It was a WONDERFUL experience for my students, parents, chaperones(2) and myself!!!!! I would definitely go back to visit!!!!! The smile on my students faces is one for the books. They loved it!!!!
I had the best travel experience!
Was a very great tour, we enjoyed every moment of it. I’m very happy that the schools are offering this opportunity for the students. I think it’s an amazing experience that every student should experience. Our main Tour guide Lucca was amazing. He was very knowledgeable of all the places we were going. He kept us in the loop a day In advance to let us know what we were doing. He had tour guides in every city.Martina and Giorgio were our favorite for sure, he took us to a very nice restaurant called Casa Toscana in the middle of Florence and it was amazing. He also showed us where the best gelato in the world is. We traveled to Venice and took water taxis to the island of Murano and Burano. It was an amazing experience to be in those little towns. We also went to the Colosseum and just to walk around and look at the monuments is amazing Saint peters Basilica, and the Vatican Museum was amazing, truly One for the books cannot wait for next year.
She wished she had more free time.

Once in a lifetime trip, that will never be forgotten. The trip was well planned out, the tour guide and bus drivers were exceptional, knowledgeable, and made her trip even better. Would Definitely take another trip if the opportunity of arose with EF Tours.

This itinerary was really good. We visited three of the best cities in Italy to show students, with much to see and do in each place. We added the Perugia and Assisi extension which was spectacular and provided us with some small towns after seeing the big cities. I highly recommend this tour!
Great experience for young people to go on with school
My son had a wonderful time on his tour. The tour guides, trip leader and chaperones were all wonderful people. We look forward to more learning experiences abroad.
Terrible food and hotels. They shouldn’t provide breakfast and dinner if they aren’t going to provide an authentic experience. Maybe they could improve the hotel quality with the savings.

This is a great tour that exposes you to the highlights of three of the most important cities in Italy. We also had a couple of bonus stops like Burano and Murano!
Hotels were poor quality and kids were staked 4 to a room. During our “tours” we were taken to high pressure, expensive stores that clearly had a financial relationship with EF. Overall, I felt that EF was doing everything they could to save money on our tour for maximum profit.

While there is a ton of travel on this tour, we did get to see and learn a lot. The days we drive between cities was kind of draining but it gave all the kids time to sleep on the bus since most of them were staying up late. The days in Venice were great, we got to see several islands there, and saw some beautiful sights. The gondola ride was only okay, as our gondolier was literally on his phone the whole time, but the walking tour was fantastic. Pisa was another great destination, we learned a lot, saw some beautiful architecture, and had time to explore a bit. Our guide was very knowledgeable, especially about the cathedral, which was a great experience. I could have done with at least another day in Florence! There is so much art and beauty there that one day exploring wasn’t enough. We only made it to one museum, the Accademia Gallery, and I really wanted to hit the Uffitzi as well but time did not permit. I could have spent another day in Rome as well! We weren’t able to get in to tour the colosseum or the forums (well we did get to walk around the forums a bit) so instead we toured Ostia Antica which was one of my favorite days! The tour of the Vatican was interesting, though our guide had to literally whisk us through my favorite part, the museums of the popes. We didn’t really have much time at all to really look at the art before being told to move along by the guards. We did get to see some beautiful antiquities though, including two original Greek sculptures. The cartography room was also beautiful, as were the tapestries. The Sistine Chapel was of course a highlight, I really wish I had been able to take photos but my memories and google photos will have to suffice! All in all it was another great tour with EF! This was our second time touring as a family and we really had a good time. Thanks again to Mattia, all the bus drivers, and all the guides who made this a trip to remember!

I will begin by saying that I did an EF tour in college and absolutely loved it. So when my daughter asked to go on one I didn't think twice. However, I learned that the success of a trip partially depends on who organizes it as well as the tour guide. So i will begin my review with the cons of this trip The organizer was a very nice woman but she was not too responsive to emails or communication. This caused a lot of stress as I had to apply for a background check last minute as well as pay an additional $400 to be in a room with my daughter- which is absurd! Next, the quality and location of the hotels. All 3 star hotels and all far from each destination which meant a lot of travel time wasted on a bus (with no tvs or bathrooms). One hotel had mosquitoes- we killed about 7. 0 amenities, not even an iron and the tvs never worked. These were literally motels. The dinners were also not authentic Italian meals. Half of my family is Italian, these were American type dishes. Students were served pork 3 days straight as well as tiramisu. And the tour guide was awful rude. I have dietary restrictions and I overheard her complaining to the chef and the bus driver about my personal dietary restrictions, calling me a prima Donna- I understand italian and could do nothing but laugh it off. She instructed the chef to make me egg omletes for dinner 2 days straight- I was so disgusted by dinner that I opted to go to dinner with my daughter and her friend for the rest of the week. Eventhough I already paid for it. It's horrible to be made felt as if your health issues are an inconvenience! She would be eating a fancy dish at the front of the restaurant while everyone else ate pork daily. Its as if she did it on purpose. The last day was veal which most of the kids refused to eat... noone was even given an option. This tour guide is unprofessional and should not work with people. She even made many remarks about immigrants coming to ruin Italy on the bus. Last, the flight back should have been direct. Why on earth did we need to fly from Rome to Washington DC then to NJ??? It makes no sense. Too much travel time wasted and a lot for these kids. Despite these hiccups, I powered through and made the best of this trip. We paid a pretty penny and this was a high school memory for my daughter and her friends. But EF tours- please, please vet your tour guides, hotels and all else better. I had a great experience with this company in the past and this tour disappointed me a bit.

The sights were incredible. Florence was a beautiful location, filled with interesting buildings and shops. Rome was majestic, seeing the coliseum, and the Vatican. The most pleasant surprise was seeing the Pope at St. Peter’s Basilica.
