Enterosgel offer

I liked the simple process and speed of delivery of the Enterosgel product that was on free offer for members of the IBS network.
I did not like the fact that the product was not helpful for my condition.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Although our recent UK clinical trial in IBS-D showed it is helpful in relieving symptoms of diarrhoea, abdominal pain, bloating and urgency, and that 76% of patients said it gave them relief of their IBS symptoms, as with all treatments it does not work for everyone. However, it is important to find the right dose for your symptoms and to start with a 21day course of Enterosgel one dose 3 times per day, to see if it can help you manage your symptoms. Enterosgel works by binding the harmful substances that contribute to IBS symptoms and expelling them in the stool, so the effect may not be immediate. Once you have completed the course, you can then tailor your Enterosgel use to your symptoms, as IBS is such a complex condition and symptoms are different for every person. Some patients just take Enterosgel when they have an episode/flare up when they will take the recommended dose, others take it regularly everyday but may reduce the dose to 1-2 doses per day. We hope you will find Enterosgel helpful. Please, email info@enteromed.co.uk if you have any questions

Haven't used the product yet

Haven't used the product yet, but it seems a lot more complicated than just taking a tablet as I usually do.

We hope that after taking Enterosgel you will see why it is a much better and safer option than a drug. Enterosgel removes the causative agents of your symptoms and remains in the gut before being expelled in the stool with all the harmful molecules that it has captured, so it is safe for children and has very few side effects, unlike many other IBS drugs. Also the recent UK clinical study showed that unlike most IBS medications which treat only a single symptom, Enterosgel is an ALL-IN-ONE treatment for diarrhoea, abdominal pain, bloating and urgency.

Great product but taking 2 hours before or after meals is difficult

I've been suffering with IBS for the past 10 years and this actually works for me, helps relieve all symptoms and feel i can go out without having to worry.
My only criticism is the timings around taking it, 2 hours before or after meals is difficult and i have to plan meals around this. I’m having to wake up at 6:30am to take this so I can have breakfast a decent time and then I can take my third dosage around 3pm to be able to have dinner at decent time and go out after.
I’ve heard people take this once or twice a day, what would be the best time to take this if only taking once or twice?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated

We are so pleased to hear that Enterosgel is making such a difference to your life. The Instruction for Use have just changed, and you can now leave 1-2 hours before and after meals which will make it easier to take Enterosgel around meals. We do recommend that for IBS with diarrhoea (IBS-D), for the first 21 days you take Enterosgel 3 times per day to make sure that you get the most benefit, then you can tailor your daily dose to your individual symptoms. Most people can reduce their dose to 1-2 times per day or some just take it when they have a flare up in symptoms. We hope this advice will make it easier to keep taking Enterosgel and continue to benefit from the relief of all your symptoms.

A Rather Disappointing Result:

A Rather Disappointing Result:
I found the 2 hours required before and after eating quite difficult to plan and unfortunately the gel didn’t have a huge impact on my IBS. The only benefit I noticed was that the smell of my liquid stool was slightly less noxious- I have continued with another gel product with similar claims but only one hour required before or after food - I have bought one more tube of your gel which I shall continue with now I have finished the Silicogel. I am also taking probiotics now and about to try some gut focused hypnotherapy. I have ruled out other causes such as coeliac disease and have had a colonic CT scan which showed no abnormality. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to try your product.

Sorry to hear that you didn’t receive the results you were expecting. The Instruction for Use have just changed, and you can now leave 1-2 hours before and after meals which will make it easier to fit around meals. We do recommend that for IBS with diarrhoea (IBS-D), for the first 21 days you take Enterosgel 3 times per day to make sure that you get the most benefit. If you find Enterosgel helps you manage your symptoms, then you can tailor your daily dose to your individual symptoms. Most people can reduce their dose to 1-2 times per day or just when they have a flare up in symptoms. Enterosgel can work well alongside probiotics, as it can remove the bacterial toxins from bad bacteria which stop the good bacteria from establishing. We hope that if you continue to use Enterosgel you see an improvement in your symptoms.

We are sorry that Enterosgel was not able to help your symptoms, as with all medications it will not work for everyone. However, it is worth trying for 2-3 weeks at least 2 doses per day, as in our recent trial 76% of patients said it gave them relief of their IBS symptoms including diarrhoea, pain, bloating and urgency.
