It's a school trip, so you need to understand that means certain things are set. At the same time I think the itinerary should include more hands on cultural experiences. The kids had a hard time staying focused when they were just listening to guides.

The sights were beautiful, and all but 1 local guide was top notch. Our Tour guide Janine was phenomenal, as well as our bus driver Bruno. We were fortunate to have the same driver for the entire trip. Great experience.

Spain and Portugal are beautiful countries with rich histories and culture. I am glad we had this experience and I would recommended to anyone

We came to these countries to immerse ourselves in their culture—but instead, the trip felt like a constant race from one stop to the next. Aside from our first day, when we were dropped off in Madrid after an overnight flight and given just 4–5 hours of unsupervised free time to “shop,” the entire experience was rushed and disorganized. That first day felt disorienting and unwelcoming, and unfortunately, it set the tone for the rest of the trip. The overall planning and management of this tour were extremely disappointing. I paid a significant amount of money expecting a meaningful cultural experience, but we barely had time to appreciate the places we visited. Why were we constantly rushing, practically jogging through Spain and Portugal, with so little time to absorb the history, food, and local charm? One particularly frustrating moment was missing out on the vibrant street festival in Porto. The city was alive with celebration, yet we didn’t even stay there overnight to enjoy it. That decision alone was a major missed opportunity to experience local culture at its best. In addition to the chaotic schedule, there were serious oversights regarding the needs of group members. We had two individuals with physical limitations and several with dietary restrictions, yet it felt like those needs were completely disregarded. The gluten-free travelers regularly waited 20–30 minutes longer for meals, and accommodations for mobility needs were clearly not considered in the planning. Why were those health and dietary forms even filled out if they weren’t going to be taken seriously? This was, by far, the most disappointing EF tour I’ve been on. I truly feel that I did not receive the value I paid for, and I hope EF Tours takes this feedback seriously to improve future experiences for others.

Poor on food choices and some hotels Not enough time on important tours like Toledo, should be a full day tour. Good experience for students and beautiful places to visit. Good company they take care of you and I know they take in consideration recommendations to improve. Hopefully they will do.

My 15 year old son and his group had a great experience! EF Tours was very easy to work with and trustworthy. The Group Leader was great about sending updates and pictures of the places they visited!

Wonderful locations selected to visit, tour guides were amazing, and bus driver made me feel safe! Hotels and dinners took the one star away. Food was not varied or cultural enough and the hotels were small and one couldn't even provide hot water for all to shower in the mornings or evenings.

We enjoyed the slower pace of the tour. Our favorite part was the bike ride and flamenco lesson. Our Tour Director was excellent and responsive to our needs. The hotels and food options were also very good. The only complaint we had on the tour is the repetitiveness of guided tours, especially at the end. There were no other activities that broke up the monotony of each new city and guided tours of each. Overall I would recommend this tour.

The itinerary was not very good for seeing the sights and the last hotel was horrible with bugs and sketchy characters.

This tour is amazing - not too much time on the bus and plenty of activities and free time to make every type of traveler happy. My students were amazed with the culture, the food, the architecture, and the history!

My son attended this trip and he said everything went smoothly. He felt safe at all times and enjoyed all the event and tours. He is looking forward to traveling more. As the parent, navigating through the website and enrolling to finishing payments everything was easy. Uploading documents the communication to make sure when deadlines were coming up and keeping track of payments. Everything was easy. Thank you for his experience and most of all safety.
