Unprofessional

Emagine (Norway) posts an assignment on LinkedIn very well knowing (and later explaining on the phone) that there is zero chance for anybody to get into consideration for the assignment as it is already manned by an external consultant from a competing company (contract just needs to be renewed for technical reasons).

Sneaky

They contacted me about a contract role, fees were to be hidden in the contract that were not my responsibility, and they wanted my answer within 1.5 hours - likely so I did not have the time to realise.

I'd give it zero stars if I could

I'd give it zero stars if I could. Applied for a contract through them and never got any feedback. No, 'Sorry, you have been unsuccessful this time.' Nothing. It's bad etiquette like this that give employment agencies a terrible name. Lee Blackburn in HR, you are terrible at your job. Same treatment meted out to a friend who also applied.

Avoid like the plague!
