I would rate them a zero star if that…

I would rate them a zero star if that was an option. Spent money to go out of town just for enterprise to give us the run around after making a reservation days ahead to pick up a car. They until the day of that they have no vehicles a hour before pick up and they will let me know when they have some available by a certain time. They never called back! Procrastinated until closing time. Plans ruined money wasted trash!! 😒

Car fire almost killed my us

Enterprise (Basil Airport) provided us with a car that literally burst into flames on the 2nd day of our trip nearly killing the four people in our party.

Despite the seriousness of the incident Enterprise don’t seem to care and have made everything incredibly difficult. They eventually offered us a replacement car the next day after we complained on social media, but the replacement was 100Km away. They didn’t offer any help in getting there despite us now being stranded in the middle of nowhere.

We’ve yet to receive any kind of apology or resolution to this whole issue and thus far Enterprise have treated us like dirt.

Enterprise LLC will make unauthorized charges on your credit card

My husband and I were in a car accident in June 2025. We are elderly and feel that we have been violated by Enterprise LLC corporate office and their staff. We are hoping that we can get a resolution to this unscrupulous, negligent, unprofessional and inappropriate situation with your help. We deem it to be elderly abuse as well as misusing our money for financial gain. They have stolen money and blatantly ignored us refusing to return it. Our car was repaired at a shop near the Decatur branch in Ga. I picked up the vehicle which was paid by the at fault insurance company. While walking around the vehicle, the Enterprise rep/salesman asked if I wanted to purchase additional liability insurance coverage which I declined initially. After the rep recommended more coverage due to all of the reckless driving that goes on in the state of Ga. I later consented and have regretted it. This coverage was for 4 days for $12.99 per day. My vehicle was not ready at the repair shop so the at fault insurance company called Enterprise to extend my rental for another 6 days and then informed me. Enterprise took the liberty and charged my credit card an additional $100.94 without my permission. There was no indication that my card was charged on the receipt issued when I dropped it off. I believe my card was charged after I returned the car late that evening on August 6, 2025. The receipt contained the return of my deposit only which was expected placed back on my credit card account and return clearance. I have rented vehicles before at different Enterprise branches and had never had any issues. The customer service reps always state that your credit card will not be charged and that your money will be refunded once the car was returned. No charges will be incurred unless there is damage to the vehicle or the gas is not full when the car is returned. I tried to contact Enterprise by phone once I realized there was an extra charge on my cc and was told by a rep that this is how they processed additional rental days even though they do not have the customer's consent. He told me that a manager would contact me but no one contacted me. I went to the branch where this transaction occurred and asked to speak to the manager. I spoke to the manager and he apologized and confirmed that he would get the matter resolved. He explained that it was a process that would take about a month. He told me that he would send a email requesting that my bank would apply the balance owed to me to my cc account. I told him that the credit card was cancelled because of the unauthorized charges that were placed on it by Enterprise so that no other charges would be incurred. My bank told me that they would do an investigation on it because it was considered fraud without my permission to use it. The bank did an improper dispute with Enterprise and dismissed my claim because of incompetency on their part. The manager in the Decatur office told me if the credit card no longer exists then a check would automatically be mailed to me but that didn't happen. This is when I went to that Decatur branch the 3rd time telling the assistant manager what the manager told me. He showed me the email that he sent to get this issue processed. Nothing ever happened after 3 trips to that Decatur branch wasting so much of my time and I had been given so many promises that were just lies. Finally, after the manager had spoken to the manager he stated that it was nothing that could be done by them after I was in the office about 4 hours for the 3 trips combined. I asked him for the corporate contact so that I could contact them myself. My request was declined. It was apparent to me that this was going to drag on and on. I was given a personal email address by the assistant manager regarding him contacting me when the corporate office contacted him. I emailed him twice after waiting a couple of weeks but he never contacted me at all. I knew that this was another futile effort. I attempted to look up the Enterprise corporate office and called a number listed on the website which is 855-266-9565 and I spoke to 3 different customer service representatives that gave me unrealistic time expectations that I would receive a call to resolve this refund issue. The first and 2nd rep told me that I would be contacted in 48-72 hours. The 1st rep also told me that this contact number was the highest office to contact because the corporate office does not accept calls in any circumstances. The 2nd rep. told me that she would place an urgent notice on it in lieu of the time since August 2025. The 3rd rep stated that it would be 10 days. We feel that should Enterprise should give us an accommodation because it is warranted. My husband and I would like to thank you for your assistance with this matter. Sincerely, D.L. Shelton and C. Shelton

Left stranded with 4 young children.

We booked and paid in full on 7.1.26 for a 9 seater vehicle for the period from 13.02 to 20.02.

