I was visiting the branch in Viby Megasyd yesterday. Upon checking out, the salesperson said I could get a 500kr discount if I tell him which electricity company I use. It was very confusing as the products I was buying has nothing to do with it. He was very pushy and didn’t explain the discount.
He later asked his colleague for help and I realized he was browsing at the Andel Energi new customer page. This whole thing was extremely uncomfortable and I started to question him that if he was trying to change the electricity company I subscribed to, to Andel Energi.
It turned out I was right, in order to get the discount, he must convert my electricity subscription to Andel Energi. Then I told him that it is not necessary as I will be moving soon. The story didn’t just end here!
He started to ask where I will be moving to and don’t I need a new electricity subscription at the new place, why don’t I want to convert to Andel Energi, what benefits did I get with my current electricity subscription…..
All in all, the whole time for this purchase was very unprofessional. First of all, the detail of how to get the discount was never mentioned by him, and I never asked for this 500kr discount. This way of scamming customers is horrible, extremely desparate!
Consent from the customers is very important, you can’t just assume 500kr will make everyone want to change to another electricity company.

I just went there to purchase a few items and i wanted to know about a deal. After waiting for ten minutes and getting my serial number the sales from the beginning seems giving racist look and even after asking one question he showed me a big crap screen to find out by myself. What in the earth that was!! You guys need to train your employees! Otherwise it's going to cost you slowly as it did today i went there with full pocket and came back after seeing a racist salesman attitude.

We bought a TV recently and had it delivered and the delivery is such a scam, we paid 300dkk to have it delivered to our home which is an apartment up one not very long flight of stairs, nobody told us they wouldn't bring the delivery up into the house of the person getting a delivery (considering the price we definitely thought it was implied) or that you had to help carry a TV with an employee, I (female) am not very tall or strong and was alone at home and had to help carry a heavy TV, and had to leave it sit in our stairwell where it could've gotten stolen, and had to wait for my boyfriend to come home so we could get the TV inside the apartment, why offer such a stupid delivery service at all? I will probably never buy anything from here again, also the one for all TV wall mount we got, we mounted on the wall leveled but it is crooked somewhere on the way so the TV is now at an odd angle, it was recommended by an employee on the store, and it was a really bad recommendation, definitely don't trust them !

Bad experience in Elgiganten Viby J. Sunday, 18 August 2024, hours 16:30 to 16:45. I was just looking at some products when suddenly with absolutely no reason Hamid and Osama insisted on inviting me out of the store without any explanation! I just asked for a reason, but they haven't given me any reason, Absolutely no reason! It's I from some shop assistants! More ,the rest of the Danish shop assistants had no reactions! Elgiganten you are not on a good way! Very bad customer service!

I ordered an Ice.Machine on Sep 8 (morning), and the online ordering system promised delivery on Sep 10.
Received NO information on Sep 9, nor or Sep 10, and finally I had to call on Sep 12 to find out whats going on. They claim now it was shipped on Sep 13.
Terrible service.
Don't promise delivery dates if you cannot manage it.

We have bought an oven which was supposed to be for delivery by June 25th. Then delayed to July, then to September 15th, further to Oct 19th, and now it is November 19th (they still cannot prommise). With the delay from September to October, no one from customer service even contacted to inform which we found out ourselves.
Here comes the worst service: we have been visiting the store a couple of times talking to the sales responsible for 1) asking for a fair compensation 2) asking for a temporary solution. It should be understandable what extra costs we would be facing wihtout a over for almost half year! The attitude from the sales responsible was very nice and he was helpful. However, he could not make decisions of offering us a temporary oven and more compensation. So he informed his manager would call us. Sadly it seems his manager did not even bother to call us at all. After I have complained so angry to both customer service and the store. Finally, the manager called. What he said can be concluded into 3 sentences: 1) We should not get compensation at all and if anyone from customer servce promised, they were too nice. So the compensation given by sales responsible before apperently was a mistake 2) There is no temproray oven, we must buy it if we want one 3) If we cannot wait, simply cancel the order and buy elsewhere. It is not their fault that oven is not delivered. It could never be. Either we should just wait wiht patience or cancel the order.
Seriously???? After waiting for 4 months, this is the response we get?? Don't know what more to say...

As it was written below, I got call from Luna at customer service who really wanted to help and showed a good care. Unfortunately I was informed the Bosch oven would be delayed to January, 2022 and in Elgiganten's system my order was simplycancelled without indicating why. I would not say it was done by the store in Viby J however I did remember, the manager back then gave me a very "useful" suggestion which was "if I were you I would have cancelled the order. I think the best is you cancel the order". In any case, what a big surprise to hear and so "lucky" I wrote on Trustpilot so this was noticed by customer serivce. Otherwise i would have waited until Janurary 2022 for nothing!
At the end I found an Electrolux oven as an alternative. It was available, so I got it changed to this oven by the great help of Luna and her great service. I am very glad to get this help and finally got the problem fixed. Oven was delivered Oct 22nd, 2021. The customer service is really good.
Just want to write down the story by fact in a fair way. I would like to continue buying from Elgiganten should I need anything else in future. Customer service is great. But I will never imagine myself to buy anything from the shop in Viby J again. What a place.

I've ordered from Elgiganten three times, and three times they messed things up. Not recommended unless you like wasting your time with their extremely poor customer service. Support was non-existent online, and accusatory and impolite in store.
