My daughter enjoyed the trip and is glad she went. However, she was disappointed in how much time was allocated to guided tours versus free exploration, how often they were rushed in iconic places like the Trevi Fountain, and that they didn't even enter the Pantheon. She preferred the EF trip she took last year to Paris. She said in that trip she did not feel so rushed and had more free time to explore what interested her most.
All-around AWESOME! I'm not sure how one can effectively articulate how exceptional our experience of the eternal city was. From our tour director to the attention to details in planning, to the overwhelming support as Heathrow cancelled our flight home, EF Tours goes above and beyond in every way. As a first time group leader, and a large group of 49 at that, the pre-trip support was so helpful. It allowed me to do what I was hoping to do without stress or concern that I was forgetting something. I'm appreciative beyond measure for the opportunity, the overall experience, and am looking forward to the next two trips I already have scheduled! Tina
Incredible!
EF made going on this experience easy for the student and adults. They had great ways to earn money to pay for the trip and great experiences. When my child was in Rome they had their flights canceled and EF swooped right in to help get them home safe. It was nice to not have to worry so much about my child because they really were taken care of.
Absolutely beautiful places were chosen!
A great intro to Rome. Lots of free time built in to customize the experience.

Tour was OK, except for too many kids in one room. Some tour guides were not great. But the flights home were canceled 3 times, with no communication or proactive help from EF. Customer service/parent “hotline” is an absolute joke. Very disappointed. Would never recommend. And incredibly expensive for what you get as well. *despite EF’s mealy-mouthed reply (several months after the fact!), I stand by the review. And I will add - 2 teens sharing a twin bed for several nights is pretty crap - 4 to a room was expected. Tiny beds for grown teenagers was not. Putting the group up in a hotel in Naples hours away from a rebooked flight in Rome is bad. Not providing transport from Naples back to Rome is bad. The food was bad at most meals. EF not supporting the group leader through not one, but three! flight cancellations is bad. But the absolute worst was the lack of caring and total disinterest shown when any of the parents called the supposed “hotline”. An absolute joke of a company that just screws eager parents for every last cent.

We're sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your Rome tour. We aim to provide assistance and clear communication during tours, and we are sorry if we did not meet these expectations in your case. During flight cancellations, we ask Group Leaders to work directly with airlines as thy have procedures for rebooking groups who are affected. Should the airline not provide a flight or hotel until the following day, we will book rooms when available.
Regarding rooming, it is standard to room 3-4 students together. However, we understand not everyone may be comfortable with this, which is why we offer upgrades for a fee if requested ahead of travel.

It was pretty and gorgeous. So much to see and do. I have no regrets going, not at all.
This was a great trip, and the students walked away with a much broader worldview. Our tour directors were fantastic and well-informed.

I would recommend everything about EF Tours to other parents. I had plenty of time to make payments on my son’s trip, we were given great to-do lists with dates to prepare for the trip, we knew his itinerary in advance and were able to prepare for the flights and layover times to and from Italy, the tour guides were amazing and made sure the students had a great experience.
My son had a great time on his trip.
It was a jammed packed schedule that didn’t disappoint. The only thing that was disappointing was the flight home with 2 layovers.
