Embers Turners Hill
Embers Turners Hill.
This place has no facilities whatsoever.
No electricity, no water.
There are 4/5 small shower cubicles, 4 loos and 2 urinals.
They're clean though.
Once you unload your car you need to drive it to the car park because otherwise "the grass gets ruined", so we were told.
By doing two trips, one for unloading and the other to load before you leave, you have driven on the same piece of grass 4 times instead of 2, maths is not an opinion.
The ground is extremely uneven and there are holes everywhere.
A very good inflatable mattress is essential.
This place is not family friendly.
If you intend to have some fun, go somewhere else, however, if you just intend to sit miserably in your cheap camping chair and read a book, you'll love this place.
We went there with 6 other families, a group of about 25 people.
Some miserable sad campers complained about us having fun and laughing loudly.
This happened both days we were there.
The staff had to come and explain that some people go camping to be quite, not to enjoy themselves.
Never heard of that.
The forest around there is very good though, it pays to have a long walk and just relax in nature.
I don't understand why they accept large groups when they want just a miserable silent camp site.
One word each between 25 people makes a noise, let alone if you're having fun and lough.
Anyhow, it's not somewhere I'd go again, even if free.
Too many rules, no facilities and only suitable for sad people who don't know there are parks local to them where they can go for free and read their book.
