This is about the Wellingborough…
This is about the Wellingborough office.
The manager there, and apologies his name escapes me, was very helpful with my purchase of my recent rental. Initially rented on line but needed to extend for family crisis reasons. I felt that he listened and understood my predicament but the face to face conversation is a bonus. I’ve had some difficulties in the past, with car problems as I always rent through enterprise but couldn’t fault this manager…
Cancelled my booking without refund
Got a call telling my booking would have to be cancelled, because they couldn't associate me with my address and I didn't have a credit card I was upset but whatever, however they never even cancelled my booking, and three weeks later I still have no refund. If they finally get my refund to me I may amend my review but would maybe be two stars instead of one. Judging by other reviews it's unlikely I'll ever see that money again either way avoid this provider at all costs.
Edit: finally got a refund, the day I would have returned the vehicle, I got a call asking why I had not picked it up, they claimed the person who had called me was an intern, a few days later I did get a refund but I still wouldn't book with them again.
I hired a car from Enterprise at London Heathrow
I hired a car from Enterprise at Heathrow airport from the 10th to the 15th June 2026.
The hire agreement I signed on picking the car up was for £377.75.
I returned the car with a full tank of fuel on the 15th of June, the guy who checked the car said everything was fine, and I would receive my receipt by email.
The receipt I received, and the payment which was charged to my card was for £532.76, with unexplained additional charges.
I tried contacting customer services, including sending an email, but no response whatsoever.
I am absolutely disgusted with this company, and however much they say they value my custom they won't see me again.
Unbelievable rip off.
Hired a van which had dodgy gearbox
Hired a van which had dodgy gearbox . Upon inspection on return a nail was observed in a tyre - which they could not prove was not there before we hired van- was charged for it anyway .
Staff not very understanding or informative .
Avoid
Awful
Awful. Battersea enterprise has almost tripled the cost by claiming tyre damage that could easily have been there when we picked it up- and we’d got the extra insurance cover. Charged us £330 for a tyre. And don’t respond to emails.
Avoid at all costs. Sixt much better.
The booking system that's a scam.
On Wednesday I booked a van to be collected on Saturday. I am helping my daughter move flats and she has to be out by Sunday. The booking was accepted and confirmed by e-mail. I got a phone call at 18:30 on Friday evening to say that they don't have a van. Too late for me to find an alternative. My daughter now faces the prospect of having her furniture dumped on the street. As this is the second time that this has happened in 3 months, I am beginning to think that this is policy. Take the fee knowing that no vehicle is available, when done multiple times a day it becomes a massive interest free loan. It is also fraud.
Avoid!
The facts:
- I booked a car on their website on the 24 June AM.
- I received my booking confirmation by email.
- I went to the Paddington agency to collect the car at the agreed time.
- After queuing, showing all my papers, I paid c £50 for the car and £200 for deposit.
- I was then said there was no car for me and that the branch manager will call other customers to understand at what time a car might be available for me. Unbelievable!
- I could not wait so I had to cancel
- I sent a complaint. Still no answer. And I am still waiting to get my money back.
Disappointing experience at Birkenhead Enterprise
Disappointing experience.
The vehicle was handed over around 30 minutes later than my booked collection time, which almost made me late for an event I had specifically hired the car for. When I finally received the vehicle, it had just been cleaned and was still wet, making it difficult to properly inspect the condition of the car and tyres.
On return, I was told there was damage to a tyre sidewall and was charged for it. The staff member was helpful, but it was frustrating as the vehicle had been returned late by a previous customer that morning, and it seems entirely possible the damage was already present before I collected it.
When given the car the employee was going around the vehicle with a tablet, so I assumed the condition would be documented by them, but I later asked if there was any photos of the car when given to me and there wasn’t. This is partly my fault for not taking photos either, but like I said they had given me the car late.
I would be careful when hiring from here and make sure you take photos and videos before leaving with the vehicle. If any damage is later identified, you may be unable to prove that it was already there before your rental.
Absolutely awful company
Absolutely awful company! Terrible liars also! Shaun sales manager ignorant and lies through this teeth!
We contact flex e rent for a 7.5t lorry two weeks ago for a job we have in Italy. I was told the account would take 7 days to set up 7’days in totally blanked when asking for an update! Contact customer services today to be told account will be active the back end of next week and we need to leave on Monday!
Wouldn’t recommend using this company take your money elsewhere, contact a local company and secured me a truck within 30 minutes!
Avoid – Cancelled on us last minute with zero help!
Avoid – Cancelled on us last minute with zero help! Extremely disappointed with the service at the Memmingen Airport branch. We had a confirmed booking (Reservation 2111453819) made well in advance, only for it to be cancelled less than 24 hours before our scheduled pickup due to their internal supply issues.
Leaving a customer stranded at the last minute with no alternative vehicle or solution provided is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, their customer service and branch staff completely ignored our emails and phone calls when we tried to resolve it.
Because of their failure to honour a confirmed booking, we were forced to find last-minute alternative transport, which cost us an extra €260.32 out of pocket.
Save yourself the stress and travel disruption—book with a rental company that actually guarantees their vehicles. Absolute lack of professionalism and zero customer care.
