This is one of the worst energy…
This is one of the worst energy providers in the UK. They are devious and rely on an automated system that constantly sends threatening emails and letters if your bill is even a week or two late.
My bill arrives on the 11th of every month, and I pay monthly. I explained to them that I am paid monthly and will settle my bill accordingly, yet the threatening emails continue.
At one point, I only owed £25, and they added another £25 for a debt collector simply because the payment was two weeks late. It seems that because I declined to set up a direct debit—where they can freely take money from your account—they resort to threats if you fall even slightly behind, potentially affecting your credit score.
Stay far away from this garbage scam company. I will be moving to a different energy provider.

Looking to source an Engineer's visit for a replacement boiler ahead of moving to a new home and potentially becoming an E-on customer - What a shambles of an experience today!
6 Calls. Eon 0808 501 5200 inform me I need E-on Heat 0800 054 6250 - This Number is no longer working and it tells me to ring E-on Next on 0808 501 5200 ...whoops, that tells me I need E-on Heat on 0345 302 4312 - oh, this time it's someone in the UK, who struggles to tell me exactly the purpose of their business, except it heats water for homes in London and the Number I do need is 0330 400 1120... Ring that, and it tells you, this Number is NO LONGER IN USE!
USELESS!! However, what the day has reminded me is, why we left E-on many years ago!!!
Sadly, you've lost the opportunity to quote for a new installation and obtaining a new customer. Shocking service!

Very quick and efficient and explained everything clearly when completed.
Wrong advice and engineer type
The telephone agent promptly arranged for an engineer to come out. Based on the information we gave explaining the issue seemed to be with the circuit box. Within about 90 minutes, the engineer arrived. They said they could only assess the meter, and not do anything about the circuit box. We needed an electrician. I thought this could have been identified during the call, which would have meant we could have called an electrician earlier.

Your business is based on having customers and in today’s world you are not capable in doing that. Unable to get a smart reading, my smart meter tells me my supplier Eon with the new rates etc and you can’t get a reading. So now on a fortnightly I have to give a reading.

A really hellish few months with this provider. The customer services Tanya, was pleasant enough but would mis-lead or diagnose queries, provide statements which simply transpired to be inaccurate and unhelpful. I was then sent rude and threatening letters and emails when clearly there was a financial issue. She declined to escalate the matter and I remain in dispute for approximately £265. She just keeps repeating the same mandate rhetoric about helping if it is not affordable. Highly incompetent. I have had to obtain an external auditor to assess the account due to miscalculations. I have never had such issues with providers. Very commercially aggressive provider, avoid if you prefer smoother service. .

E. On needed to replace my smart meter. Ian attended on time and rang to say when he was 20 minutes away. He was friendly and helpful and his colleague who attended for part of visit was also fabulous. No mess left and good explanation. Hopefully will save energy and money

Some clown 🤡 visiting my property today and pretending to be eon worker and saying that I have account with them and is urgent meter plus give me letter to urgent pay £610 for energy usage . Never got any account with them in my life plus property is under heavy renovation since September 2025 . Has no heating system or boiler etc but letter say is gas usage 🤣. They want take me to court and take meter out for what??? As there was not usage from last 6 months. Will give to this to my solicitor to sort them out. Total clowns and scammers, stealing data and open accounts on name with out permission.

I am ill in bed watching the documentaries on this channel and in the ad break a 5 second E ON advert plays over 20 times in a row. This is like torture.
I was a previous E ON customer and I would also like to discuss why I left.
I will never be a customer again thanks to this advert and I will be spreading the message how they have ruined this History Channel on Samsung TV with their ridiculous bombardement of their advert over 20 times every advert break. This is equivalent to torture.
I am asking for an immediate investigation and for this companies advertising rights to be suspended indefinitely.

Not had the greatest time with EON business, however today I got through to the right person. Franco, anyone on EON business ask to speak to him directly, absolutely amazing gentleman. Spent a hour on the phone with me, went through a few details and worked his magic, I won’t get into the specifics but he genuinely was a godsend! A hero without a cape! Thank you again if you ever see this review, I genuinely appreciate all you did today.
