It's a shame I can't give a zero star…

It's a shame I can't give a zero star rating to be honest.
Essex properties are the absolute worst letting agents you will ever come across. They do not care an ounce about your welfare, health, rights etc as long as they get their money from the landlords. I lived in rettendon for nearly 8 years with mould, hardly any hot water pressure. I had a lock put on my loft unlawfully and the landlord wanted extra money to be able to use it, but no one else had a lock. The landlord entered the property 3 times without my permission, he blamed me for water damage with no proof/evidence when it was the 50 year old water tank and when I asked for proof, I was just dismissed. They knew I suffer from mental health, gastritis, gallstone and cancer and yep you guessed it....ESSEX PROPERTIES DONE NOTHING. Sam who I think is the manager really needs to go and learn some laws on these matters and have some dignity along with self pride. Corrupt to the core

I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the block management company handling my property. Their communication is appalling, and they lack any basic level of customer care or transparency. I missed a fire door inspection due to being out of the country (something they never bothered to follow up on via email or phone), and instead of making any reasonable effort to contact me, they simply sent letters to the property address and imposed a £30 missed appointment fee without warning.

Worse still, I later received an unexpected £75 + VAT charge for an additional visit, which was never communicated to me in advance. When I questioned this, they claimed it was mentioned in vague letters that didn't even specify the actual amount. This kind of "hidden" charge is deceptive and unprofessional.

When I raised my concerns, I was met with dismissive responses and excuses, rather than any genuine attempt to resolve the issue or improve their communication practices. I’ve now had to escalate this matter to the Property Ombudsman because it’s clear this company has no interest in treating residents fairly or with respect.

If you value transparency, clear communication, and reasonable customer service, I strongly advise avoiding this block management company. They seem more interested in squeezing extra fees from residents than in providing any level of service or support.