Safety and security not a priority
To be fair the previous car rental I had was very good. However, the one this week was terrible. The so called upgrade to the car was collected from Bristol airport. It wasnt particularly clean, but such is life. When leaving the complex the noise from one of the wheels was feint, but noticeable. But as I had to be somewhere at a certain time the mindset taken was 'I'm sure they check these things'. It wasnt - wheel wobble, car vibration and a general sense of the car not being safe to drive. It meant that a phone call was made 20 miles out. A promise of a call back never happened so another call to customer service was made where I was told to call roadside assistance. Roadside assistance will not fix this type of problem, but it indicated that the policy at Enterprise seems to be that they'll let the customer drive dangerous cars and let they can get them fixed. I did eventually swap the car, but also discovered that the car did not lock. At what stage does a car with massive wheel wobble and one that doesnt lock pass any sort of check? It seems customer safety and security is not a priority at Enterprise
If you do go with Enterpise, check everything and take it back immediately is any sign of an issue. But for me going forward, I'd rather deal with a company that takes my safety more seriously
Awful
Awful, every time you book they call to say the van won’t be there or we don’t have any vehicles, then to be told you won’t get back what you’ve paid for a few days, previously been given a van with more lights on the dash than a Xmas tree, do not use.
My experience at Enterprise rental in…
My experience at Enterprise rental in Blaine Minnesota got off to a rough start for the lack of customer service but Jace Shields save the day. He came in apologize for our wait and then gave awesome customer service from the rental date and the return of the car that gentleman did good as well. Rental was from May 30th till June 1st 2026 well worth it . Thanks Jace Shields for your kindness❤️
I hired a car from Enterprise Crewe for…
I hired a car from Enterprise Crewe for a week while mine was being repaired. The repair only took 2 days so I was only charged for 2 days. Staff members picked me up and collected me making my life very easy.
Enterprise in Aldershot Illegally Blocking Pavement
Enterprise in Aldershot constantly illegally park their vehicles on the pavement which is a shared path. Zero consideration for any pedestrians.
While visiting the UK
While visiting the UK, I rented an EV van as a gift to my landlord to help move the belongings of her Uni student back home. The team at Enterprise at the Urmston Greater Manchester office were the best and made renting easy and very affordable. Booking was a breeze. The vehicle was ready to go when I arrived, reservation confirmation straight forward and fast. The return was even easier and took less then 5 minutes. 5 stars all the way.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
If you had a zero out of 5 I would score you this.
I had a puncture during my hire and was informed to take it to Halfords and I wouldn’t need to pay.
Halfords engineer didn’t even look at the car and simply ordered a new tyre.
Fast forward a week I get an invoice of £175. £78 of that is admin fee. For what? Pushing a bloody button on your key board.
I called up explaining I was informed I wouldn’t be charged and that I wasn’t given an option to repair or even get it fixed myself.
I was called a liar by enterprises
PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
We booked a car via their app
We booked a car via their app. Everything seemed perfect. Then, four hours later, we got a voicemail saying the car wasn't available and wouldn't be until the afternoon. We called back. Customer service said everything was fine—no issues, we could pick up the car. Ten minutes later, another call came in, but we couldn't answer because we aren't allowed to use phones at work. We called back later... but no one picked up, despite repeated attempts and the fact that they were still open. Yet, in the app they keep recommending, everything looks perfect.
We arrived the next day, only to be told the car wasn't available. We explained that we couldn't answer the earlier call and that no one had answered when we called back—they claimed they were "terribly busy." It turns out booking a car for the next day isn't actually possible because they don't have one. When we asked how it was possible for the app and customer service to allow the booking... they just said, "Well, we told management it should work that way..."
There was no notification in the app advising that for last-minute bookings, it's better to call or go directly to the shop. Customer service and the app seemed great, but the reality was different.
We asked if we could pick it up in the afternoon—since the voicemail mentioned three o'clock—but to our surprise... they didn't even know if they'd have a car available!!
In the 21st century, with everything digital, there was no notification, no record of the problem—it was just terrible. If we hadn't asked for a refund, it wouldn't have even crossed their minds; they acted as if everything had been perfect! Disgraceful!
Disgusted with Enterprise
We rented a van to travel to Niagara Falls, Canada from Enterprise to take our 3 grandkids there for a three day trip. After arriving in Canada at the motel backing in I went to adjust the side view mirror and it fell out of its holder. My wife spent over an hour getting the run around from enterprise employees with no satisfaction then called the Costco credit card company about the unsafe van that we were giving to travel to out of the country. In the rental agreement statement it said that the mirror was damaged and the undercarriage was broken. Arrangements were made that cut our vacation short so that we could exchange the van in Buffalo for a safer vehicle to return home. Returning the van in Mentor an Enterprise representative asked what he could do to make it 'right'. I told him to call my wife and Jeff never did. Two weeks later our credit card was charged for the entire amount. We are now disputing the charge. We were inconvenienced by Enterprise and denied any respect as a valued customer. Thomas Kovacic
Brentford outlet - manager is awful & teaches his staff to behave badly
Brentford outlet - Worst customer service I've ever experienced!!! I am entitled to car hire through insurance & that insurance company had organised everything with this Enterprise outlet but the manager at this outlet stated he was acting on behalf of the insurance company (complete lie) & that I wasn't entitled to car hire. I argued with him that he was WRONG & he couldn't make decisions about car hire for an insurance company that had already agreed to pay for it!!! He was rude, a complete pompous degenerate & hung up on me. I then called the insurance company who confirmed HE WAS WRONG. He did indeed have to honour car hire & the insurance company had organised it. Even the insurance representative said "I don't know what they're playing at" - it seems utter stupidity is what their game is!
Enterprise should be horrified that the manager here is letting down the company's reputation, causing problems with their business affiliates (insurance companies) who will take their business to another company altogether because of such horrible service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS AT ALL.
