Ethical consumer magazine is an excellent, independent source of information for the consumer.
The only drawback is it is not extensive enough, over time I hope this will improve.

I use Ethical Consumer to tell me how good or bad a product or service or company is, and the information is always very well researched. There is a lot of information, but it is well structured so it's easy to filter out stuff that's not interesting.

I have been following this publication since its very first edition in 1989 and it has maintained a high level of intelligence and excellence in all its research and reporting since that time. Its occasional spotlight on the murkier aspects of global and local economies is a sad necessity, but there are always pointers to more positive alternatives.

I am a keen and regular reader of Ethical Consumer, and have been so for many years. Its style is fun yet informative, instructive without being boring, full of interesting detail yet not haranguing. I always looked forward to reading my print copy but now that we must preserve trees I read it online. I have learned from Ethical Consumer how to differentiate between facts and greenwash; as well as the most trustworthy, conscientiously operated and transparent outfits to use, whether for banking, household shopping, activities, and much else besides.

Ethical Consumer is an excellent magazine. The detailed research behind the articles is breathtaking. No other publication looks at goods and services from the ethical perspective. Invaluable.

Expert guide to all things ethical. It saves me the slog of researching every purchase. I just log in and I can find whatever I need. The magazine is an interesting read too.
