Very unprofessional behavior and inefficient claim process

We submitted a claim after accident that happened on the last trip. While the accident was traumatic enough, claim process certainly proved to be a lot more horrifying. It has been 4 months of numerous communications and we have submitted more than 30 documents during this time. Still at the moment, there is not clarity around overall state of the claim. Overall they have demonstrate extreme unprofessional behavior (for instance there is not update in last 3 weeks from them even though last email said that they are reviewing all documents". It seems like the tactic they imploy is to stretch claim process enough so that customer eventually lose patience and give up. Already reached out to various social media channels for them but again a very shallow response with no closure. Strongly not recommended

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TRAVEL…

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TRAVEL INSURANCE
3 months has been and gone and I'm still waiting for my travel insurance claim to be settled. I have posted 5 separate messages within my online claim requesting a response and have NEVER had a reply!
All they do every month or so is ask you to upload information that you've already provided. They did this twice with all my original documents.
Then 3 weeks ago I thought I was making progress as they emailed me and asked for my bank details so they could settle my claim. Clearly just another ploy to keep me quiet, because 10 days later they asked for it again.
I've still had no response to requests for a progress report and my claim is still showing as 'Reviewed'.

I am still struggling to establish how I can download a claim form despite review of 32 pages of insurance documents and questions to a ryanair bot. So far impossible to make any headway and on reading the reviews below it sounds as if their whole strategy is to pay for travel insurance without any possibility of being able to make a claim!

Genius Mr O'Leary!!

Europ Assistance = Europ FRAUD

This institution is a nightmare factory, the name "Europ (e)" - is an insult to Europe. Please remove it from your company name ASAP.

All your problems will become ‘an extension of the problem’ that happened before. And BAM! you are not covered by the policy you paid for.

How utterly absurd those assistance agents don’t even have the basic common sense to even correctly identify your problems. The inability of those agents to even handle clients professionally is beyond imagination. They try everything to speak to you in the most irritating manner. You won’t even get that angry with someone calling your name.

This insurance company covers nothing but their asses.

Avoid it unless you are looking for anger, confusion, frustration or even damages to yo mental health. If you want to get mad, call this number ‭02 533 75 75‬ in no time. The profession of those people on that line is not customer service agents. They are so professional in messing with people. They should be sent for psychological training in the police academy!

This company is definitely the hell of the insurance industry. The only thing they do is taking your hard earned money and do thing expect making you angry (omg those agents are so good at it!)

Well done Europ Assistance!

Just a scam

Just a scam. Avoid it. Bought with Ryanair, the luggage was delayed 4 days. Already several emails just to try and file a claim in their website, where it is NOT possible to file a claim, as simply it does not work.
Still waiting for a way to proceed with the reimbursements, but reading here I understand now this is just wasted time.
Just be smart, don't buy the Europ Assistance insurance because is useless.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

I've had the misfortune of coming into contact with this company after erroneously booking a flight with eDreams, the fraudulent online travel agency based in Madrid, Spain. Their strategy seems to be that of eDreams: to confuse, anger and frustrate the customer into just giving up on trying to get a refund.

Do not use this insurance

Do not use this insurance. You just waste your money.
I travelled to Mexico. I had an internal flight that was cancelled and I was rebooked on another flight. However, as a result of this, I needed to pay an extra night in a hotel.
Europ Assistance refused to refund it.
It took almost 1.5 months before an answer from these guys.

Why didn't I search these reviews…

Why didn't I search these reviews before I purchased this insurance. It's a fraud company. My VISA was on the verge of being declined by Lithuania consulate (for Switzerland) due to insufficient coverage of Europ Assistance. I had to purchase another insurance on the spot otherwise my VISA would have been declined.

Their documents have a clause that clearly states that if VISA is declined they will reimburse. I contacted them but they didn't refund my money. I'm submitting a dispute charges with my credit card today. At least the CC company will blacklist them if they receive too many dispute charges.

I think Europ Assistance is making money just by providing insufficient coverage and not refunding.

Absalutely rediculous company

Absalutely rediculous company. I cancelled a flight as my wife was admitted to hospital. I produced all the relevant information in my claim only to have it closed because I didn't submit the relevant information. This couldn't be more untrue. I sent everything and more. I called 5 times to be told there was nothing to be done. This is what insurance companies do these days. Charge an extremely high premium and in the event of a claim they make it so difficult that they hope you will eventually just go away. This company does this completely. I hope someone reads this and decides to not use this company.

SHAME (HONTE) to (à) EUROP ASSISTANCE

Shame on Europ Assistance who rejected (on 23/10) in Mexico our request for help following the fracture of my wife's femur! The interlocutor who never wanted to give me his name to pretend that a previous accident of my wife rejected his request of assumption of responsibility. (Insurance via MasterCard Card). The summit of SHAME was reached when he told me to meet the French Embassy! I insisted that no one had examined my wife and that it was impossible to say 10,000 km. His only answer was to ask me to see the embassy. All the while, my wife was in the femur. She was fractured for several hours. I plan to follow up this case when we return to FRANCE.
RIDICULE...

TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE! AWFUL! DO NOT APPROACH THIS COMPANY.

So wish I could have awarded no stars!!!

Thought I had booked insurance via my Ryanair booking (another review to be written on that). However, on trying to download the certificate it did not recognise the policy number. I have been trying to resolve this issue for the past 2 days with no success. No one at Ryanair remotely interested and Europ Assistant impossible to reach. I did receive one email reply - "you must register your request below your Ryanair ID Booking". I have my boarding passes printed and that does not now seem to be an option. Reading all the below reviews I think Europ Assistance will be banking this payment with no good outcome for me. I think I'll simply have to book insurance elsewhere.
