I had an extremely disappointing experience with Elm Tree Motors. I financed a car just over six months ago, believing I was making a reliable purchase. Unfortunately, while driving recently, smoke began pouring out from under the bonnet. I immediately contacted the dealership, only to discover that the £300 one-year warranty they sold me covers virtually nothing.

Upon inspection at an independent garage, the car was diagnosed with two oil leaks, ripped rear suspension bushings, and a leaking shock absorber. The mechanics confirmed that these issues did not develop in the short period I had owned the car and that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. Despite contacting the dealership around 12 times, I never received a single call back. Instead, I eventually received a passive-aggressive email from the owner claiming the problems were minor and dismissing my concerns—even after I explained that I couldn’t get to work without a resolution. Their only response was, “None of these would prevent you from getting to work.”

The total lack of communication and refusal to take responsibility has left me scammed out of £10,000 and facing huge additional repair costs. I highly recommend avoiding this dealership at all costs.

AVOID. Tried contacting multiple times and never got a call back or response. Very disappointed as this garage was recommended but after deep driving through reviews, I’m so glad I didn’t waste more of my time.

A complete experience. Was picked up from the train station prior, the processes were extremely quick, everyone was kind, the car was perfect. The team go completely out of their way to help you, the customer. This is what every company should strive for. It would be hard to find something less than 5* about this company. Just wonderful. So happy, I’ll be driving here every year for my MOT and will definitely buy another car from here before looking anywhere else. Thank you all again. Highly recommend.

Great selection of cars. You can see this place truly care about their cars and customer. The team is really nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend a visit.
