Purchased a pendant and gold chain for…
Purchased a pendant and gold chain for my wife for Christmas.
She wore it twice and the gold chain broke. I took it back to the Stafford branch and asked them my options.
The shop assistant first asked if I took out insurance, which I had not. He then said there was nothing they could do except for charging me £69.00 to repair the chain. Which I declined as extortion.
I made a complaint to their customer service who then denied my claim for some kind of redress.
We took it to a jeweler who has done many previous repairs who is now charging us £17.50 for the repair of the chain.
I would not recommend Ernest Jones to anyone and certainly will not cross their door again.

Two weeks ago I bought a Bremont Jaguar…
Two weeks ago I bought a Bremont Jaguar MK II watch from the Ernest Jones Stratford store.
I was so excited to buy such a valuable watch as a class, as a value, as a brand that I did not pay attention to details. I couldn't even see the details very well as I wear glasses with fairly large diopters.
But when I looked more closely at the pictures I took and when I looked more closely at the watch I saw that I bought from the store an already scratched watch, possibly worn, possibly pre-owned.
I don't care whose fault it is that a scratched Bremont watch it is sold as new in an Ernest Jones store.
In any case, the store manager is not friendly at all and I think it is her direct responsibility to check any product before it is sold.

Very efficient and interested in our wedding which made me feel excited for the big day even with all the uncertainty around it due to the current ongoing pandemic.