We arrived at the counter to collect the vehicle at 18.15. This was a result of a two hour plane delay, an aborted first landing and then a four hour queue for border control. All of this with 4 young children.

The agent told us that because we were delayed and had not called to confirm what time we would be there (which would have been impossible because we didn’t know how long the immigration queue would be) our vehicle had been given away to someone else. We were extremely shocked and disappointed by this. We booked and payed in advance with a well known brand such as Enterprise to give us confidence that on our arrival in Poland we would have no transportation issues.

We asked if he could provide an alternative large vehicle. The answer was no. We asked if he could provide 2 smaller vehicles instead for our party of 8 people. The answer was no.

To note that once we stepped off the airplane we were immediately taken to the queue for immigration and the use or a phone in many countries at this point is strictly forbidden.

The General terms and conditions of rental in Poland, the FAQs from the enterprise Poland website and the details given once you click ‘policies’ during the reservation process and nowhere does it state that if if you have paid in full in advance that you need to call if there is a delay or your vehicle will be resold to someone else.

Initially the agent told us that this was clearly detailed in our booking. We showed him our printed booking and section 22 from the FAQs on their website. At this point he changed his story and announced that actually it isn’t in the details because “You should have just known”.

I can potentially understand the logic of reselling a booking for bookings where you reserve a vehicle and pay nothing until collection. For our booking; however, at no point was there a potential loss to Enterprise because we had already paid in full 6 weeks prior. I cannot see how it could be anything other than some kind of fraud/scam.

Section 22 of their FAQs states that even in situations where the plane delay takes you past business hours then the booking would be rescheduled for the following day. It does not state the booking to someone else leaving the original renter stranded.

We did manage to find a hire vehicle from an alternative company but it was more than double the initial booking cost!

The whole experience was awful at the time and the customer support after we returned has been non-existent.

My summary of my experience is that at best this company or at least the branch at Krakow airport is useless and at worst corrupt.

I suspect the latter to be true!

Despite being a large multi national company don’t expect a good service!

Enterprise in Lodi NJ - BEWARE

I was sent to a certified auto body shop by the persons insurance company who rear ended my 2 month old jeep wrangler. They in turn got me a rental car from the local enterprise rental Scam company, renter beware ,apparently I had to learn the hard way everyone there is on commission. If they ask you to buy insurance coverage on ur rental and you are an insured driver You do not need to purchase their coverage, but they will some how convince you that you need it.The next scam will be for you to use their EZ PASS set up instead of your own device, they have caught up to the ubber eats and grub hub menu of their own where Your discount from being an EZ PASS member gets passed on to them.I went to 3 more enterprise locations just to ask each place a simple question, if I rent ur vehicle and I am in an accident as an insured driver do I need to purchase your insurance only 1 of the four places I went to gave me an honest answer Anthony rt17 south Paramus

I’d give this zero if I could.

I’d give this zero if I could.
I arrived at the counter with my debit card and they would not accept that- they only allowed credit cards for the $500.
And I tried changing to a one way destination and they said they don’t have any left.
I had my two autistic children with me- they watched them lay on the floor and cry… they made us shuttle back to the airport and refused to drop us off at a different rental car location.
Also- the car seats they brought out were disgusting and definitely old. Likely not going to be safe-
The WORST review I’ve left in my 44 years of life.

Skip this company

The in-person customer service was fine. However, at Augusta airport, they rented me a 2024 Mazda SUV with no navigation, no apple car play etc. This car was nobody’s rental car. It already had almost $40k miles on it. It was like an old shoe. Just something to use to get around, nothing fancy. Like paying $200 to borrow your cousin’s rundown second car. When I asked to swap, the customer rep on the phone mocked me for expecting what is basic at other companies. It drove fine but was not worth the money at all. Of course it wasn’t clean either. Too many companies out there for me to waste time and money on this one.

I am a retired Detective and have an excellent track record with Enterprise.. To make a long story short, I was a victim of bait and switch, violation of privacy laws, harassment, false arrest and malicious prosecution, civil rights violations, negligence of product liability (right rear axle shaft defect) leading to personal injury and more. I am going to contact the News after my case is over and sue the heck out of them. My Attorneys are salivating. I will make sure that this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing. These people don’t climb to the top, they claw their way up with total disregard for their clients. I’m also going to contact all my contacts with the Police Departments in Florida and advise them of their violations. My name is Athena Sakelos and I’m on a mission to help the innocent consumers. Be well my friends and use caution when dealing with Rental Companies. Stay clear of Enterprise. God bless.

