They frequently mentioned issues with the game's performance, including optimization problems, crashes, and bugs, which detracted from their enjoyment. The best, worst game you'll ever play

Well, the game is a great idea ON PAPER. Tarkov gets a lot of love, sometimes what seems like unconditional love, BECAUSE it is unique. Not many game devs are going to even attempt to bring forth the depth BSG has ATTEMPTED to do. For that, you have to give BSG props. They weren't scared to sign up to make a very large game. Try to get someone from Activision or EA to do anything close to this. It wont happen! Tarkov USED to be a game that didn't give a FUGG if you were having fun or not, it was what it was trying to be. Meant for a Niche group of Psuedo-Masochists. The same type of people who enjoy games like STALKER. If CoD is a nice handy with a little bit of spit, EFT is The human centipede 2 masturbating with sandpaper in a closet type of stuff.

ANYWAYS, The real problems with Tarkov are developer competence. BSG are NOT what I would call GOOD... at what they do. Nikita SUCKS at coding. They're VERY cheap, coming from a communist country, the servers this game runs on basically is a heavily modded easy bake oven from the early 2000's. It used to make cupy cakes now it makes 3 seconds of dsync over and over again.

So most people have heard of a Tarkov "wipe" right?

Some might say this is the BEST time to jump in for the first time, WRONG! Tarkov is AT ITS WORST after a big update or wipe. The servers go through a perpetual melt down. I'm pretty sure BSG just sit there with a fire extinguisher fighting the fire that bursts out of their servers on wipe day. Its horrible! Dsync? Maxed out bro. Wait times for a raid? Long ASF. 10-15 minutes sometimes. I've seen it go upwards into the realm of 30 minutes waiting on a raid before. Hit reg? Not working on your life pal. Did you get like 3 headshots on that guy who had no helmet on? Sorry bud the dsync says not. Client side servers working off a walkman CD player.

An Iphone hotspot in a moving car is more stable than BSG servers on wipe day, NEXT SUBJECT

Hackers

Why the F*** not? Tarkov is full of them. Arena as well. Arena might be worse. But this isnt an issue specific to Tarkov so I let Tarkov and BSG slide a bit. Hacking in general is out of control. And its killing the FPS multiplayer genre of games. There ought to be a law where its legal to break the kneecaps of people who hack on PC games. Less people would do it if you could legally snap their legs over it.

Audio,
Inconsistent as FUGG. Sometimes its great and you know exactly where shit is comming from based on the audio its creating, other times it sounds like they are dancing on your helmet and you cant tell what direction they are coming from AT ALL. Or it might sound like its coming from the opposite direction it is actually coming from. Or maybe it completely lacks the audio at all. And you got dudes sprinting like they got the dead silent perk in CoD. All due to shitty occlusion zones and BSG's inability to get that whole system right. And leave it right.

Hit boxes, Hit boxes collide alot. IDC what anyone says. Hit boxes in this game are NOT reliable, and the 3rd person animations of what you will see is not actually what's happening. God bless client side servers. Player synchronization has ALWAYS been an issue in Tarkov. Sometimes where you see a guy is not where he is on his screen and this is part of the reason why hit reg is so god awful. Player synch and desynch. Communist server structure.

Persistent issues BSG will never fix. All kinds of stuff. Little stuff that irritates you inside a bit when it happens. Hard to be specific. Cause its all kinds of different crap in this game. But little jank stuff.
Lets just call it Euro Jank.

3rd person animations.
9 years in development and the 3rd person animations still look like crap. Is dude using a mosin? Look carefully. Look at his hands. His character is holding a mosin like its an AR-15. With a VFG. Hes holding an invisible pistol grip. And when they take off running what's the gun doing? Oh, its floating in the air Infront of them, not even in their hands. That's good fun.

Tarkovs gameplay USED to ROCK. And then they started changing everything. Started with them neutering recoil. After that the dominos began to fall and now this game is basically warzone with extra steps. Way to go. 9 years to give us hardcore CoD Warzone with less unpredictable spawn system.

Then you got BSG as a company. Nikita.
These guys are SCUMMY.
The 250 dollar fiasco was inexcusable for BSG to even consider to pull on us. The fact they tried to and then they dug in FOUR times after everyone freaked out over it is very telling when it comes to the type of people they are. Obviously they see their community as some sort of cash cow they can beat dollars out of. Not very respectful for a group of basement dweller devs to do with their community. Changing shit THEY wrote about EOD owners. Trying to cover their ass like it didn't happen, this is degenerate behavior.

In conclusion.... Meh.

