We had a great experience with EF on our 2026 Europe tour. The guides were excellent, the hotels were solid, the food was good, and the trip was very well organized. We covered a tremendous amount in a short time and came home feeling like our students and adults had experienced something truly worthwhile. Our Tour Director, Leah, was outstanding again and was a huge part of making the trip run so smoothly. We enjoyed the experience enough that we're already planning our next EF trip for 2028.
The trip was wonderful. The kids learned a lot and saw a lot. The price was pretty decent for the amount of time and places they were able to visit. We felt safe sending our child on this trip because of the safeguards you had in place.
The tour was great, but it was too packed full of activities. Examples: there was not enough time to complete museums, we were rushed out of the palace of Versailles so the local guide could get to the other half of our group, Normandy should have been done in 2-3 days not 1. I was so excited to try authentic European food, but what I got was Japanese and Indian food. Even though the food was good it was disappointing. My favorite places to stay were the Ferme du Bois and the hotel in Berlin. Our tour guide, Leah, was AMAZING.

There was too much time spent traveling and not enough time sightseeing. 11 nights goes by very quickly. I felt like we were rushed through 4 countries on the tour. I barely remember Belgium since it was only one night there. There was not enough free time to do the tour options. There were many places I would have liked to venture to that were not on the tour. I was glad that I made the effort to venture off to go the theatre (London), visit the Louve, and eat at a restaurant (skipping the EF dinner that I and my other 3 family members already paid for) that was probably the best meal I had on the trip. I did not get to climb the Effel tower because I went to the Louve. Why make the tourist chose between 2 main attractions? I think you should allow the guests to eat on their own one night in France since it is 4 nights there. The itinerary is jam packed but time spent traveling could have been cut short if we stayed closer to the attractions. We spent an hour each way to and from a hotel which is not ideal! I understand it is a business but the tourists are spending a lot of money on this trip. The options should be a given sooner and be more upfront. It was not very clear on the sample itinerary. I think it was a bit sneaky to only disclose the hotels right before trip departure. Based on this experience I don't think I would travel on EF tours again. I might try traveling with a tour group again in the future but this has left a negative experience on me about group tours. I didn't know what I was getting myself into because it was all new to me (group tours) but I know now, that putting the time into planning ones own vacation is worth it to me. I would only recommend this if you are a student traveling alone (without Parental Units). As an adult, I know what I want out of a vacation. I feel that EF tours offers a very specific experience without the frills of fine dinning and cushy hotels. This is perfect for the student and the person who likes to explore and have adventures (but not of their own planning). I took my family of 4 on this group trip (2 adults and two kids/students) but don't feel satisfied based on the money we spent. This is my honest opinion. If you accept that you may only see the sights listed on the itinerary this trip will be for you (anything extra is really just extra). Don't rely on free time to venture off to see what you want to see because it may not happen. So don't be disappointed if you don't get to your bucket list. Also, If you're thinking that you can see what you want to see if you just extend your stay at the beginning end or the latter end, I warn you that EF tours will tell you that it will be a separate booking from your group. This means you may not be traveling with your group for the beginning leg or ending leg. You may be on a different fight (to and back) from your group and that it will be up to you, at your expense to meet up with them. I ask you to think about your needs and wants. I hope this review helps you to ask the right questions so you know if this is right for you. Much of this I only found out after I signed up for the trip. I hope this helps inform you about what it may be like to travel through EF.
This was another exceptional experience with EF Educational Tours. From the planning process through our return home, every aspect of the tour was thoughtfully organized and supported. Our Tour Director, Russell Fleet, was truly outstanding—his knowledge, professionalism, flexibility, and ability to engage students transformed an already great itinerary into an unforgettable educational experience. As an educator, one of the most rewarding parts of traveling with EF is watching students grow in confidence, independence, and global awareness. They return with a deeper understanding of history and culture, stronger relationships with their peers, and memories that will last a lifetime.
