Clean car, messy process: get the OTD in writing first
Bought a 2026 Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy AWD at Elk Grove Hyundai on Sept 10, 2026. The car and the final number were fine. The path to get there was not.
Fernando Robles quoted $64,230 out the door by text, then refused to put that number in writing. He said come in on his word and that he did not want the price shopped. He also did not tell me he would be off, so when I arrived I spent more than 30 minutes re-explaining the whole deal to a new salesperson and a manager who had no paper from him.
Caelin Boeschen picked it up and handled it the right way. Professional, no games, and we got to a clean pencil: discount on the car, rebates applied, zero dealer accessories.
Finance still ran the full upsell after I had already said no add-ons. Warranty, GAP, prepaid service, over $5,000. I declined all of it. That room does not need to pretend they did not hear “no extras” two days in a row.
If you shop here, get the out-the-door price in writing before you drive over, and ask who will actually be there. The vehicle we bought is what we wanted. The process depended entirely on which person you got.
