A while back I wrote a scathing review…

A while back I wrote a scathing review on Envision due to what I considered to be terrible and insensitive treatment by the Southpoint branch in Surrey. Today however I dealt with a senior person out of Kelowna who redeemed Envision and her name is Barb. She actually followed the mission statement that " we want you to have a remarkable experience " and made it remarkably great whereas 2-3 months ago my experience was remarkably bad. So kudos to her for inspiring me to cancel the previous negative review with this instead. Every person or institution deserves at least one chance to redeem themselves.

Not Small Friendly Credit Union Anymore

We have dealt with Envision maple Ridge Branch for many years- Over 20 to be exact. I want to first point out the Maple Ridge Branch is an amazing bunch of People and do an amazing job. I use to tell everyone to go there and do their banking.
I have all my RRSP, Accounts both Personal and Two Businesses and had our Mortgage there as well.
The problem with this Credit union is the Head Office.
So if you are looking for Mortgages, Lending or anything like that go to Dominion Lending or another Financial Institution.
When they use to do all this in the Branch it was a seamless and pleasant experience.
Since they have moved this all to the Head Office it has become difficult and you get treated as a number not a valued customer. Needless to say I am beyond disappointed in the last two interactions with the Head Office.
They should go to Maple Ridge Bank and learn how to deal with Valued Customers!

Etransfer issues, app bugs, etc

9 times out of 10 I get an error message when trying to accept an etransfer and when I call to ask they always just say they don't know and get me to ask the person to re send it which is really annoying since there's often a cancelation fee.

Joke outfit

Joke outfit. I opened an account there and within two weeks because a cheque for $90 got returned NSF and overdrew my account for two whole days they decide to remove the cheque deposit feature on their app and then close the account a mere 72 hours later.
This despite the fact I told them I was going to make a deposit to rectify the issue but this kind of attitude is just a turnoff. They can forget about me clearing the balance up now. You don’t close accounts over one NSF item no matter what.

Trying to get a bank card replacement…

Trying to get a bank card replacement has been a absolute nightmare the people at the call center has no clue how to do their jobs. Been trying to get a replacement bank card since before Christmas looks like it will take into the new year to solve this problem. It speaks volumes when a company has to delete negative reviews on their Facebook page. Most companies I deal with will try to resolve a customer complaint or issue before they delete reviews.

Envision is just another I don't care bank

I have been with Envision for 20+ years. We had our mortgage through them and converted that into a LOC and banking has been fine until Sept 2024 when Envision decided to change our account type to the tru essentials account and start charging us fees. No actual heads up and when I called to have this rectified the only thing I got was well we could have one of our financial advisors contact you and help plan for the future. What a terrible money grab out of the blue, especially when there are so many free banking accounts available elsewhere. Ever since First West took over Envision it has been downhill as the bottom line becomes the norm just like the big banks. Credit Unions are supposed to be for the people but Envision has turned into just another bank that cares little for their actual customers. Too bad, they had a good streak going until First West moved in.

A shame I had to switch banks

I've had envision for a while, and my debit card stopped working out of nowhere. No big deal, it happens... But when I sent them an email asking for a replacement card, I was notified I'd need to visit them in person, or to call. Honestly, the BC government can confirm my identity online, so I don't see why my bank couldn't. I'd have to take time off work to get to a bank during their open hours...
In the end I just decided to open a new bank account with a different bank. They were able to verify my identity online.
