Formal Complaint and Request for Resolution – Defective Battery and Unused Products

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to formally report an unresolved issue regarding Enhel products purchased in November and to request a definitive solution.

In early November, I purchased an Enhel cordless screwdriver kit with battery. I received the product in mid-November. At the same time, I also purchased other Enhel products, including both corded and battery-powered tools, such as a jigsaw and a heat blower, which are also battery-powered. These two products were delivered without batteries, as they were intended to be used with the battery from the screwdriver kit.

However, since the first day, the battery from the screwdriver kit has never functioned. I have left it charging for several hours on multiple occasions, and it does not charge at all. I own battery-powered tools from other brands and have sufficient experience to clearly determine that this battery is defective and does not hold or receive any charge.

As a result, I currently have three battery-powered Enhel products that I have never been able to use. Since mid-November, it is now February, and the three-month warranty period is almost over, even though I have never been able to use the products due to the defective battery.

I have contacted Enhel Brazil’s support team several times via email and WhatsApp, without success. A service request was opened, and I was instructed to send the battery along with the charger for evaluation. I did so, but the problem was not resolved. The battery was returned in the same condition as before.

The battery continuously blinks, including the button light, does not charge, and does not power any of the three battery-powered tools—not even for a single second. At no time does the battery hold any charge.

Currently, I am being asked once again to send the product for another analysis, which would be time-consuming. After almost three months of ownership without any resolution, I am no longer willing to send the product again. I expect an alternative and more effective solution.

I am also unable to speak with anyone from management or a supervisory level who could resolve this matter. I remain restricted to contact with customer service representatives, who have not been able to solve the issue.

All my products are new, unused, and still with their original labels. I would prefer not to go through this kind of inconvenience with the brand. I also own two other Enhel corded (127V) products that work perfectly, and I genuinely like Enhel products.

I would very much like to have a positive experience with the brand. Unfortunately, this has not been the case—neither with the brand itself nor with the company responsible for support in Brazil.

I respectfully request your assistance or a definitive solution to this matter, as the local technical support has failed to resolve the issue.

The worst after sales service I have ever received

I live in Iceland and I purchased an Einhell strimmer a few years ago. In that time I have used it no more than 20 times. Recently the pull starter broke and on investigation I discovered that a piece of plastic had broken making the starter inoperative. I was told by Einhell I could buy the part online and tried to do so. They don't send to Iceland. I wrote to Einhell again and was told the shop in Iceland where I could get a replacement. No the shop hadn't got the part. This part is small and would fit in an envelope and probably costs about €1. The reply I got from Einhell customer service shocked me. They replied:
"thank you fo your answer.
Unfortunately, we cannot suggest any other solution.
Have a pleasant day.
Best Regards,"

What a disgusting reply from a supposedly reputable company that sells you an item but when you need help basically tells you to get lost. I shall never buy any Einhell product again.

Non-existen warranty

Had problem with Spain Einhell warranty replacment. Write bad review. Deutschland Einhell join chat. And nothing, after providing all proof they confirm the warranty case, and ignore warranty replacement or refund. The tool is registered with an extended warranty which is non-existent/

Tools from Hell.

Tools from Hell.
When you write a bad review here then someone from Einhell replies and says to email them with a case number. After you write the story and your problem they ask for receipts (of the tool and the spare part you bought). Then you never hear from them again and they ignore all your emails.

Einhell Grinder - Poor Quality and Service

I purchased a 115mm Einhell angle grinder about 4 years ago. It was clearly out of warranty but had been used very lightly. However it developed such a strong vibration that it was barely possible to hold. I contacted both Einhell UK and Germany (in German) explaining the problem honestly, and suggesting that the machine should never have failed so badly after the light use I had put it to. Einhell UK generously agreed to pay half any repair costs but after numerous phone calls I could find no-one willing to repair the machine. Spare parts have to be ordered from Germany at excessive delivery cost and many parts are no longer in stock. I obtained an after-market spindle bearing and replaced this but to no effect. UK customer care suggested I send the grinder to them at my own cost but at a price comparable to a new grinder. I explained all this (in German) to Einhell Germany who basically sent me a list of spare parts. When I replied that I'd already been through that loop and some parts weren't available they offered no further diagnosis, advice or further assistance.
CONCLUSION: not an industry-robust brand; not supported by robust after-sales service or local main dealers for repairs; uncertain availability of spare parts which are warehoused in Germany with resulting high delivery costs; possibly poor quality engineering; polite customer service but not empowered to offer real or realistic solutions. My grinder has what is probably a common fault which the manufacturer could neither diagnose or fix. Sorry Einhell, but despite much effort on my part I got nowhere trying to engage with you. Never again!
