Misleading & Deceptive Conduct

I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with Energy Ease and their finance partner De Lage Landen Pty Limited.

In June 2020, I entered into a solar agreement with Energy Ease as a guarantor. The agreement explicitly stated that the system supplied would be “a brand new 93KW system.” However, in June 2024, when the system stopped working, I discovered the truth.

After receiving no response from Energy Ease regarding repairs, I contacted the manufacturer, Solis. I was then informed that the equipment had already been manufactured in January 2018 and activated in March 2018. This means the system sold to me was not new, but second-hand, and already out of warranty. This is a clear case of misrepresentation and deceptive conduct.

I formally requested a refund of $119,482.44, but Energy Ease has ignored all communication. Instead of addressing the issue, their finance partner, De Lage Landen Pty Limited, who was brought in by Energy Ease, has continued to aggressively pursue payment and even initiated legal action against me in January 2025, without any regard for the underlying fraud or the defective equipment.

This experience demonstrates a complete lack of business ethics, accountability, and customer care. Selling used equipment as new and then refusing to take responsibility is unacceptable.

I urge anyone considering working with these companies to proceed with extreme caution.

They debit on different days and itsvrejected even when money in account. They are always seeking that you owe more money. they wont give you paperwork what they tell you and what they actually do are separte things and then they dont understand go get a bank loannas itvwill be cheapernin the long run. They add the interest on top of the price payment then charge gst on top of the payment then you have to pay extra fees to so call keep the product you have paid for. Omg save your sanity and avoid them. Dont let the solar company tell you they ate simple amd quick and cheap to deal with.

They are the worst money lenders in the australia that will make you pay all types of extra expenses, you dont even think off. Never advice anyone to sign any contract with them as they can suck your money on the name of saving your money.

The costs saving plans are a lie

The costs saving plans are a lie. You will not save any money on your powers costs by signing up to them. They claim to save you an overall power bill cost but instead you end up paying double what you normally pay. They use a company called Supercharged Energy to do the installs which clears Energy Ease of the liability for the installation going wrong which of course it will as myself plus lots of others are currently experiencing. Save yourself some stress and money and stay clear of them.
