Allyson and Keeley were fantastic…

Allyson and Keeley were fantastic throughout the conveyancing process and handled all three transactions seamlessly for us. Communication was easy, their advice invaluable and response times were exceptional. The system enabled easy access to documentation in one secure place without needing to sift through long email chains.
Their fees were really fair and I feel their quality of work was worth every penny.
I would highly recommend EG law’s services and I will definitely use them again.

Poor show all round

EG Law were recommend to us by Starkings and Watson and we were pleased to find out they were already representing the vendors we were purchasing from. We took their advice and went with a solicitor they said they had a good working relationship with.

All was set for a swift transaction as neither party had a chain and the vendors were keen to facilitate the sale.

It then took EG law 4 weeks to even instruct our solicitor.

the initial enquiries were returned barely completed, stating facts irrelevant to questions answered.

Their solicitor on the case left the firm and no one in the process was informed until a replacement had been found.

The vendors then found a property to purchase, so engaged us in a chain.

Finally, our EG Law recommended solicitor was slow in getting information to us leaving a rush to process everything which we achieved to facilitate completion, only to find out EG law have a company policy of not requesting funds until exchange is completed, this was not communicated to us either.

A 22 week process this sale 'with no chain' and 'good working relationship between solicitors', make of it what you like.

Solicitors that care!!!!!!

I used EG Law for moving house and I cannot recommend them more highly. From start to finish they made it so easy for me, Kate was so quick to respond to all of my queries and the online portal meant I could view my case to see the progress at any time. I have used other solicitors in the past and it has honestly been like night and day.

Great Company

I found EG Law to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable when dealing with both my recent sale and purchase. Communication was excellent as were updates on the progress of everything. They made the whole process as hassle and stress free as buying and selling a property can be. Big shout outs to Charlie Bowden and Caleb Dunthorpe who were always available to help and put up with me and all my endless questions!!

A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE OF HOUSE PURCHASING.

I had used Charlie Bowden to sell a property in Wales (on the recommendation of a friend who had used her to do a house purchase) a couple of years ago when she worked for a different company and I decided to use her again for a house purchase. She is very knowledgeable and has fantastic communication skills, and has always been easy to contact, a rare gift these days in this field. I would definitely use her again. EG Law itself I was pleasantly surprised to discover was also far better at communication than most other companies I have had experience with. They managed to complete in just over a month. Highly recommend them, and especially Charlie Bowden.

Charlie and Caleb at e.g Law limited…

Charlie and Caleb at e.g Law limited were absolutely fantastic. After a slow start, we were able to receive updates weekly and as first time buyers we were so appreciative of this. They really helped get us over the line and at a crazy busy time too! Would definitely recommend to any one looking for solicitors they can rely on. Thank you both.

High fees even on failure

We got involved with this firm after we had found it difficult to engage a solicitor to process a sale and purchase before the end of the stamp duty holiday. They were recommended by the developer and we were told they were close friends (is this even ethical?). Anyway, we were caught between a rock and a hard place and the quote was ok, even though it was higher than average and the deposit the highest quoted by a long way.

After just a week or two, we discovered that the "exclusive development" quoted by the developer wasn't as exclusive as we were led to believe and we withdrew. We got hit with high withdrawal fees by the developer which we are currently disputing through the correct legal channels.

Then we get hit by high withdrawal fees by e.g.law!

My recommendation is to avoid this firm like the plague. You will hear that a high number (30+%) of sales and purchases fail, and the majority of conveyancers offer to charge nothing or deposit only on failure. Go for one of these.

GD Property Solicitors offer such a service and do not even charge a deposit. Now happy with them!

This is the first time I've used EG Law…

This is the first time I've used EG Law the reason being that the solicitor I've used previously elsewhere Charlie Bowden has moved here. The customer experience is fantastic with a detailed step by step process of where I was in the sale of my property which I could view online in real time, which means not having to constantly phone in for an update, I would highly recommend EG Law & Charlie to anyone requiring a conveyance service.

I have used eg.law twice now for conveyancing services (2 sales and a purchase) and I find that the service is faultless, completely transparent and the team work extremely hard. The absolute best thing about the team at eg.law is their communication skills, in an industry that is generally known for poor communication with clients, eg.law are miles better than their competitors. I have always known what stage I am at and the team are more than happy to quickly and efficiently answer any questions. Highly recommend

very good and straight forward.

We held a beauty contest to discover which legal firm offering conveyancing service in the Norwich area suited our needs to sell a vacated bungalow We found EG Law were offering a similar or better Conveyancing service at price that was extremely competitive. I found the firm to have a straight forward genial approach to the Conveyance process dealing with all aspects in a no nonsense way. I would not hesitate to recommend this conveyancing firm. As a an out of town office in a small suburb of Norwich they are easy to locate and have ample free parking.