We contacted this agency at Muscat airport and they got us a car with Shair Car Rental. We had contacted them, however, and they turned out to be scammers. Don't use this agency. They are not at all trustworthy and will extort money from you using the unreturned security deposit as an excuse. Scammers

I had a great experience at the Enterprise in Monticello, MN. Ryan helped me with my rental, and he was fantastic — friendly, patient, and really went out of his way to make the process smooth. It’s rare to find customer service this good anymore. I’ll definitely be renting from this location again because of Ryan.
Thank you Ryan

Excellent Customer Service

My husband rented a van from the Barnstaple branch for a day and we can honestly say that the customer service we received was outstanding.
Everything was clearly explained to us and the staff were very friendly, Charlie was the one who saw to us when returning the van but I didn’t get the name of the young lady who initially took our booking. My husband was upgraded to a larger van as there wasn’t a smaller one available, this was at no extra cost to him.
No issues at all.
Absolutely 5 stars.
Will use again if needed.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service. From having been given a dodgy car to begin, now it looks like the car is cloned, and was speeding around Manchester gaining speeding fines, even though it was parked up on my drive. The service received was disgusting, with having to repeat myself every single time. Ive said it several times I want to raise a complaint but it seems to fall on deaf ears. On top of that they wanting to charge me fees!! Avoid.

Upon requesting breakdown charges the could not provide losses that can equate. Further to this they have charges me for fixtures that had nothing t do we me. They further changed dates on documents like invoice to try and fix this .they provided me invoice for dates 6 months prior to my booking . Absolute fraud . I already contacted the police and fraud team who are now investigating . Will be contacting trading standards and British hire and leave association to look in to this . This has cause me distress, financially out of pocket. Affect on my credit score , I’m absolutely shocked the can try and pull a fast one . Please always check the charges and invoice for repairs . Stranded in West Virginia

We reserved a 15-passenger van for 10 days. When we picked it up, we were told that these types of vehicles (a diesel) were having some issues during the extremely cold weather we were experiencing at the time and they were "throwing codes." We were told not to worry.

In rural West Virginia - only a small portion of our trip to Florida completed with four small children, six adults and all of our luggage for a week-long vacation - the vehicle broke down. Enterprise "Roadside Assistance" (using this term VERY loosely - a call center outside of the U.S.) was absolutely TERRIBLE. We were told we'd need to wait for a tow and then find our OWN WAY to the nearest Enterprise location 23 miles away. "Roadside" said they could "call an Uber" for all 10 of us (including four car seats) and our luggage. When I asked how that was going to happen, they said they'd need to call "four or five" which prompted me to ask if they were paying for this. They said, "no, we don't do that."

My next questions was to ask if I could Uber by myself to get the van and bring it back so that we could switch over all of our luggage, car seats and occupants. I was promptly told this would not be allowed because they needed to have possession of the first vehicle before they'd give us a new one.

At this point, we told them to dispatch the tow service and crossed our fingers that the tow truck driver would be kind enough to bring the van to a nearby hotel so that we could unload it. (We had to walk to the hotel from the gas station we were at.) THANK GOODNESS for the tow truck driver who was kind enough to do this for us.

Next, I started looking for Ubers to get me to the nearest Enterprise. Anyone else ever tried to find an Uber in a rural area of the U.S.? Absolutely COMICAL to think that "Roadside" was going to call "four or five" for us, when it took me hours to get ONE to transport me 23 miles. It cost me $40 as well.

Six hours from the time I called "Roadside," I returned to the hotel with the new, SIGNIFICANTLY SMALLER 12-passenger van. As it turns out, "Roadside" who claimed that this location did, in fact, have a similar van did not actually reserve this vehicle for us. When I arrived to get the new van, Cara at the Yeager Airport (shoutout to her, she was great!) told us we were lucky. No one ever contacted them to let them know I was coming AND she had rented the 15-passenger van out hours previously. Luckily, she had a 12-passenger van in the very back lot under inches of ice, and the staff worked tirelessly to get it cleared so we could take it.

I also asked what would have happened if they didn't have a van. Could we have taken two smaller vehicles? Cara told me that, no, Enterprise would not allow that since my contract was only for one vehicle.

When we returned the vehicle to this location, the Branch Manager at this location, Sterling, said he'd "take care of us." Sterling was very understanding, listened to our complaints and apologized for the poor experience. However, I got the impression that it was out of his hands what he was able to offer us in return.

The first offer: our $300 deposit back (which we would have gotten back anyways), a bonus $100, and a free upgrade on a future rental.

I told them about the expenses this experience incurred: a missed Airbnb, a tank of gas never used, two hotel rooms we didn't expect, and an expensive Uber. In total, about $650.

The next offer: our $300 deposit back, a bonus $300 and a free upgrade and free tank of gas on a future rental.

All in all, I blame this location for renting us a vehicle that should have never been rented. I blame Enterprise as a whole for absolutely ATROCIOUS customer service and "Roadside Assistance."
