The Meals Are Awesome

I have to say that I was skeptical when I signed up for the free trial! But, so far I have been impressed with the ease of ordering food and great taste of the meals.

I love eMeals!

I love eMeals! I get to choose from a wide variety of meals each week. EMeals puts it all together, gives me a shopping list, and then sends the shopping list to Walmart. My kids are happy with the different things I have been making. I am happy that I don't have to think about what I am going to make each day. I also save so much time (and money) by not having to go into the store to get food!

I gave 4 stars because

I gave 4 stars because I often struggle with the app. When I'm in a hurry to make my shopping list, often times it won't load or won't load my meal plan. That is my only dissatisfaction with emeals. Otherwise I LOVE it! I can chose the number of meals a week I need, I can save my favorites, and I can change or leave out certain ingredients (I just don't add them to my list). I have used emeals for almost 10 years. I have and will continue to recommend it. Thank you!

They take advantage of people

They take advantage of people. I was a paying customer for two years. They charged me an annual renewal two days ago without giving me any notice that the renewal was approaching. The charge is pending on my credit card and I sent an email requesting they cancel my subscription because I no longer need it or use it, and reverse the charge. They refused. I can cancel now which ensures that I won't be auto renewed in June 2026, but now I'm just out the money for a service I won't be using. You'd think after being a customer for two years without complaint, they would have some consideration for people. They just want to take your money and run. Absolutely intentional to not notify customers that their subscription is renewing soon.

Interesting Concept That Falls Flar

I was very intrigued by the concept of this app but it has fallen short. I appreciate using whole and home grown ingredients to supplement my meals. After a 14 day trial I errored on the cancelation and am now stuck with a $100 membership that is not helpful to my family. If you like to use pantry staples this is NOT the service for you. Even the simple recipes use bizarre ingredients.
The customer service is also atrocious. I recognize that I miscalculated and was 1 day late to cancel my trial. There is no phone number (the one that does exist just tells you to use the online option) and they were absolutely unwilling to offer any form of solution. While it was my fault for missing the cancelation date, for the ridiculous cost it would be nice to at least have access to some form of accessible customer service

Long time subscriber to Emeals

I am a long time subscriber to Emeals. Originally, the service built menus based on the local sales pages of local grocery chains. I loved that it was both budget conscious and did the work of planning menus for me. I printed weekly menus and stored them in a binder. I still had to do the shopping, but the menu and list was generated for me. As a busy homeschooling mom of four, I did not have the bandwidth to menu plan on top of all my other responsibilities and Emeals helped so much.

I have come to enjoy and rely on the menu planning, as it offers a wide variety of recipes and new ideas all the time. I still use it consistently, even though the kids are grown and gone. They have developed an app which will link to your instacart account and you can do all your shopping from home and have your order delivered right to your door. What a time to be alive!!

Make meal planning easy!

I've been with eMeals for many years and it's just gotten easier and better through the years. Ideas, recipes, ability to save, fill into my weekly menu plan and puts all ingredients into my list with the click of a button. Then you can go in and revise your shopping list for those ingredients. It even tells you which recipe the ingredients are for. Then you can send it to your store or just shop for yourself. I don't know what I would do without my eMeals subscription!

This app is amazing

Its so easy to figure out what's for dinner, make my shopping list and send it to Wal-Mart for delivery. The sheer variety of recipe choices is amazing, and I love the fact that I can save my favorites to make again later.

Convenient!

I had been ordering the food boxes from various delivery companies and was fairly happy. But my husband kept asking why I never cooked any of our "family" recipes any more. This was a perfect answer to that issue. Not only are there plans that give great recipe ideas, but I can import my own personalized ones as well! AND, what makes it even better is that all of the ingredients in the recipes transfer directly to my Walmart grocery account. SO easy! As far as cost is concerned, it's very reasonable. The whole year was about the cost of one food box.

Fraudulent charge

I’m extremely disappointed with this company. They signed me up for an auto-renewal without clear consent or adequate notice, then refused to issue a refund when I contacted them immediately after being charged. It's frustrating and feels intentionally deceptive.

I didn’t receive any reminder before the charge, and their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive when I explained the situation. This is not how you build trust or long-term customer relationships.

I strongly recommend others be cautious before doing business with them. Check the fine print—clearly, they count on people missing it.

This app is not as advertised

This app is not as advertised - $156 for my first order which I did not place - I have NEVER paid that much for a week of groceries. It had double items on the order - I cancelled the order before it was placed. Overall very disappointing first impression - am cancelling this.

Variety and flexibility

I love the flexibility and variety of eMeals. There have only been a couple of meals out of 30-40 that we have not loved. And those were "okay." This has made my meal planning and prep streamlined, and then add the pickup or delivery, and what is not to like! It has been a Godsend during a time of sickness in our family. Thank you.

INVESTIGATE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

If I could give less than a one star I would. When you go to the site you have to enter in your information before looking at the plans. DON'T DO IT!!! I was stupid for looking at them. I did not sign up because it was not what I thought it was. It may be great for others, just not for me. My complaint is with the lack of customer service. I did not know what it was when I noticed a 108.00 charge. I had to investigate just to know what it was. No phone or chat customer service. You can google and get a number but it instructs you to email. The standard answer is no refunds, sorry.

The only way this company makes money…

The only way this company makes money is by you forgetting that you signed up for a trial. The service itself is kind of a joke. You pay $100 a year, which they charge all at once, for access to their recipes. However, you can just get recipes online. This service does nothing for convenience or anything to add value to your life. They're hoping that you forget to cancel your trial, most businesses will send you an email reminder when your trial is close to ending, but this place certainly will not. When I started my trial I thought emeals was something different than it actually is. Unfortunately, all it is is a very expensive online recipe source. You can send your shopping list from the app to local grocery stores to pick up, however, making a shopping list to pick up at a local grocery store is pretty easy to do in your own. Plus most grocery store apps have their own recipes that you can upload the shopping list for free. Stupid me for not canceling in time and having to pay $100 for this joke of a service.

Deceitful and Poor Customer Relations

Apparently I signed up for a subscription to this service in 2013. I had no idea. I recently learned I had been charged yearly $58. That's right almost $700 later. I contacted the company but customer service was very unhelpful and unsympathetic to my situation. I didn't even know what this company was. I have not visited this website since 2013. And yet even though emeals can see I have not logged on to their website they happily took my money every year. They not only took my money every single year but did so without notifying me first. The fee was charged on my credit card. This is how these companies do it. They hook you with the free trail and hope you forget about it! That is what emeals did to me. The customer service was even more appalling than the theft itself. They refused to work with me, thanked me for my stupidity and wished me a happy day. They did nothing to help rectify the situation. They did not apologize for being deceitful and tricky. How many more people are being suckered out of $58 dollars a year. I will be reported you to the BBB. I think it is appalling that you will not refund my money especially since I received absolutely no benefit of your service. I would pass 100 times on choosing this company. Poor customer relations and deceitful.
