Elan Vacations Reviews 

Elan Vacations is big enough to be noticed in the market place but small enough to care about each and every client. One thing the DON'T have is 650 houses to care for. Their people get to know each house individually and care for them properly. That coupled with experienced managers and friendly phone staff are a winning combination. This makes every guest experience "first class".

The service from Elan was very good. However, our biggest complaint is that your office is located off the OBX. Since we always stay on the OBX Friday night before check-in on Sat, this means we now have to fight departing traffic off the island and then fight it again coming back on when we go to your office off the OBX. We have been coming to OBX for 22 years this summer, and have stayed at Whalerested for about 7 or 8 of those 22 years, the majority with the previous owners and this year and last with the new. The property is a bit run down, particularly the pool deck, which is original and now is rotted out in numerous spots making it a bit of a safety hazard especially around the ladder nearest the house (I mentioned this in my eval of the property at the end of last summer)-hopefully the owner fixed the pool deck. Otherwise LOVE the house. Great improvements on the exterior.

We are homeowners who have engaged Elan Vacations to manage our property for more than five years. We are entirely satisfied with Elan's services, and we have found that our beach house renters also speak well of Elan.

Personal attention to details is second to NONE! The team takes fantastic care of the home and treats it like they OWN it. House cleaning & Maintenance Staff is great. The carpet and the house look brand new.

I appreciate the feedback on items that need to be fixed/ repaired and or future projects that need to be addressed.

Had a great experience with them last year from booking all the way thru are stay at one of there homes. Had a bit of a hick-up with them this year when it was time to book a new home they were representing,but they were very helpful straightening it out and I would not book thru anyone else.

We rented for a week in October 2017. Elan made the whole experience easy. We had a blast! Will use Elan again in the future.

The reservation process via the online portal was easy and simple to use; the information/data about the property was spot on; and the staff were so nice, professional, and clearly happy to be there!

Good on checking in, etc. Poor communication skills upon question about refund of deposit. Poor refund policy waiting 45 days or more before return of my deposit, when no damage existed.Received a curt, arrogant reply from Elan employee, without any explanation - basically one sentence saying this is the way it is - period. That person missed the class on courtesy and gave me a bad feeling for the whole company. I will use another management company in the future.

Love Elan Vacations! They have the best customer service on the Outer Banks. They have a beautiful selection of homes and we have always found them to be very clean and well maintained. They are friendly and professional and truly care about your vacation. I would not go anywhere else to rent a home!

Great property that we have rented for 8 years in a row. Elan has bee amazingly responsive to any issues that we have ever had during our stays. The house is always ready when we arrive and in pristine condition.

Home was clean and ready when we arrived. When we called about an empty propane tank they sent a man out the same day to replace it. Everyone we had contact with was warm, friendly and helpful.

August 2017 great location and home was beautiful, but it’s very obvious owner was not reinvesting any money back into the house. Kitchen sink had a can to catch the water leak, broken outdoor furniture, mold in bathroom, jacuzzi water was filthy, pool filtration system did not work properly (we backflushed the system), door handles to 2 separate balconies were broke so balconies could not be used. You got the picture, I could go on and on. Calls to management who came and fixed one issue and no return. Would NOT recommend.
