They take money through auctions on EASY Live auctions then disappear with your money. i emailed them and called steve 5 times and he never responded. I bid in April on the auction platform EASy Live Auctions and paid Elephant house on the the 7th of April after he chased me and threatened to report me, yet he knew he was dissolving the company as i found it it was dissolved on the 21 of April. Easy Live Auctions said he was still going to be in touch, he did get in touch and said he had the goods safely stored and when could i collect, i gave him several dates i could collect and now radio silence again. So am wondering now if the goods ever existed and dont hold much hope of ever getting the item
This company has now gone through a compulsory strike-off process on the UK Companies House registry, concluding with a final dissolution on April 21, 2026.

I was successful in bidding for a number of small items and an invoice was sent to me. I paid in full and sent an email asking whether the items could be posted to me. I also left voice messages asking if I could collect the items in the event that postal delivery was not feasible.

Despite numerous repeated emails and voice messages to the advertised mobile number - I have received no communication from the auction house. My payment has not been returned to me.

Absolutely dreadful.

If I could give no stars I would . Won several small parts in auction and as I am disabled I asked if items could be delivered . No problem was the reply and a new invoice would be sent . Despite numerous e mails and phone calls that were never answered or replied to still no invoice sent . Steer clear of this auction house . Terrible customer service .

Just picked up an item I won in last weeks online auction. Great communication- even when I wanted to double check as long journey to collect. Was reassured the time slot to book (you book that online when you’re invoiced if you win the lot) was noted - I even changed my time slot. Drove 3 hours each way nearly to collect. Item completly as described - communication spot on. Very very happy and would 100% purchase with this auction house again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve had a friend of mine buy stuff from this auction for me for a while now., I get my friends to view the items first. ( my friend works on behalf of me).
My friend then buys them from the items for me and then delivers it too me. Personally I’ve had no issues the only thing I will say is he is a little bit of a nightmare to get a hold of on the phone as presumably he doesn’t have a receptionist.

So for the last year I’ve been buying from Steve at elephant house. I personally have had no problem. We can get hold of Steve on the mobile when needed. Yes this can be hard work at times but the auction house is not his full time job.

We go there on an open day prior to the auction, view and check the items for myself. Week later bud and win the auction lots (though easy live ).

Pay the emailed invoice.

Then arrange collection the (via arrangement- phone-call).
Collect generally the filling weekend after auction.

I haven’t had a problem. I view in person and collect in person.

I’m not sure about when people get posted or shipped out but I’m under the impression this is done via a 3rd party

I sold an item through them, not received any money from them.
They ignore emails, phone calls, texts.
Please Do Not use them

I bought an item over 3 months ago from this supposed ‘auction house’ and despite numerous emails, voicemail messages and asking a question on their livestream channel I have not received the goods or a refund. I was told 2 months ago that the item was being packaged and sent the following day. DO NOT make the same mistake as me and buy an item for a birthday present and never receive it from these charlatans.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING OR BID FOR ANYTHING FROM HERE!!!
I bought and paid for two items and I never heard from them again!!
I contacted easylive because they’re using there platform to be told there was nothing they could do to help me either and to contact auction room!!
Easylive customer care is a disgrace too and zero help!! It’s fraud etc and easylive are aware of it and have did nothing to stop it from happening etc!

This auction house accepts and sells faked items. I buy vintage and antique toys, a field I've been trading in for nearly 40 years. I have experience and knowledge, and recognise fakes when I see them.
On their recent auction they listed a boxed toy attributed to a famous German toy manufacturer, Schuco, a long established company which has produced highly sophisticated and well recognised toys, since the early 1900s.
It was absolutely obvious when I saw this listing that the box was a complete fake, although it was falsified with the name 'Schuco'. The toy inside was completely different to anything that the Schuco Company has ever manufactured, it is, in fact, a modern cheap tin toy manufactured in China.
I wrote to the Elephant auctions, and included a picture of the modern toy which I found on an Oxfam website, with its original box which clearly states that it was made in China.
I suggested that if they value their reputation they should withdraw this toy from their auction.
Not only did they ignore my message, they went on to sell the new toy in its falsified box.
What drew my attention to their auction was an extremely rare toy, which I was willing to pay good money for in spite of the fact that it was not working. However in view of their obviously dubious business practices, I decided that I would not risk bidding on anything on their auction.
It's a shame that there are people in the antique trade who so cynically fake and consign to auction houses items that have no value and which mislead buyers. It's even more shameful that the auction houses accept such items to auction.
It's also a pity that platforms such as Easy Live Auctions and The Saleroom distance and indemnify themselves against any claims, while accepting fees from innocent buyers on their platforms and apps.

Won and paid for my items, then asked for a shipping quote, or a recommended company, but no reply, keep trying the telephone numbers just get immediate cut off tone. Have emailed several times, again no response. I used EasyLive to place my bids, I realise they are just a platform, but I feel there should be some vetting to the companies who they allow to subscribe, or with trust lost, the whole platform will collapse, and could end up being an easy way for scammers to set up fake auctions, rake in the cash, then not send the goods. As it would appear in this case. I am going to keep trying, and if I do get a response will update this review. But for the time being, DO NOT USE THIS AUCTION HOUSE, AND COMPLAIN TO EASY LIVE as I will do. ☹️☹️

Beware of sending a deposit to Elephant House Auctions

Just like to put a word of warning to potential absentee bidders. If you send a deposit and are unsuccessful in the auction, then you may struggle to get it back.

The company is quick to accept your bid and deposit, but when it comes to getting your deposit back, they suddenly become very unresponsive to emails and they have no phone number to contact them on.
