Energybank Systems Horrendous After Sales Service

It was early March 22 when I heard on a local radio station an advertisement for Energybank Systems. As my father already had a 4KW solar panel system already installed nearly 10 years prior by a different company, I was giving serious thought to having a battery installed. I contacted Energybank Systems and was promptly called back by Colin Taylor. After this call I was sent a quote from Colin via a txt message for the installed cost of a Hybrid Sunsynk inverter and Sunsynk battery, plus pictures of systems he had installed and ones he was working on. All very interesting at showing me what my system could look like. We agreed on a price, and I paid half of it as deposit. Months went by and eventually it was installed on 21st June by RAL Energy.
Both the Sunsynk products and the installers are excellent, and I would have RAL engineers back again. However the after sales service from Energybank Systems is what really lets this business down.
Once I paid the installers and then the balance to Energybank Systems, trying to get hold of Colin or anyone else for that matter to go through the setup of the installed system was and still is like getting blood from a stone. (The system has a WiFi dongle installed to enable it to be monitored and programmed off site).
I'm Just wanting the system to be set up to what suits our power usage, as it is not that conventional due to my working hours.
It was left on a standard built in programme by the installers, as Colin said he would contact me to set a custom program for it to charge and discharge to suit our usage.
There were several txt mesages sent to Colin Taylor, but promises of he'll call back and sort this out with me have now grown very stale.
On Saturday 10th Sept I txt Colin about a quote for a second battery to possibly enable us to go totally off grid with our electric. He txt me back very quickly asking could he call me on Monday 12th, to which I replied yes and would look forward to hearing from him.
Well it is now 22nd Sept and there has still not been any communication from Colin, so it would seem he not only fails to give customer support after an install, but he is not interested in any future business from an existing customer.
I would steer clear of Energybank Systems solely on their horrendous after sales customer support. The products they sell are excellent, but they can be purchased from other companies, which is what I would do if I was buying them again or advising anyone else who was thinking of purchasing a Sunsynk Hybrid inverter and battery. Just go on the Sunsynk website to see their distributers.
Anyone can learn by their own mistakes, but a wise man can learn from the mistakes of others.
If you have any wisdom, please learn from my mistake and get these products from a different supplier.

SCAM Company - AVOID

My details were passed to Colin Taylor of Energybank Systems in late November 2021 after I decided that the Sunsynk range of products were suitable for me, I had done a lot of research and liked the range of products. Keith Gough (CEO) from Sunsynk passed my details to Colin who rang me back and asked questions about what I required.
I received a quote for a solar and battery installation that I was happy with so I paid a £13,500 deposit to Colin after he mentioned prices would be going up shortly (first red flag!) He promised installation before Christmas 2021! He came to do a survey on 8th of December (his dad had to drive him as he'd lost his licence!, 2nd red flag!).
Since then he has promised me installation dates time after time none of whichever materialised. I asked him to supply the batteries (as we paid for these in full), he made so many promises of having paid Sunsynk for the batteries and they would be delivered but it was all just lies. The lies became more and more ridiculous: he's had COVID at least 3 times, got food poisoning, lost his phone, left it in a hotel, had to attend funerals etc. He employed a new person Luke to deal with all the work! On 7th April, Luke promptly phoned with an installation date of 24th April which later got cancelled as they were training their own installation team.
Colin has never sent over a roof survey or done a solar plan, when I pressed him for one he sent me a spec for a solar panel that wouldn't have fitted on our roof in a way that would have given the desired array size. He obviously knows nothing about it.
Anyway, after a bit of digging on Companies House it looks like this is Colin's modus operandi, set up a company, get loads of sales, fail to deliver and then wind it up, he uses companies that provide registration and secretary services to hide his details and serviced offices to ensure no assets visible. He basically steals your money and then stalls you for as long as he can to keepthe scam going as long as possible, hiding behind a Ltd Company façade.
I am very disappointed in Sunsynk that passed my details to him as an approved installer (they have since removed this) but find it despicable that people can use Ltd Companies in this way.
If anyone wants to know more please look me up on social media and DM me.
I am going to start legal proceedings this week to try to recover the money but history tells me this won't be successful, at least this review might stopothers from being scammed.
UPDATE: He promised to pay me back if I removed the bad reviews left, I thought I might get something back but he just stalled me again with more lies and excuses every week. I should never have believed anything he said as everything he has ever promised has been a lie. If anyone wants to contact me via Facebook please dm me if you want any more info or evidence of the lies and promises Colin never kept!

History Explained.. Why Choose Energybank Systems

As an ex Director and Co founder of EnergyBank Systems (Europe) Ltd I would highly recommend this company. I still maintain regular contact with Colin as although I am no longer a part of the company I still believe Energybank Systems has great products and strong values in terms of focusing on helping their customers achieve their goals to save energy and save money with a future proof solution. EnergyBank systems also pride themselves in providing excellent customer service which is a core value of the company. The only reason I am no longer a Director of Energybank Systems is due to the fact I was already involved with other projects when we launched the business so I made a decision that it would be within the best interest of Energybank Systems for me to step down as a Director as I could not guarantee my full commitment to the company at the time. Colin is running a great business and continues to offer a great product range and is always putting his customers needs at the top of his priority list.. Highly Recommended..

One Happy Customer :)

Extremely happy with our system that Colin and his team at Energybank Systems fitted for us in March 2021.
We had 10 x 355w all black panels, 3 x 2.4kw batteries and a Hybrid inverter.
After serching and getting quotes (7 in total) I didnt feel the other competition had my best interests at heart, be it service, price or the equipment I was being offered.
I work hard for my well earned cash and after a bit of researc, I wanted to have quality equipment supplied and fitted by a company that could also have the back up with all the guarantees, certificates and as a added bonus I get phones call now and again to ask how the free electricity is going! which is reassuring in itself!
Energybank certainly ticked all the boxes, I'm not easily pleased and I usually have a pet hate of sales persons but I wouldnt hesitate to contact these guys, it was an absolute pleasure in doing business with them.
