Probably the worst customer service ever...
Bought a dishwasher including installation (more than usual to have it installed before Easter!) and removal of the old one.
Got the washing machine installed 1 week after Easter (2 visits needed) and I still have the old one sitting on my carport to be picked up since they forgot to create the correct work order for the installer who brought a small van!
The dishwasher couldn´t be installed during the 1st visit due to an inadequate electrical junction box but, to prevent such cases, ElGiganten could request their customers to send some photos for evaluation in advance of the technician´s visit.

Worse Customer Service ever.
I purchased a refrigerator from Elgiganten on Saturday, April 5th, which was delivered and installed on Tuesday, April 15th. I also paid for the installation service.
Immediately after installation, the fridge began making unusual and disturbing noises. I mentioned this issue directly to the installer, who assured me the noise was normal and would stop shortly. Unfortunately, not only did the noise continue, but it has become louder and more frequent.
I sent a video of the issue to the installer, who responded that he would return the next day to inspect it. I followed up via text on Wednesday, and he confirmed he would come in the afternoon. He never showed up, nor has he responded since.
On Thursday, I contacted your customer service to report the situation. I was told that you would reach out to the installation company and get back to me. After receiving no update, I called again yesterday, and was told the same thing — that a message had been left with the installation company and that there’s nothing more you can do. I was also promised a callback between yesterday and today, but once again, I have not been contacted.
This is simply unacceptable.
I chose this particular fridge for two reasons:
- I was informed it was a silent model, which is clearly not the case.
- It comes with a 7-year warranty, which gave me confidence in the product’s quality and in your after-sales service. Brand EPOQ, Elgiganten InHouse Brand.
Sadly, both the product and the service have fallen short of these promises. The fridge is brand new and already showing signs of poor quality, and your lack of follow-up and action has left me very disappointed and frustrated. We have now had to live with this situation for over a week, with a constant, disruptive noise in our home.
I have attached a video to this email where you can clearly hear the unacceptable noise the fridge is making. It is evident that this issue requires immediate attention, and it is simply not acceptable that no one has intervened by now.
I would like to make my position very clear:
I demand that the fridge be picked up and that I am fully refunded, including the cost of installation. I expect a response to this message within 72 hours, or I will escalate this case to Forbrugerrådet Tænk, the Danish Consumer Ombudsman (Forbrugerombudsmanden), or the Center for Complaint Resolution (Center for Klageløsning) for further action.
