Poor Support and Poor Service

It's hardly surprising from a Tucows company, but Enom are very poor at what they do. I have given this a 2* only because they are not actually (that) "rude" or "unreasonable", they just aren't very good.

It is very easy to give Enom money, but it is very difficult to get proper help when there is an issue - even when the issue is entirely at their end and not your fault in the slightest.

To get a response from support, you have to call and stay on hold for anywhere between 19 minutes (my lowest) and an hour before you can speak to someone, who will no doubt put you on hold for at least another 10 minutes while they look into the issue. If you don't call and wait though, you simply won't get a response.

Tickets that you raise over the phone, via email, or via their hilariously-named "Support Center" will not actually appear in the support center, so good luck keeping track of the status.

They also take a 5% cut of every deposit you make into your funds, even if you use PayPal to top up your account (which only charges Enom a 3.4% service charge - not that they should actually pass that service charge on to you anyway).

If you are choosing a new registrar, don't go with Enom.

If you are with them, consider moving away.

If you really like being treated like you do not matter while you simultaneously fund someone's business, they are definitely the company for you.

I wish I could give them -5

I wish I could give them -5. I've had a reseller account with enom for almost 12 years and in the past year their support is non-existent. They keep changing their support desk software and they don't reply to tickets for weeks. You try the phone and you wait for 1 hour listening to music. I can't rely on a provider like this and I'm going to move away as soon as I can - it's a big pain, but I have no choice. Stay away!

AWFUL!! ZERO Stars is more accurate but sadly not an option.

AWFUL!!! I wish zero stars was an option. My reseller allowed my domain to expire. Enom will only allow me to take over management of MY domain if I pay them $250 for a long term commitment.

If anything goes wrong you can count on bad service and extortion policies as your only recourse. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

Dreadful support, takes them weeks to reply to tickets.

I have been with enom for years, they used to be fairly quick with their customer support, even if not the most competent. But since last year the support has gone down hill and is consistently abysmal.
It takes them weeks or even months to reply to all tickets, no matter how urgent your issue is. If you are having any issue which is stopping you renewing your domain for example and it expires soon, then you are literally screwed, as it will likely expire before they respond and fix the problem.

Getting through on the phone seems to be a mission as well, waiting for 45 minutes seems to be normal.

I have several hundred domains and I am seriously considering moving to a different registrar now.

Unable to quit the program

This is my story. I apparently ordered this domain from enom.com a while ago unintentionally. Anyways that is my mistake, but I have never used the(my) domain. Enom think that is okay.

I just want to clarify, I can't remember why I ordered my domain.

The point is that a month ago I received an email saying that google automatically have debited my account for the google adwords program. Again, I have never used the domain. But why dont I quit it then?

Because it is impossible. I don't know how I should be able to quit the program. I have talked with some customer support, but she doesn't helped me solving my question.

Now they get my money and have got it for two years, without the domain have ever been used. I have never logged in either, at least not for the last two years.

If I were able to logjn a month ago with my login id, I would surely have quitted the program before I got debitted again as told to their customer support. I most say, it is unacceptable and very complex to quit the program and find a person(robot), who can help me with my problems with their service.