The tour directors did a great job. I was disappointed that we didn’t get to go into some more buildings. We went to a few museums and saw several monuments, but many of them buildings/structures we saw were just from the outside, some of which were from a distance or through a bus window. This was especially true of Berlin. For the cost of the trip, I thought we would get more than “free” experiences. Also, the students were very disappointed that they weren’t able to swim at any of the hotels they had pools. When I asked the hotel staff at the Bastogne resort, they said that EF was aware the pool was closed for cleaning on Mondays. There also could have been better communication about how the flight worked. There was a lot of confusion regarding check in and luggage. And the flights were booked without hardly any layover time. It was extremely stressful. In Paris, we were given 4.5 hours of free time one day. This was far too much, however I London we had no free time for souvenir shopping. The meals we were served for dinners did not usually fit the local area, e.g. fish and chips in Paris instead of London. London was Polish sausage and rice. Actually, we had rice at severing the meals, could have used more variety. Taste was fine, but not what I expected. Also, a couple restaurants did not even serve the meal that was agreed upon. Based on this experience, I highly doubt me or my daughter will participate in another EF trip.
Students were engaged and immersed in history! From the Imperial War Museum in London to the beaches of Normandy, on to Paris, Bastogne, and Berlin, we travelled through the sights of an American soldier and witnessed the places they might have been during WWII. This trip was powerful. This trip was moving. This trip had lots of tanks... and the students loved it! Our tour director, Ciaran, was amazing, patient, funny, and worked with us to make sure we were getting the experience we wanted. 10/10 would recommend this trip!
We saw most of destinations from a bus window. I'm sure the city tour guides were very knowledgeable but we couldn't see half of what they were pointing out because we were in a tour bus. In what world is 2.5 hours enough at Versailles? As a company that only does travel planning, I expected it to be educational and enjoyable. It was somewhat educational but not very enjoyable. TIME, TIME, TIME. This tour needs to be edited so people can actually make it all the way through a museum. So people can immerse themselves in these sights that they may never visit again. So people can eat AND explore on the lunch break. (I learned very quickly you can't do both) The schedule made no sense. The free time was either way too much or not even close to enough. The locations were relevant to the topic of the tour, but you barely had time to take a picture let alone learn about it. Since when is an outlet mall considered souvenir shopping? People want destination related items, not a an under armour store. I would not recommend this tour or tour company at all.
The overall tour was amazing. My daughter saw so many great sites. She really loved all the museums and historic sites.
They packed so much into 2 weeks. So much information and we never would have been able to see and do so much on our own. Well worth the money. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
Overall trip was great. A few glitches but that’s to be expected. Wished we could have had more time at some of the spots for example Normandy. Don’t think it was necessary to have scheduled 5 hours of shopping in Berlin. Hats off to our amazing guide Russell Fleet!
This is our second child to travel with EF on this specific tour. The accommodations are sub par (no sheets on beds in multiple hotels, one hotel had fly infestation) and several experiences were cancelled. (Versailles before trip even started and the replacement experience mid trip) Both children had travel issues that took most of a day or more to resolve. One child waited 6+hours at a train station, another missed a full 24 hours waiting. After the second experience we have learned that EF large group travel is only worth the price if you don't enjoy travel yourself and want your child to try it without you, or if your child just wants to hang out with their friends for a week.
I had a great experience from start to finish. I would definitely tour with them again.
While there were a lot of moving parts, 4 countries in 10 days, 5 hotels, planes, trains, boats and buses, this experience was phenomenal. Students learned WWII history first hand, standing in the places where major incidents in the war took place. One can't learn that way in a traditional classroom setting. Henri, one of our local guides, was present at the Battle of the Bulge and his father was killed. He was able to share his story and students were in awe of his resilience and love of the American soldiers who liberated Belgium. The cemeteries were very emotional experiences for everyone. In between, we were able to see major historic sites as well. It was a great mix of old and new. We all came away with an unforgettable experience!

My experience gave me a lot of new information on WWII. It gave me a greater understanding of multiple sides of the war, and how much played a factor into the different aspects that started the war. The food was also great
