The Orem office of Elwood Staffing is completely useless. I have been signed up with them for 1 month and I have worked a total of 0 hours. They promise to submit your resume for various jobs, but you never hear anything back. Then you go into the office to inquire about a posted opening only to be told there are no jobs available. Yet they have many jobs posted on their website. I think they are only interested in making sure they keep their own jobs. No help at all.

I strongly caution anyone considering working with Elwood staffing agency. My experience was extremely disappointing and ultimately cost me a job through no fault of my own.

The company’s communication was consistently poor—delayed responses, vague answers, and in some cases, outright misinformation. I later realized that this lack of clarity wasn’t just negligence; it felt intentional. Staffing companies make their money from keeping people as temporary workers, not from helping you secure a permanent position. Because of that, they aren’t truly incentivized to advocate for you or ensure long-term success.

In my case, the agency failed to provide accurate information about company policies, which directly led to me being terminated. When I questioned them afterward, their answers were contradictory and evasive. It left me with the impression that they had little interest in transparency or accountability.

If you’re looking for stable, long-term employment, I’d recommend bypassing this agency entirely and applying directly to companies instead. Working with them only left me feeling misled and expendable.

I worked for them for 8 months. They texted me saying that my assignment ended due to an inappropriate conversation. When I asked about an inappropriate conversation, they refused to answer. That tells me it was a lie. I called the main office, and they refused to help me. If I had the mone,y I would sue them.

I worked for this company Elwood Staffing for !! months now and when I didn't get paid for Labor Day I called the Hillsdale Mi. office and was told that I needed 1000 hours to be paid holiday pay. Thanksgiving comes around no holiday pay again called to ask about it only to get told that I needed 1000 hours in 6 months so if I miss any work you did't get your hours in so you get no holiday pay, and you start over again. This place is a big ripe off and other paces offer so much more. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone in Hillsdale Mi. I found much better place to work for. Richard Distin

Rebecca is an awesome recruiter. She always keeps me employed and I really think she has her employees best interest. I have no problem with Elwood staffing and Bryan thank you for the service the job provided it puts money in my pocket.Texas77802

I should have knows as soon as I was told my advisor name is Karen....well where do I start...they think your a donkey and like to work for free you have to literally kick off to get paid and then it's always hours short and the totally wrong rate ....all they are concerned about is if your available and they lie to the companies about you when you complain about your pay....I was even kept off site so I couldn't inform the managers of what was going on...all in all its the worst agency I've ever come across.... AVOID AT ALL COSTS.... unless you like to work for free

They are the most amazing staff all around so kind n beyond helpful with all things I'm greatful for such an amazing staff they have n to tamera on staff is the most respectful kind n amazing to help me find the job that's best for me I'm beyond thankful for all they have done for me deff a referred in my book they are great at there job

Upon walking in the door of of Elwood Staffing, I was greeted with genuine warmth. and enthusiasm from recruiter Irasema Acung.. she was knowledgeable and sharing information about certain employment opportunities. I got the feeling she sincerely wants my visit to Elwood Staffing. Experience to be a very good one. I am going on the interview of the job site. Been interested in. I think you so much.Irasema!!

Karla is definitely the sweetest most caring person I’ve ever been hired by she took the time to figure out a job for me that works for me the hrs and all I appreciate her a lot and this is definitely how everyone including me should be working for companies like this.

What went wrong is the manager for Elwood her name is Amy she will screw u over if u try and get a full time position. Kinda like ok if I can't have u and take ur money for the work ur doing then the company in whole can not have you. This is the one referral to Knoxville TN. Do not waste ur time with them awful staff place. You will get screwed over by her.

They hired me with a waiting period and then I was only giving 45 minutes to 3 hours of work the first week of each assignment for set up/orientation. Wasn't concerned about putting you in a job that you would be happy in. Find a job on your own. Not only will it pay more, but you also won't have to deal with their lack of concern for those who genuinely are looking for a job that they would be happy in with a full-week paycheck the first week. You are held to very stick guidelines to get the pay that the company offers their hires from day one.

don't even waste your time with these lazy, ungrateful, worthless temp services. Let them call themselves whatever manipulative thing they want, they are literally making big money off your check hourly to KEEP YOU OUT OF FULL TIME JOBS

I went there and had a warm welcome by Stephanie Martin. She was very nice and talked to me about everything and help me under stand what all we was doing. Miss Stephanie was a very nice and sweet lady.

I got a job right away, but after a while i started having troubles with my checks. I would call to get them figured out and they would start chewing me out like it was my fault. I would recommend any other staffing agency other than elwood.

So my bf and I worked at ar logistics through elwood. We ate bad chinese and called in in april at the beginning of the pandemic. Elwood said that ar logistics said in light of the pandemic to stay home unless we get a doctor note clearing us of covid 19. This was impossible we told Elwood. The test sights didnt take walk ups and doctors are all closed so please find us work if not ar...somewhere. They said alright. My bf just today was denied unemployment because Elwood told them that he had quit on his own accord. We are devistated. We called them and they lied and denied it. So DWD lied, right? Um...no. Horrible to lie and he worked hard for you. So did I and I got MY unemployment. How didnt he?? We were the SAME case. Shame on elwood. And during this hardship...We know that god will provide for us..as for our being without means and having to barrow...god will fix you.

I have applied to several different jobs with this company and no call back no email no responsibility take by this company. So reduculous and disrespectful to good possibile employee.

Avoid this place at all costs! They are extremely unprofessional and it is insane how they just misplace people's stuff! I had an assignment working at a call center where I was issued a cubicle. I brought in some items of sentimental value to sit on my desk. After my assignment was over on 01/23/18, Elwood said that they would send a manager from the staffing company to pick up my belongings. WEEKS LATER, even now, they have yet to locate my stuff!! Everyone has been giving me the run around as to where it is and no one has been sincere about helping me locate my items. Why would they move anyone's belongings without notifying them anyway?! Very unprofessional if you ask me! Also, the pay that they offer for the kind of work that you do is not worth it! You're a lot better off just going somewhere else.
