The locations they visited were fantastic. However, there were many opportunities they missed because of time constraints and lodging locations. They would stay at questionable hotels that were outside the main cities which made it hard for the travelers to explore certain museums or attractions at their leisure. Additionally, the group made very long stops at truck stops and when going to interesting places, their time was extremely limited. This is not how the trip that was described to us at the first meeting. They seemed to me unorganized and lacked knowledge of where to go or what to visit.
Beautiful country, rich history and friendly people.
Stayed busy, tried new stuff, saw cool stuff.
Excellent itinerary and wonderful EF Tour Director Carlos C.
We had such a great time!!
This is going to be a brutally honest and constructive review. What I liked: *Having a local tour guide showing us the local customs *Learning the history of the places we visited *I didn't have to worry about planning anything--it was already done for me *Transportation, hotel, some meals, and site visits were all included (except for the huge gratuity we were required to contribute on top of the trip fee - which we were not made aware of until the day before our trip). *The coffee was amazing What I didn't like: *It was uncomfortably hot and humid. It was entirely the wrong time of year to visit Spain *It was unbelievably crowded. We were there during peak holiday with the rest of Europe *Because everything was planned for us, it also meant we had no say in which sites, restaurants, and hotels to visit. The first hotel had paper thin walls and you could hear the people talking next door. The meals were chosen for us, which was not great for this picky eater. I lived off bread and coffee most days. At least the buses had AC, that was my daughter's favorite part of the trip. We visited many places I would not have selected. Combined with the heat made some days pretty miserable, and distracted from the novelty of being there in the first place. *Because we crammed so many places into a short visit, we didn't get to really absorb the culture and nuances of each place. It was up early, on the bus, and off to the next place. Go go go. No rest. No sleeping in. We. Were. EXHAUSTED. Like, in tears exhausted. Places I would have chosen to stay longer, we had left in less than 24 hours. We were always on someone else's agenda. *You don't get to choose who you're spending your time with. I have a very small circle, and would never choose to give my precious time with some of the people on our trip. In summary, I would not do an EF Tour, or anything similar, again. It was too taxing, and negated from why we were there in the first place. To learn and have fun. It just wasn't....fun. I was so excited to go, and it wasn't all what I was expecting. Which made the whole thing disappointing. I was trying to be optomistic and have fun. It was hard to accomplish. I was amazed that parents just sent their kids unaccompanied to a foreign country. I couldn't imagine my daughter being there with a group of strangers. Maybe that's just me. I'd rather pay the extra money and go on my own vacation.

Loved it but group meals were too basic chicken and potatoes too many times and I can eat that in the USA I wanted more options or something authentic. Hotel in costa del sol was awesome your director was incredible bus drivers were nice schedule and itinerary was thought out and well planned. My only complaints are bland food and then my experience in the airport coming home was very rough and communicating with EF was kind of a nightmare for awhile and I felt alone and not supported for awhile.

Awesome trip! Sylvia was an excellent tour guide!
Tour director was amazing. We had a blast.
The whole trip was super fun, very educational, and a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. I cannot express how much fun I had and how much I learned in the process.
Andrea was AMAZING!!!!!!!
Amazing trip . So glad we got to do this.
During our 11 days bussing through Spain, we felt like we were flying. No time to get bored, and lots of time to sleep, rest, get to know our fellow travelers; and the experiences became permanent memories. Thank you, EF! So organized and catered to the student learning and experience!
