable, personable, enthusiastic and kept out children as well as the adults enamored with the knowledge he had about his beautiful country, Costa Rica. The accommodations on the other hand left much to be desired. We were very aware that EF Tours tries to give business to local families and I completely understand and agree with that mindset. What we were UNAWARE of and BLINDSIDED with was the fact that we’d be ‘glamping’ (I’m using that term loosely). As someone that doesn’t like the outdoors or camping, this ruined my entire trip. My roommate and I had to keep the lights on all night to avoid having critters in our room, unfortunately, insects such as bullet ants and gnats don’t care about light. The sheets even had mold growing on them. While most of our group received actual rooms with walls and air conditioning, some of us were left to the wilderness…. literally. Our door locked with a push button that with any skinny object could have been clicked open from the outside. There was no deadbolt on the door. We had no working windows, just screens that again, could easily be breached if someone wanted to. We fought off bullet ants while listening to howler monkeys all night only getting about 2.5 hours of sleep each night. For the cost of this trip, glamping should NEVER be an option for anyone, especially when we were promised hotel rooms from the beginning. I hope you take this information seriously, as I hope no one ever has to go through this awful situation with a school trip again.
Traveling abroad showed me my connection to the world and the beauty of other cultures and people. Pura Vida !