Delusional team of developers and an even more delusional playerbase. Can't go more than 2 raids without encountering a cheater. Progression and loot economy absolutely sucks. Worst optimisation out of any game I have played, runs at 60fps while the graphics loot like shit. Developer offers £250 pay-to-win versions of the game out of pure greed and no thought for people who don't want to spend that much money on such a bad game.

saw there was a sale going on........

saw there was a sale going on so i got eft arena. put my card in and the price went up as im located in the us(no biggy) waited a day because there download speed are insanely slow (not the end of the world). got on the next day to get a error saying my account is a localized account in lattin America and i cant play in the US. after researching i realized they advertised a copy of the game to me i couldn't play. not once did it ask what region i was in or show different prices just said 20% off. it pissed me off to the extreme but i decided to suck it up and pay for the upgrade to play in the US for $10. after putting in my card it change the price again on me to 12 USD. i once again sucked it up and hit pay. bsg then decided to pull out a random amount off money and make me verify that it was really my bank acount. they pulled out money and now i dont have enuff for the game so im now about $20 out and dont have a playable copy of the game. strait up scammer

If Escape from Tarkov were a real…

If Escape from Tarkov were a real place, you'd need therapy just for visiting. This game is less a tactical shooter and more a psychological experiment in how long players will endure punishment disguised as realism. inventory management is a spreadsheet simulator, and the only thing more persistent than wipes are cheaters. Gunplay can be great, if the servers don’t collapse or a hacker doesn’t delete you from 300 meters.

The devs? Silent. The roadmap? Vague. The experience? Like paying for PTSD.

For masochists only.

Scam

Unfinished, and never will be finished. The developers hide behind early access/beta to get away with putting little time and effort into it. Beta for 9 years, really? I am all for supporting new games but this is a complete scam.

The game says it focuses on a realism…

The game says it focuses on a realism for extraction shooters yet pushes forward a half assed armor system that over protects individuals from ballistics that should be doing much more damage to their targets. Not only that but their incredibly lacking anti-cheat system makes it as easy as a simple google search to cheat in their game with no consequences. It also provides a very unfun experience for those who insist on continuing to play. All in all it is just a poor man's rust, which even then that game is just as shit as this company is.

Give me my money back

Overpriced game, idiotic devs that are never doing anything that is really needed ingame. They are blocking negative reviews on youtube. Because it's "beta" for 100500 years and they have "right" to do so. Awful optimisation, disgusting netcode, huge input lag, cheaters. I've heard a theory that they are selling cheats themselves. I'm over 1000 hours in game.

Terrible game

Terrible game, terrible mechanics, terrible anti cheat, terrible spawn placements, terrible servers. All in all this game shouldn’t even be in beta phase. It shouldn’t have even made it to alpha. Only reason I play it is cause I was stupid enough to buy unheard edition.

The game is already bad enough you guys…

The game is already bad enough you guys don’t have to do maintenance for 10 hours straight. You’re not fooling anybody we know that it will still have the same issues within 10 minutes of relaunching the game if the game has to go down for a half of a day at least one issue should be fixed but instead there will just be new issues that will probably push me away from this game again

Game is no longer worth playing with other players

PVE is the only fun experience here. PVP is clearly full of cheaters so no point in playing the original game anymore. In arena you will only die to headshots because all your other hitboxes are ignored by their aim bots... tried to enjoy this game; i really did, been here since EOD when i was promised all future dlcs. Just know anytime you are playing tarkov with other actual players you with certainty are going to get killed by cheaters. Also in arena; separate people who have already unlocked the higher tier shit from the people playing arena the first time this wipe. it is ridiculous. Do you all intend on keeping your playerbase? because designing the game to curb stomp lvl1s and ignoring the MASSIVE cheating problem is a great way to send players elsewhere.
Also this game claims to reflect realism. Where is the realism? i shoot someone over a dozen times with 7.62x51 and they survive?????? I dare the creators to do some real life ballistic tests because this is stupid... This game takes going "full retard" to a whole new level.

Do not buy this "game"

If you bought the game in the Russian Federation or the CIS, and moved to Europe, for example, then you will not be able to play, you need to pay 40 dollars to change the region! 40 Carl! Oh, and of course, if you want to play without cheaters, in single-player, then you need to pay an additional 20 euros for a single-player game! This is just a mockery, I really regret that I ever bought this.

Could be amazing but is lacking in basic feel

Short version, game falls flat in the very basic shooter aspects. Longer version below.

Biggest beef, friend or foe. I dont have time to look at someone shoes or shirt to determine if they are PMC or SCAV. You need to make it easier in this aspect. You also need to put my co-op teams name on the screen. I understand you want this to be a super-realistic experience. Get over it, my friends arent black ops operators. They dont communicate as such. We play stuff in our free time. It doesnt take away from your experience for me to know where my friends are located. Professionals communicate and train to a degree that they move as a team and communicate to know where each other are. I and my friends dont do that, stop making it stupidly over difficult. You are losing possible players.

Long-version:
Devs did a great job researching the actual weapons and armor and items. Game feels great half the time. Watching an NPC run down stairs and keep aim on-target is ridiculous. Game visually looks great. Map variety is great. There is a lot here that could be great...just not the average gameplay. If you want a game that feels like you are smashing your peepee in a sliding door half the time...this is one of your games.
